Awesome thanks! What do you mean by sniping the Tunguskas? You mean like with an actual sniper rifle? I had my snipers on limited cover arcs, and tried taking them out with artillery.

Am playing the US campaign Task Force 3-69. First two missions went well, Total Victories. One thing I've discovered about CMBS is that you really can take your time to figure out where Armor is lurking, using UAVs and slow moving scouts. The other is that with all that mobility, it's possible to bypass a lot of enemy to get to an objective. Very cool, lots of fun. Just opened the third mission and simply put. I have no idea how to go about this. Any thoughts? I'll post mine as I tackle this monster.

I was able to sneak up to 50 M of an enemy trench by crawling my soldiers in bounding overwatch. i.e. one soldier crawls, stops, another crawls forward. i think it can depend on the angle (if the tank or crew is looking down at the crawling soldier.

Chazman: you amaze me. Do you think you've made your point yet or will a full scale protest with signs and chants be what it takes? Tell you what: send me your address and I'll mail you a check for the game. Some of us like the game enough that we're willing to add constructive criticism without insulting the developers or other users. I happen to really like the game. In your book, that makes me a moron?

Keep in mind that scenario designers will be creating custom campaigns that will, most likely, be a LOT better than the out-of-the-box ones.

Is this patchable or is this just something we'll have to live with?

I love this game. Really. You hate it. Many people love it. Others will hate it. This is life. If you don't like the game: oh well. There was a demo. You could have tried it before buying, no? So who's the moron? I tried the demo, loved it, purchased the game, and got my money's worth. You did what?

What strategies have people used to win the third mission of the Allied campaign? I'm working on an AAR with screenshots, but I'd love to hear what other people did.

How can someone who hates the game so much keep posting? I mean, how many hours does this person spend here? It's mind boggling . . . I agree. Awesome game. LOS is definetely modelled, as is LOF. I've tested it. Infantry out in the open and infantry in dense trees have much different survival rates = )

That would soooo blow the game above and beyond all expectations. Now, imagine this (I don't think it'll be possible): send your friends the video file of your battle so they can appreciate your tactial genius! Can you imagine! Video AARs = )
