  1. which is what the tanks do when their tracks are "light green." consider the light green status equivalent to full health, except one wire closer to a jam on the 99/100 tally.
  2. and have head-count go all the way down to 10%. and be able to see the weapons of each soldier in the squad, so I don't have to hit deploy each time I want to double check or see if I got lucky to get what I want to design.
  3. i didn't notice/know that. that's huge! is it the same organization for germans? 98k's only for armored infantry?
  4. how do you get an infantry squad of garands only?
  5. Does CMBN model the greater ROF of MG42, relative to Browning (either BAR, M1919, or M1917) and allow that to translate to, dare I say, greater suppression and lethality? More specifically, MG42 vs BAR since these were the corresponding automatic weapons at the squad level. ie, Do MG42 and BAR have the same suppressive/lethality effects (maybe designed that way for game balance)? If so, should we cry out?
  6. totally agree. I asked cuz I don't notice any effect when tracks are light green.
  7. do your tanks actually suffer mobility? I know the green "health" bar of the tracks turns a bit yellow, but how much is it affecting your King Tiger, already a slow mofo to begin with?
  8. Ask one of the crazy modders, though I doubt they could add 3d mass to the vehicles. it'd just be plastered on. - Oh, how about AI triggers?
  9. i feel snubbed, mine wasn't added to Emrys' sig. I guess Dr. Dietrich had it right all along.
  10. As designer I can't get my armor to start a mission buttoned up
  11. Roach has put together an amazingly well-researched historical scenario of the encounter at Le Carrefour
  12. I'm gonna go with "i love realism, but I'm glad they cut some slack on this one." how infuriating would that be if some dumb pixeltruppen killed himself when he was your last chance to win. i think that his grenade will kill friendlies of a different unit. that's enough for me. plus, which dumb real truppen would miss clearing a door of a bunker?
  13. cool. this is why i'm still playing. hope that guy vomits
  14. Do I understand you right, that less experienced/disciplined units might target outside their arc (presumably out of fear)?
  15. (without knowing the specific situation) why did you limit the distance on your arc?
  16. i think their utility is most appreciated when you don't want your tanks turning any-which way to engage a new target, but rather focus on a narrow front or if you are trying to stay hidden and setting up an ambush. it really has no use in prioritizing targets; hence the cmx1ers with armored arcs are smiling on their high horses
  17. where can i find a similar table for US/Allied weapons penetration values?
  18. my only time period is WWII. I see "CMSF" and like a narcoleptic, I'm out just like that
  19. my test shows that mg42 team will only fire upon an unbuttoned m8, with a head sticking out. but, at close range, if there is a little elevation to the mg team, ie on 2nd floor or a hill, it will still fire on a buttoned m8, presumably because they think they have an angle into the unprotected canopy. the results are devastating
