  1. Does anyone know how many bros the boomerang with the 30mm turret can contain? Infantry bros that is, not crew bros. If it can carry a full Russian squad I will state for the record it is my favorite non Typhoon new Russian vehicle. Typhoon-K, the MRAP thing with four wheels at the front is the best thing man has ever created. We should intro an exact copy into US service for no other reason that its appearance. Are there any plans known about Typhoon-K production and if it will be widespread.
  2. A possibly obscure example of ERA and thin armor not being good partners is the Soviet era studies for putting K1 ERA on Bmp-1. It was found K1 explosion would inflict damage comparable to the impact of the weapon K1 was meant to stop. An example of this is that Assadite forces have ample surplus K1 tiles but don't employ them on that platform despite widespread attempts to up-armor it. In essence chu gun need thicka steel fo dem tiles or ERA might pose a great risk of causing damage to secondary systems that simply allowing projectile through might have prevented. This seems especially reasonable if there is minimal chance of anyone getting killed by a penetration. Also shout out to LnL for eloquence in the face of adversity.
  3. Speaking of American gun shows: This video appears to demonstrate the G36 technical issues may be overblown.
  4. Woah, the T-15 era in that video sticks out like wings.
  5. I am starting to get excited to see this new line of fighting vehicles, and I am a crusty American savage.
  6. As one of your customers, I would buy the hell out of that.
  7. So they have actually approved it. It will probably be a remote weapon station like this one, so as not to eat up internal space. I seem to recall with this modification it could still carry nine bros. 30mm Stryker in CMBS when?
  8. Also on the subject of monkey model nonsense, the Syrian's operate the T-72A, the Soviet model, in some numbers still (Even warsaw pact didn't get this model) and they feature exciting turret-lift action of the type seen in Iraq, but recorded live for our viewing pleasure due to the wonders of the digital age.
  9. Seems at least reasonable, as its power plant is very unusual and not in a configuration known for reliability.
  10. As interesting as doctrinal discussion is, I feel this engine was glossed over without proper comment. It is a very interesting configuration, x12 if I'm not mistaken. A quick google search of X engines reveals very few have been made, mostly prototypes for WW2 era aircraft. Is this engine based on some existing engine or this a unique design? It is extremely compact for its power, or so it appears. A mechanic I know explained these X engines tend to provide more power but have shorter lifespans than a flat or V engine. Also odd is the choice of three cylinders to a bank, apparently odd numbers like that are harder on the crankshaft. Irregardless the most interesting deviation in tank engines since the turbine engine. (Also turbine engine 4 lyfe)
  11. I have posted this TASS article earlier in the thread, the plans outlined by this Russian general reflect the forces CMBS extremely well and it seems to be a reasonable plan. The short of it is lots of t-72b3, t-90 upgrades, btr-82a, and upgrades for bmp-2 and bmp-3.
  12. I'd say it looks more like Polish Anders IFV.
  13. Little information is available on Corsar, but its name at least appears to be correct.
  14. The Skif ATGM has recently restarted production for the Ukrainian army, but for domestic use it is designated the Stugna-P. The name SKIF is an export designation, the name in the game should be changed to reflect that. The actual missle is the same.
  15. North Korea is always impressive. Su-100 tarted up with USA markings: Also this monster, unidentified 370mm recoil-less rifle: Also the Yak-18 still flies, admittedly as a trainer and light attack craft: Basically the equipment of the North Korean army is just there so the military has something to do. Even if the upgraded the entire force to T-72m1s or hell even the T-72S they would just fight the Battle of 73 Easting again, but at a even bigger disadvantage as BLUFOR weapons have improved.
  16. I have never played a single player game of Combat Mission since shock force. Only ever multiplayer the best possible AI. So I would not pay for single player features.
  17. Kuznetsov is badly in need of an overhaul, its in such a poor state being assigned to it is considered a form of punishment. Also its fighter wing was supposed to be replaced with Mig-29ks to replace su-33 which is past the projected end of its service life but that never happened, as angry Slavic Mexico has no money to spend on non submarine projects.
  18. My favorite photos to emerge from North Korea propaganda videos showing their power are as follows: Its just like Kursk, only, well, higher definition.
  19. Kettler-san, More info about Syria's jammers can be found here. I have been told these legacy systems are almost totally useless against modern fuses, which have filters for jamming. On a side note, Oryx has one of the best Syrian equipment sites on the internet.
  20. BTR-san is it possible the T-64 texture could be made available. The one in game isn't nearly as sexy as yours.
  21. Something that I find interesting about so called Ukrainian Neo-Nazi formations, IE Aidar Battalion and Azov Battalion is that they are supported by prominent Jewish figures. For instance, Right sector spokesman Boryslav Bereza who has been elected to the Rada is Jewish. And Azov is bank-rolled by Igor Kolomoisky a Jewish billionaire. As such I find it hard to believe that either group are disciples of Hitler, although some of the soldiers do seem to be. Back on topic, Steve a new video has been posted featuring seperatist commander Mozgovoy calling Debaltseve unsuccessful due to seperatist casualties. It appears your assessment was most accurate. Sadly no ENG subtitles, yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs1pdoGx-SI
  22. It's a B-FIST, that is fancy spotting sight
  23. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-P05uRDGPU Same scene with the ship, now with red, white and blue commentary. Also amusing, the translated title of this video is "On board the Freedom arrived in Riga polite black people, Abrams tanks and BMP Bradley". Polite Black Men>Polite Green Men
  24. Not the best picture, but interesting camo on this Ukrainian btr-70 defending Shyrokyne.
  25. That new polish rifle the MSBS is looking better and better with time. The kind of gun the ACR should have been, it has all the best ideas from many of the cutting edge rifles. The conventional layout rifle is particularly attractive, as opposed to the bullpup. Have heard the ones on show at shotshow 2015 were impressive. I can say with confidence I will purchase one once they hit US civilian market. http://youtu.be/27Te9cGGVpI Also, I have said this several times but Poland is life, Poland is love. Including Poland in CMBS in some future module would separate me from my US dollars with impressive speed. In short, add Poland.
