I know what you imply. Adult age in 1948 are probably all mostly dead but would be great grandparents if alive. Their story could be that: the world - the UN - had a partition plan but we rejected it and took things in our hands militarily - but we lost. Or maybe another guy remembers his pride in knowing an old Jewish woman was pushed in her wheelchair off the deck of the Achille Laro. 
The future stories better talk of how happy they were at how many baby occupiers were beheaded on 10/7.
The possibly better parallel to the Palestinian suffering is the German grandparents telling how the RAF and USAAF bombed them. But no US or British celebrities were asking for donations. Like now. US colleges didn't erupt with protests siding with the 1941 Japanese.

I think we are witnessing what I call a Post Pearl Harbor 1941 National Mood. The Oct 7 attack inflicted a Pearl Harbor equivalent level of impact to the mood to go to total war. 
I think this will be very ugly the next few months. 
One other thought I had is that maybe the 1973 Yom Kippur IDF soldiers are the grandfathers or grandmothers of these current younger age IDF soldiers. The lesson of Yom Kippur is the surprise assault against Israel. Imagine your Grandpa went through that and what he might pass on the feeling of that time, as a warning. A defining moment for that older generation. 
Lyrics even have a reference to mom and dad and then grandpa and grandma. It supports that this is something very special to the Israelis. We will see extremes in response.

Well, Phill, it was only an idea, just saying, I know all is difficult to do, but I know so long, this is a "intern model" of CM this will be possible.
There is always more Ideas in two heads instead alone thinking. 😉

No permis es necesario. The actual mod is not going to be used. It is just a modding technique that uses some image slots as transparent to reduce the number of helmets appearing. Some soldiers have no helmet.

You're welcome. I hope my fix does the trick.
I looked at the date and time last modified for the 18 *.wav files I edited. It took me a total of 15 minutes of my life to edit the files.
I guess BFC is just too busy to ever fix these pathetically simple things? Or a better question: Why did a CMSF "modern" crypto synch tone wav file get used for a WW2 game? 
EDIT: ok, there is always a chance I missed a BFC patch that did solve this. If so, I would retract my previous whine.

 

I think it is a good idea to place our mods on CMMODS. Bootie gets to things as he can. No big hurry I always say.

@Artkin Just FYI if of any use to your needs...
I made a mod for CMRT to be France 1940 and ended up using the Kriegsmarine troops to be German heer infantry. They didn't have rifle grenades which suited my 1940 setting. They always had MG34 and very rare panzerfausts that can be split off as a 2-man AT team and sent to an "exit zone filter" or holding pen. Like you said 1-2 per platoon. 

My fix to the CMFI British voices for artillery command phrases. Probably works for CMBN as well. The satellite crypto synch tone is edited out in audacity.

1. the announcement of WHAT will be the CMFI battle pack previously mentioned. Crickets on that.
2. Information on when we might see the CMFB module that ends the war and brings in  the Commonwealth. Will it have the Pershing? Inquiring minds want to know.
3. Engine 5 development status.
 
 
 

HAHAHA, yes. I love the content creation but I do see a point where I will hang up this CM modding hobby and shift to a different way to get my WW2 fix.
