  1. What a gem! I enjoyed it a lot, while the campaign is marvelously built, each individual missions is great in itself. The background really add more than a flavour, it remind me the book in which the reader is the hero. Definitely my most enjoyable solo experience on CM2 GE! Thank you very much Field Marshal Blücher for such a load of gaming pleasure and thank you BF for CMBN!
  2. Jason, not everybody is like Tero or John Kettler, which clearly do not like to read your thoughts. For the other kind of people, please ignore them and continue to share your very instructive thoughts here. I learnt more in 1 month by reading you than during years of reading self declared experts on various sites. So, once again, please ignore the fools and continue to share your wisdom with whom who ask for it, who need it.
  3. Again my directory isn't a list of all scen available but more a list of scens available on the sources quoted, being duplicate or not. It's goal is simply to allow one to know where to get from a scenario he/she's looking for. Such a list as you done, listing the scen with many details is demanding far too much manual inputs to fit my usual way of working, using as much automated tools as possible (hey, i'm lazy ). here is what i made some day ago about the CMAK's compilation by Philippe: http://amb3940.be/cm/SORTED_SCENARIOS_PHILIPPE.html On that compilation, i ran Duplicate Cleaner, it scanned the 1045 files and found 74 duplicate (77 files), that still make 968 scens which is still pretty impressive. best regards
  4. I just took a look at work DAF and waw! We definitely aren't playing on the same field! Mine is simply a listing of files with sources, your is detailing every scen and even give a short description... for each scen, it's very impressive! I was working on the CMBB directory listing scens from websites, compilations by Philippe and the Scenario Depot Salavage but now I'm shy to share something so frugal.
  5. Excellent work Der Alte Fritz, I'll take a look for sure Th only duplicate that I would remove are theses in the Philippe's compilation since they are, from my point of view, the only duplicate since the other are simply available too from another source. best regards
  6. Hello Panama Red, (what a smoky name) here it is: (59 Kb) http://amb3940.be/cm/CMAK_scens_directory.zip You'll notice that there are many duplicate but, well, it's better to have a bit too much than not enough. best regards, Jan
  7. Here is the list of CMAK's scenarios found on the site below and in the Philippe's compilation: http://the-proving-grounds.com/ http://www.bootsandtracks.com/ http://www.kretsen.nu/bytebattler/ http://www.TheBlitz.org/ http://www.the-scenario-depot.com/ http://www.cmmods.com/ (273 Kb) http://amb3940.be/cm/CMAK_Scenarios_Directory.pdf If one need, I also have it in xls format and the CMBB directory is in gestation. take care and have fun
  8. Colonel J Lee, you mean that you downloaded all the CMETO related mods automatically or you did it manually? In other words, is it any way to download all files on CMMODS.com in one click? cheers
  9. Soundsto be a very nice tool Stick, is it still available?
  10. Apart for targeting or/and for a Combat bonus, it seems it's best to keep support and HQ isolated from HQ without Command bonus, right. I dod not mentioned it but neither the rank (being Section, Platoon, Cy, Bn HQ) nor the experience level of the HQ do change the delays. For example, a green HMG team won't react faster even if commanded by an elite Company HQ. On the other hand, an Elite sniper won't react slower if commanded by a conscript HQ.
  11. Hello Diesel, don't know about CMBB, didn't tested it yet but will do soon.
  12. hello all, here are some figures I collected this afternoon about Command Delay in CMAK version 1.03. Please note that, like the Russians in CMBB, US troops are suffering an experience penalty until March'43 which make them react as if they were one experience level below their actual. NoHQ is a unit isolated, out of contact. HQ suffix is an unit in contact with an HQ unit. HQ+1 is the +1 Command bonus. HQ+2 is the +2 Command bonus HQ at the bottom of the list are the figures for the HQ units. (20.4 Kb) http://amb3940.be/cm/Command_Delays_CMAK_103.gif take care and have fun
  13. Thank you John Kettler, this is very interesting material. By the way, i'm wondering something and you may be the kind of guy that would have the answer. As far as i know, in the WW2 era, every nations had different penetration criteria, one can easily figure why comparing side by side penetration figures of the era isn't reliable. So i'm wondering if, after the war, there have been tests done on WW2 era armor with a common penetration criteria?

  16. You are right Leprechaum, these are very instructive and fun. I've actually reached the 400 series and truly seen The Light in the 100 series
  17. Excellent work Derfel, very welcomed by the newcomer i am By the way, in the Introduction DQDAFVG.pdf you said "American file is still under compilation and will be available soon". Did you had the time to compile the American file yet? PS: New url is http://www.kretsen.nu/bytebattler/
  18. Thanks to Heinzi: http://www.panzer.shamino.net/tutorial/tut2.htm
  19. Found on Heinzi's website: http://www.panzer.shamino.net/tutorial/tut1.htm
  20. Another very instructive thread Jason, thank you very much. Here again, would anyone still have the pictures stored somewhere or, alternatively, Jason, do you have committed an article or a thread that would include the above concepts since 2004? Regards
  21. Excellent post Jason, very instructive, as always. By the way, would anyone still have the pictures stored somewhere?
  22. Well, i started to collect the timing but i would need some indications. It seems that once a FO already have ordered a fire plan, when he call for another one on a different target (outside of the adjust radius), the shells come faster (not as fast than if ordered the very first turn by the way). Am i doing anything wrong?
  23. Houch, i didn't knew that he have been banned, certainly because i'm new here. With his permission, i compiled the informative threads he posted on the Wargaming Club forum, and i posted it here because i thought that it could help some players, i never intended to offend anyone or arouse any trouble. By the way, if you are moderator, you see my IP and so can see that i'm not a PoorOldSpike's alias. Any more question Sir? Edit: do i have to delete my post?
  24. PoorOldSpike is someone famous in the CM community. His great knowledge of the game mechanics, earned by testing CM in depth since long time, is pretty well known but what make him truly famous is his ability to share all that in a way which allow everyone, from the freshest newcomer to the oldest grognard, to understand and remember the information. Now, one can also download the most instructive PoorOldSpike's threads in a convenient format, namely the .pdf, and so be able to easily read them offline.
