The main benefit is that the game will remain in your steam library thus making it much easier to install\reinstall without potential difficulties with retrieving your battlefront account, emailed key, downloading the installation package etc.

The con is launching process takes a bit longer time, plus some of the products may be first released here and on Steam later (I hope they will be released simultaneously, but who knows).

Thanks dbsapp, so not much difference at all then really! Will probably take the plunge once the time comes. thanks again.

  2. Once the WWII games get transferred to Steam, (being the only ones i own), what does this actually mean? You just sign up to Steam and play as "normal"? What are the benefits of this? Will Steam be the only platform the games are accessible in the future? Also, what could be the downside of this?

Soz for all the questions, would like to know the pro,s n con,s before signing up to anything.

  3. As a side point, in the video, how on earth did you get the side menu to pop up on screen for orders? Lovely touch!

I did some tests , when The British 51mm mortar is out of he ammo the target line says "its out of range" over 20m for the remaining wp and smoke rounds which is not the case.

As a side note, how did you get the sub menu to pop up on screen to give orders? that is a lovely little touch!

I pre-ordered Wordor two reasons. One to help it get? to No1 in UK albums charts. And two, cuz the shop owner promised me the wall display.

I've never been that fussed about buying anything that may or may not get in the charts since.

So, pray tell, did they shop owner stick to his word?

I recall seeing a funny "rock band style" T-Shirt:  "Hitler World Tour 1939-1945" with a list of the cities his band was playing in.

I remember this T shirt well, and thought the "cancelled" venues on the back was superb. My mate had one and i wanted to get one, however, my dad had other ideas! His father had fought through Europe at the back end of the war, Suffice to say, he WASN'T impressed!!

Can see his point now, but as a young teenager, couldn't see anything wrong with it at all.

You do not have to extract it to any game directories. Here is what you do:

    1) Extract the patch .rar or .zip file to a new empty folder

    2) Navigate to that folder and run the setup program

    3) Let the install program do the work for you - just double check the install location - it tries to guess but if you used a non default location it can get this wrong. You want to point the installer to the folder where the game .exe files is located.

When you say "navigate" to that folder and run set up program, not quite sure what you mean. it doesn't give me an option to do any of that. 😕

  7. Thanks domfluff,

Think i may have cracked it!  Thank you for your prompt reply.😉.

As usual, the Battlefront Community is 2nd to none.

Edit. Have managed to download, do i need to then compress it to a zipped file then extract it? if so, where do i extract it to? Have tried numerous locations, both games still showing older versions.
