  1. How could you measure the actual fps performance?
  2. Hi, I have some troubles with the mission "Sniper Hunt" of the campaign. If I choose some additional units before starting the battle the game crashes at the end of the progression bar screen. The resulting log file is attached (1st log.txt). If I start the battle without choosing additional units from the beginning, the battle starts but all the armored enemy units explode (!), and the british armored units, along with cannons are without their crew and without ammo. I can play the battle for few minutes but at the end it will crash although. The resulting log file is attached (2nd log.txt). I have installed JSH 1.3.1. Could someone help me with that? Thank you pdp_ita 1st log.txt 2nd log.txt
  3. I have seen in another post that you are using MS Vista ...... uhm, maybe that's the problem:o! I refuse to use it and stick on the good'ol MS XP, so I am sparing myself a lot of additional troubles. pdp_ita
  4. Well I don't know what the problem is, but I can tell you that I never had troubles with add-on installations. I have installed the original version of ToW, then Ueberpatch (ver. 1.10.0.81) and then JSH v. 1.2.2. pdp_ita
  5. Hi tooz, I am not an expert of ToW but I give you a couple of simple advices. Usually you should find the installation instructions in the zip file of the battle/campaign/mod, but normally what you have to do is: battles= simple copy the battle files - I mean the entire battle folder - in your ToW installation directory under "Missions\SINGLE_MISSIONS" (e.g.: C:\Program Files\Battlefront\Theatre of War\Missions\SINGLE_MISSIONS), and that's it. After doing that you can start ToW again and you will find the fresh installed battle listed under "Single User/Battles". campaigns= the same as above but the final directory is only "Missions". maps= again with ending directory "maps" instead. For the modded items you have to read carefully the installation instruction, but is more or less the same simple copy job as before. pdp_ita
  6. Hi, I am trying to generate a battle mission out of Desna map, but I am having troubles with it. I have modified the map, adding trenches, barbed wires, some roads and a bridge, and I built a couple of test battles after that. The problem is that up and then, after a modification of the map, the battles are stopping to work just after the battle loading (ToW crashes automatically). After the issue happens the modified map is unusable!! Doing the mod work again from scratch is not funny! Could you help me to figure out what is wrong with it? In attachment you can find the LOG file after the crash (use WordPad). Thank you pdp_ita log.txt
  7. Sorry for the stupid question: is there a manual for modding? I have seen many posts regarding scripting, but I do not know where to start to understand how this kind of things are working. Thanks pdp_ita
  8. Hi guys, I have seen using tanks, or perhaps anti tank guns, that if you have already loaded a round in your cannon, let's say an AP, you are not able to unload it and change it with another type, HE for example, unless you "discharge" the gun firing the previously loaded round. Is this the normal procedure for those WWII guns or is it a bug? Many times it is annoying to waste a good "they're-never-enough" AP round, only to be able to load an HE round in order to get rid of an AT gun! Thanks, pdp_ita
  9. Hi there, I noticed today, looking very close the firing action of a US soldier, that the M1 Garand is used like a bolt action rifle in ToW. I mean, the cinematics are the same as of the Mauser K98k, and therefore his rate of fire. Something you noticed too, or is it related only to a mistakenly designed battle? pdp
