It is all about attitudes and perceptions, both sides of this "argument"(for lack of a better word) seem to feel that their perception of the game is valid and also seem to take the attitude that a opposing view is "hostile" to their perception. I can almost understand this if we were talking about political or religious ideologies....but this is a GAME we are talking about....50-60 bucks isn't something to sneeze at in this economy but seriously some of you might want to examine your priorities....

My head hurts trying to follow this thread Are we still talking about how hard CMBN is or have we morphed to whose country has the biggest/best twig and berries? In regards to the "winningness" of the game, I'm downright horrible at it but I really enjoy the feeling that I've used good tactics no matter what the outcome. Kind of a zen thing I know, but it is in the doing that I find the enjoyment.

Since hardly anyone pays attention to Joe or Hans the buck private, but notices when the plt leader buys it, I gonna go with the the bias theory...except of course, in the case of MY games, since obviously the game has it out for ME

How enjoyable CM is against another human The AI is fun but nothing beats the sheer unpredictability of the human melon. I had also forgotten the enjoyment of PBEM, I like the waiting, it adds to the "nail biting" factor. Thanks again Battlefront.

I'm old CMx1 player, coming back for CMBN. I'm looking for some PBEM games, any size any side any kind I'm just this side of hideous but I do enjoy the challenge. If I recon with infantry, there is a MG42 waiting. If I recon with armor, there is a PAK 75 waiting. If I assault with both, both are waiting, with artillery support. Any shot that does not kill a Sherman outright will invariably knock out the main gun or immobilize it, or both.
