I have a hard copy published by Excalibur Publishing. I had already read the article on the changes to DEP and do not understand. By default DEP is only enabled for essential Windows programs. I do not understand why should I turn it on for all programs and then establish exceptions. Re-reading the page Battlefront think I've made a mistake: it is quite clear that expansion will only work with Centaur ToW2 of Battlefront. Patience: I threw $ 25. Remains a problem: ToW2 (previously worked) now will not start.

I own a hard copy of Theatre of War 2 - Africa 1943 installed on a different path than the default. On friday I bought on the site of the Battlefront 'expansion "Centaurus", along with the link I received the activation code. I installed the 'expansion in the same path and have not received any message of error. At the end, the procedure did not ask me to activate the game. I launched the exe file. Result: nothing. I remain on the desktop. Since the installation procedure overwrites the original exe, of course not even the most basic game. In an attempt to restore the initial situation (TOW 2 running), I, 's order: - Withdrawn the 'activation - Uninstall the game, - Clean the registry, - Reinstalled the game, - Remade 's activation. Un paio di mesi fa ho comprato la versione “scatolata” di Theatre of war 2 – Africa 1943. L’ ho installata (percorso diverso da quello di default), attivata con il seriale ed ho normalmente giocato. Venerdì ho comprato e scaricato dal sito di Battlefront l’ espansione “Centauro”; insieme al link ho ricevuto anche il codice d’ attivazione. Ho installato l’ espansione nello stesso percorso del gioco “base” e non ho ricevuto nessun messaggio d’ errore. Al termine, la procedura non mi ha chiesto di attivare il gioco. Ho lanciato l’ eseguibile pensando che l’ attivazione mi sarebbe stata chiesta al primo avvio. Risultato: il nulla. La clessidra blinca per un paio di secondi lo HD gira un po’ … ma rimango sul desktop. Non vedo messaggi d’ errore. Visto che la procedura d’ installazione sovrascrive l’ eseguibile originale, ovviamente non parte più nemmeno il gioco base. Per cercare di ristabilire la situazione iniziale (ToW 2 funzionante) ho, nell’ ordine: - revocato l’ attivazione, - disinstallato il gioco, - pulito il registro, - reinstallato il gioco, - rifatto l’ attivazione (stranamente mi sono ritrovato il seriale giusto nel format). Risultato: solo il desktop. Conclusione: ora non solo non posso usare l’ espansione ma non riesco nemmeno usare il gioco base. Nel forum in lingua inglese ho trovato un topic che sembra fare al caso mio (http://www.battlefront.com/helpdesk/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=62). Pur sembrandomi in suggerimento strano (prima devo attivare il DEP su tutti gli eseguibili e poi stabilire delle eccezioni) ho provato. Ovviamente non è cambiato nulla. Qualcuno ha un suggerimento ?
