Thank you Slysniper. Always nice to hear player comments.
Meijel is one of those more obscure battles in Holland after the failure of Market Garden. Finding detailed info was pretty hard, but eventually I found enough. Only on the German OOB info was scarce.
But I could not resist making it. It is my own backyard . I went to visit the site too, but much has changed.
The map is VERY much like it was in 1944, based on detailed period maps and photos. It was fun to make. It is somewhat oversized. This is intentional to give players a good feel of what the area looked like. There is also a master map which is larger. More battles where fought here. Maybe someone feels the urge to make one or two.

    I Know, I know
How in the world could I have the game this long and I just finally sat down and played this scenario vs the AI
Well in my world, that is just how it is, I cannot sit around and play these games like it is a job or truthfully would I want to, I would get bored of them if I did that.
Anyway, over the Holidays I have sat down and played a half dozen or so Scenarios I had not done yet and this is my latest one.

I just want to compliment the work that went into this one. Excellent design and effort and it shows.

    Map - excellent
    situation - excellent
    units selected - excellent
    programming the AI - excellent
    Scoring the scenario- excellent
So in other words, A perfect score if I was posting it somewhere.

I felt this battle gave me a excellent feel for some of the challenges faced by commanders that I have read many times from different stories from this war.
I played as the German's and found myself being very cautious as to keeping my armor on the roads because  of ground conditions.
Scouting the flanks had just enough importance to make it a need but not a want to have to do.
pushing the attack was not a easy task because of the restrictions and the Ai was programmed well to throw a few surprises into the battle.
Time of battle and scoring was well done, I won the battle, but for the heck of it I went back in and stopped the battle just short of the last objective I captured and found I would have lost with that result. So it was a close result, which I love. (Normally at my skill level. Playing the AI is not a challenge ) So love it when its not a cake walk.

I think my favorite moment happened when I had a panther sent to support my flank scouting efforts and it was attacked by some forces along the main objective.
As the panther started to engage a Sherman at very long range and to not have success.  I had that moment of , oh my. I might be in trouble, is that a Jumbo or something. Sure enough later on. I found that to be true. I lost that panther in the duel and when I did finally clear the enemy out and had clear information on each unit. That jumbo had about 10 hits on it and had fought a valiant battle. (just a great moment to get that feel of what a jumbo might have felt like as to a unwanted challenge having to face against on the battlefield.

Ah, Gates of Warsaw Redux gets a workover. Hope you had fun tweaking it. I had fun making it.
I see you are in the business of reworking existing scenarios.
Have you tried making a scenario from scratch yet?

Just finished uploading all my stuff. I even uploaded some oldies I made for Market Garden, my first adventures in scenario making
It all went smooth. Jolly good show.

Change the pictures all you want, as long as it looks cool

Except for CMRT Gates of Warsaw Redux, all these scenarios are in the BFC repository.

CMRT Gates of Warsaw Redux is new. You are the first to offer it for downloading, it is not up in the BFC repository.

Not necessarily formatting, just some more space to type a decent description and the possibility to put in some carriage returns. Nothing fancy.

    Ow, nice picture :-)

I will upload some more stuff tonight. First up: CMRT Gates of Warsaw Redux

Edit: oh my, you are fast dude  better with the text box. CMRT GoW Redux uploaded.

Now for something completly different. lol Ok im looking to build a scenario with an airfield, see below:

I think the hangar doors should be bigger as it would be a bit tight to get a Focke Wolfe 190 in there.

Also ive made the runway from the gravel texture, has anyone else made a runway and what texture did you use?

    Cheers guys

Okay Shane. I just uploaded CMRT Fester Platz Polozk. Nice clean interface, well done. One thing could use some improvement though IMHO: scenario/map description. Please make this a textbox so you can add a decent description. But that is about the only thing I can think of right now.

I will add the others this week too, including CMRT GoW Redux. So keep an eye open for them

    Hello Gentlemen

I bring you exciting news of the new Scenario Depot III which has been funded by The Few Good Men.  As we all know The Scenario Depot II was the go to place for Scenario downloads with its most successful period being from the mid-90's to the early 00's for the CMX1 series of games.  Unfortunately it was never updated to encompass the CMX2 series of games but all that is about to change.  I introduce to you The Scenario Depot III.

The new site is a community wide project and despite being hosted on The Few Good Men servers membership of The FGM is not required.  We have reached a stage where the site is pretty much finished and all that remains to be tested now is its load bearing capabilities.

The Scenario Depot III is the place to upload your completed play tested scenarios for the enjoyment of the CMx2 community and I'm asking if you scenario designers out there would do me the honour of starting to upload your scenarios to the database as a stress test exercise.  If all goes well The Scenario Depot III will be up and running henceforth.

