Re-posting this as I know he was a well known figure among the early Combat Mission titles.  I remember his scenarios well from those early days of CM.  RIP "Wild" Bill Wilder.
"It is with a sad heart that I need to report the passing of Bill Wilder. For those of you that know my history, Bill Wilder was one of the first gamers to join me when I founded Matrix Games. Our first project together was the Steel Panthers World At War game. I had just recently chatted with him and it was just like old times. I will greatly miss him.

If you care for Napoleonic games: Have a look at the OSG series. Say „grand tactical“ games, where one counter equals a Brigade or a Division and a game covers one campaign. Some of them, like „Napoleon at Bay“, are extremely good. Most are quite manageable, others get pretty big...

Very sad.  I remember buying his scenario sets (nowadays called DLCs) for games like Wargame Construction Set: TANKS! by Norm Koger.  this was ~100 years ago it seems now.

Very cool MOS!  Nice job and very informative!  It would be interesting to see something like this done for CMBS with all the squad radios etc.  Also it would be nice to see the C2 difference between nations.

Sorry if this was already posted but I did not have time to look through all 60 pages.  Apparently during that "Dog and Pony" show a T-14 crapped out and needed to be towed away.

Ok, as a (Non US) lawyer I´ll try  :

In the case of Armata Vs. Skeptics the Court finds as follow:

    - That given the complete lack of evidence to support anything resembling technical specs, the only thing we deem proven is that Armata exist...sort off

    - In light of the preceding ruling, on the question of who will have custody until majority of age, the Court awards it to LockandLoad because he cares about it the most

    - The previous decision notwhistanding Steve is allow visitation rights to check on it from time to time and keep it honest on the question of future module inclusion

    - And finally, Panzer, while not very fond of it, is appointed tutor, to teach T-14 how to be a proper tank and not some hybrid nonsense that every other tank in the yard will mock and bully

    - No damages are awarded to any party since the only things affected are egos and prides and the Court finds that those have no monetary value on the Internet

And if everybody is unhappy with the ruling, we´ll know I did a good job  , as any lawyer knows usually the worst settlement is better than the best ruling

xIGuNDoCIx reacted to panzersaurkrautwerfer in Question about AT4 rocket
M136 is the successor to the LAW.  One shot and she's done, there's no alternate varieties of rockets to load.  The more AT4 type rockets you put in a unit, the more launchers you're giving to your dudes vs more ammunition.

    Re: Carl G

It hasn't come to much as far as I can tell.  The M136 remains the "bear mace" weapon for dealing with tanks and armor, and its about as good as any other rocket for that purpose.  As far as busting bunkers and the like, the pressing need just sort of went away.  Between aviation, other ground systems (truck mounted TOWs, Javelins, MK-19s, tanks etc) and the shifting nature of both the war on terror conflicts (away from going block to block, cave to cave) the role is more or less filled "well enough."
