Ivanov got a reaction from IanL in What I'd like to see in CM3...
My number one wish is to have working and realistic pathfinding routines or at least being able to give "follow the road" order to a group of vehicles.

In my current game I've received a company size tank reinforcements. Now I have to give a detailed movement orders to every single vehicle, just to make sure that they arrive ok to the frontline. It's  completely mundane, boring and unproductive task. It often makes me quit the scenario that I was excited about, because I feel that I'm better off reading a book or watching a series than repeating over and over this exercise.

Interesting.. I just ordered this book.  Will read it and whip out a Scenario after I finish reading the book.  Never done any Campaigns but I can at least do a really good scenario.  Want to get all the accurate details and such.  Will post again when finished.  LOL probably in a month or two.

    Great news! Thanks.
The product page for Rome to Victory says that it has 2 campaigns and 8 standalone battles. I assume that should be 18 standalone battles, to bring it in line with the other similarly priced modules? (Even the $10 battle packs have had a campaign and 10+ battles....)

Creating 3D models is probably one of the most expensive parts of making a computer game. So given the Battlefront's limited resources, hoping that they will invest their time and $ in some secondary units, is a pipe dream.

Okay - show us the coding you can do to to implement necessary use of motorcycles on front line - including reversing 😉 animations showing pixeltroopen putting the bike on its centre stand when parking up, shooting on the move and importantly jumping over barb wire fences.  Again if you want to mimic motorcycle reccie riders get a nominated driver & pile em up in a jeep or Kubel - park up behind behind a house or trees when approaching suspected enemy locations, disembark and walk a bit further to watch & wait rinse & repeat....

For a guy sitting sidelined for a serious medical issue you are getting far too worked up.  We'd like you to be around a bit longer so please try to mellow down a bit.  If you don't we'll have to speak to the nursing staff about cutting off your wifi privileges.

One of the things that have been grating me is the fact that there's no indication on the website of these, more or less game breaking, bugs being present. By trying the demo of CMFI for instance I could easily be led to believe that things are functioning as they ought to be in the current version. When in reality, I could be waiting for a few months to have the game I paid $80 for to take the shape of what was advertised. That's the real kicker here, lack of information, not the very long delay to see the issues addressed. I wonder what happened to the notion expressed in the sales policy that an informed customer is a happy customer.

I am now, to be honest, getting tad dispirited and impatient for the patches or news about their progress.

For me the best thing about his channel is, that he often bases his research on the German sources, that are normally not available for the English speaking crowd.

You could start with the ungrateful colonials from over the pond. But I'm afraid if we go down that way, the Arabs may start charging everybody for the use of their numerals.

17 shoots to kill a Stalin tank. This is consistent with my experience from this game.

We couldn't wish for better Allies. And most Dutch soldiers speak German anyway. And a lot of Germans speak Dutch too, I've noticed.
But I have to say one thing. A more independent, stronger and better equipped EU army would be very welcome, but we will always need to remember that we have MUCH more in common with US, Britain and our other present NATO allies than we have with certain other powers. Let's hope the present irritation between these natural allies will disappear if those who cause it also disappear, because nobody is going to benefit from disunity, except our enemies. A lot of propaganda about these days. I sometimes wonder if that also didn't play a role in the Brexit and the alienation between US and Europe. Let's be careful.

To answer those who question the purpose of "EU army". It is needed, because there are some tasks, that the US led NATO is reluctant to undertake. It's supposed to be complementary to NATO, not to replace it. Basically NATO is now back to it's roots, namely defending the alliance against the conventional threats. But currently Europe has also other types of problems. The EU marine forces conduct operations on the Mediterranean to manage the refugee crisis. EU troops are also present in Africa because that's where the refugees are coming from.

Polish troops during the EUFOR mission in Chad 2008-2009. At the same time Poland had a contingent in Afghanistan as a part of NATO mission there.

One of the current projects of European Defence Agency, is the focus on the modernisation of the Leopard 2A4 fleet used by the European countries. The participants are: Austria ( 114 tanks ), Finland ( 139 tanks ), Grece ( 183 tanks ), Poland ( 142 tanks, already being modernised ), Spain ( 108 tanks in the storage ).

Another view is to flip this around and ask why wouldn't they have been working on the patch this whole time?
It's been 2 years and 3 months now since they broke some pretty fundamental parts of their own game -- broken to the point that many people can barely enjoy the typical stock scenario. And not just one title broken, but all of them.
When the issues with v4 were first brought to light, I would have never believed that it'd still be almost literally years before we saw them fixed.
Perhaps Battlefront needs to start actually paying more testers and content creators, in order to get things moving along, instead of relying on the generosity of so many volunteers?
I've defended Battlefront and heaped praise on the game many times over the past 4 to 5 years, but at some point a customer's patience and good will just gets used up.
"Niche market" is no excuse for a fix to the underlying game engine to have taken this long.