    The site is available HERE

Please read 'The About The Scenario Depot III' section and then go to 'Upload A File' to go through the simple process of getting your scenario into our database awaiting front page post upload.

I would like to thank Gary Krockover the original designer of The Scenario Depot II and The Proving Grounds for his permission to launch the next era of the sites catering for the new games released by Battlefront in the CMX2 series.

The site covers all CMX2 games [Afghanistan, Shock Force, Battles for Normandy, Fortress Italy, Red Thunder , Black Sea] and has areas waiting to be opened for the Bulge games forthcoming release.

As well as scenarios and campaigns the site also offers the capability of uploading user designed maps for players to download.

At present we have just the one map uploaded so please pop over and start adding your content and if you wish to donate towards the endeavour there is a link at the bottom of the right hand column for you generous folk out there.  Donations will go towards the programmes required to get The Proving Grounds up and running which is phase 2 of the project.  I look forward to seeing your work being submitted.

    Thanks for reading.

AlexUK! Yeah, you were one of the playtesters for the Gates of Warsaw Redux version

I was thinking of releasing it when the new CMRT module is out. But that may be a while since BFC decided that Bulge was first in line. It has been sitting on my hard drive since.
Been so busy with Bulge stuff, that all CMRT stuff was temporarily shelved. Had more scenarios in the works for CMRT. But can do only so much.

I will upload all my already published CMRT scenarios to the Depot and throw in Gates of Warsaw redux too as soon as I have some time to spare. I have just spent hours tweaking an AI plan for a Bulge scenario and could use a break
I will try to do it some time this week.

Ow, and hi Boo. Nice to see they let you out of the Cesspool for a while! Hope you washed before you posted here.

Good looking website! Do you want scenarios that are not yet on the BFC repository (ie completely new ones)? I could upload the existing stuff I made for CMRT (CMRT Firebrigade von Saucken, CMRT Fester Platz Polozk, etc. ) I may also have something residing on my harddrive that is as of yet unreleased, yet already playtested (CMRT Gates of Warsaw Redux) that may be eligible for uploading and branded as semi new. A bit pressed for time right now, because I am knee deep in making bulge stuff

    But again, looking good.

PanzerMike reacted to Juju in [RELEASED] Juju's dropzone mod
A flavor mod, requested and brilliantly thought up by Kohlenklau. It's specifically intended for scenario designers who wish to simulate parachute drop zones on their maps. Comes in two flavors: early war white and late war olive drab.
This mod is tagged and as is it's only usable for the Market garden module. It can basically be used in any CMx2 game by fiddling with the tag system, though.
Available at GaJ's right now, and shortly at the repository.

NOTE: This is not a mod in the traditional sense. It is specifically intended for scenario designers who wish to simulate drop zones on their maps. They will release it themselves as a custom companion mod along with their scenario.
There is no point in downloading and installing this mod if you are not a scenario designer.

Forget it. Judging by what i have read from you in other threads, i think that your intent is most likely to look up the hardware i bought and then tell me that i either bought it for a bad price or that it' s not good or whatever. And even if you wouldnt find anything, you would probably just make something up. I wont support you trying to piss me off.

And even if the next thing you tell me is that i misjudge you, that' s your problem, i neither trust you nor do i like you, bad luck.

I have a small 1 man business where i offer diverse IT services for my customers, and occasionally i build custom machines to the specifications of my customers. Like 4 months ago, i built a PC for a customer with a very large wallet: the budget was 3500€ (~4000$) and i built him a true 1337 machine, using only the best components available on the market. He was so happy with his new PC that he gave me his "old one" as a gift. When he brought me his "old" PC, i only took a quick look inside and i saw some dust, 4 physically small RAM chips, a tiny CPU fan and a graphics card of which i couldnt determine the model because it had its panel ripped off. I thought what i got was the usual used PC: 7 years old, Win XP, 4 x 1GB DDR RAM, Intel Pentium 2, and a GeForce 7000 series graphics card or something like that.

Today i was looking through my stockpile of used PCs because i needed some spare parts, and i took a closer look at the PC i got as a gift 4 months ago. It turned out it' s much better than i thought: 4 x 4 = 16 GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM chips, a 3,5 GHz I-7 2700K with 4 physical cores and 4 virtual cores (8 cores in total), a 750 watt PSU and a GeForce GTX 580. That' s some really good stuff actually. Togather with the mainboard and the tower that' s gaming grade hardware probably worth about 1300€  (1500$) . I would have never bought such expensive components for myself, but i think i will probably add an SSD + a new CPU cooler to the package and use it as my new gaming PC . I am really happy right now, my business isnt going particularily well and i hadnt planned on getting a new PC anytime soon .
