I recently purchased SC1 for the second time, DL version, because I lost my CD copy. I love the game but I am extremely frustrated because I can't get it to run on Win. 7.
I am not very computer 'fluent' but I have patched and altered the registry for (as per instructions) games before.
I followed the hot fix instructions for this game carefully and made several attempts to get it going to no avail.
I won't post the error messages I got because I am not interested in a solution anymore.
I wonder if this 'hot fix' is the best solution getting the game to run on a current OS or the easiest for non computer savy guys like me.
Goodbye Strategic Command, it was fun! : )
