  1. i would love to see ALL the bases on and have the possibility of turning them on and off ... like in cm1 .. as if they were icons, not floating, making it possible to see at a glance all the units exactly where they are.. not under a floating icons..
  2. i HATE floating icons, too floating to me. I would LOVE to have the possibility of toggling bases on and off as in CM1.. PLEASE PLEASE.. is the mod on his way?? thanks
  3. I hope to be able to help being Italian.. Albe Pavo is right. salvando il soldato ryan would sounds funny to me.. now we are waiting for the scenario..
  4. I love CMBN I loved the colored bases of CMBO CMBB CMAK I hate the floating icons so high over units in CMBN quick question.. Has anything changed in CMFI? Is it possible to have those icons floating.. a little less.. or have colored bases beneath units? Thanks
  5. No way to play.. it crash (back to ipad home screen) just after the computation of the turn. Sometimes I can play 2 or 3 turns (which is even more frustrating given the inability to save). Most of the time it crashes during the first computation phase.. Am I the only one??
  6. Yes, well known problem.. I had the same with win7 + ati 5770 just download (buy!) the vista patch and it solves it. If you want to be really sure before buying just download the latest demo. If the demo is working well then the vista patch will do the trick. In my case it worked.
  7. I agree with all of you. I do not plan on returning to TOW, and performance is better in CMBN, and TOEs are better in CMBN, and c2 is fantastic in CMBN.... But at least I' m not the only one that see a difference.. TOW2 graphics IS superior.. Said that I hope that subsequent mods and patches will help..
  8. I played TOW series waiting for CMBN. One thjing I liked of TOW, expecially TOW2, was graphics.. I find CMBN ok but not at that level. (I'm not talking about accuracy of details in equipment or veichle, I'm talking about general feeling and smoothness of graphic engine, grass, how buildings blend in the environment..) Am I completely off? After 10 years of waiting my expectations were higher than the reality..
  9. I finally played the scenario not caring for the tutorial. I used the shermans as FO (I did not know it was possible) after I knocked out the Atg. The precision of p Mortars is VERY different depending, probably, by FOs and the sir LOS.. Anyway the mortar directed by the HQ on second floor of observation post missed the target by 20 meters... I even tried to adjust the mission.. No way.. They were firing short of intended target. I found too easy getting st martin' s farm and at the end it was a total victory with only 5 casualties on my side. At the end I moved everyone forward and I forgot to leave someone in the overwatch position: I did not get the points for controlling it! Nice scenario.. Just do not try to do exactly what the tutorial suggests
  10. VERY glad I' m not the only one with that LOS problem.. I agree nobody forces you to follow the tutorial.. But if you decide to do it finding such problems leaves you with the uneasy feeling of doing something wrong or missing something.. I can now play the scenario with no regrets..
  11. Ok, I know it is possible to turn off icons. But w/o icons and w/o bases it takes a VERY good eye to spot all the units. One thing is not clear to me: is it already available a mod for colored bases or some of you folks are just working on it? Thanks BTW the game is great!!
  12. I simply do not like those floating icons.. Is there a way to get the colored bases s in CM1?.. Far more accurate ... Any different views? Any suggestions? I might be slow but figuring out where exactly a unit is takes some camera rotations..
  13. excellent engine to simulate battles.. but... no battles! We need something like the quick battle generation of Combat Mission. That was excellent!! The experience of TOW says: do not rely on user generated battles, the editor is too complicated to use.
  14. I thought a forum about an historical wargame to be immune from such ignorance... may I suggest you to play tetris instead? warmest regards
  15. I understand Moon reply. My comparison of retail prices with download prices has been probably unfair. ..after all, I might end up buying the Mission pack anyway being a proud owner of almost all Battlefront products. But I still think that a 25USD small mission pack for a 45USD game is simply overpriced. ..ANYWAY.. good to know developers are still working on TOW. I love the game.
