  1. Hey Chilibird, how's it going? Yeah, some of us still play on Sundays in the afternoon (3 PM EST) and Wednesday nights (7:30 PM EST). It would be great if you joined us sometime and we could team up as Team Rbentus again for old time sake. Anyway, with summer coming I'm sure the attendance at the games will become sporadic, as people go on holidays or get busy doing things outside.
  2. It was actually 10-1, but who is counting?
  3. Just a little reminder that some of us usually play each Wednesday at about 7:30 pm EST. The more the merrier folks.
  4. Canada, at the time the defending champion, was leading 4-2 going into the final period and managed to lose in overtime; so yeah, I was in no mood to do anything but drink after that.
  5. So, it would appear Canada will be taking on the Russians in the World Ice Hockey Championship finals today at 1:00 pm EST. Being a bit of a hockey fanatic, like any true Canadian, I will be glued to the television until the hockey game is over. So if I'm late this afternoon, just hold your horses and I'll be along eventually.
  6. Yeah, you heard me correctly jby. Thanks for the congrats guys.
  7. WWII of some type apparently is the way it's heading. [ May 13, 2008, 06:42 PM: Message edited by: Junglist ]
  8. Wicked news about the future of Dropteam! Thanks for annoying Clay enough to respond 152. Maybe there will be gaming life after my firstborn after all.....still a few months at least.
  9. Using a lower end Mac myself (G4 PPC - not past this summer I hope), I've found running TS in the background lowered the frame rate of WWII online. I would be more then willing to try it with DropTeam, as I have a feeling most of our issuse are server related rather than hardware issues.
  10. Well that was annoying today - I got dropped from the server at least 6 times today, as well as a complete server crash twice. Things need to stabilize a bit or else this isn't much fun. We had a few good moments today, but lots of frustration as well. Better luck next week perhaps. [ May 12, 2008, 03:18 AM: Message edited by: Junglist ]
  11. Unless I'm mistaken, Bloody Iwo was a player generated map.
  12. I'm actually leaning towards 3000+AD for the time period of the DT universe. It would have to be pretty distanced from today to help explain the absence of Earth references beyond the use of mythological deities as vehicle names. The reverse in technology is reminiscent of the Dark Ages compared to the Roman Empire - did you know that the Roman had steam engines? However in the Dark Ages there were constant references to Rome, but in the DT world we hear very little of Earth, causing me to think that it must have been a pretty long dark age out in the Rim worlds. 13. Hi tb87670, nice to have you aboard. Just in case you haven't figured it out yet, the main time we meet for multi-player battles is Sunday at 3 pm EST time - which I believe is 2 pm for you. Hope to see you there.
  14. I've had a bad cold for the last few days and I don't know if I'm going to be playing DT tonight or sleeping on the couch with the hockey game on in the background. If I'm feeling better I'll try to make it, otherwise I'm going to have to say fight ya on Sunday. I will definitely be around next Wednesday, though.
  15. Just for the record, Clavain's Watch is just about impossible to attack.
  16. Long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away.
  17. I just took a spin on your server jby and everything was smooth for me. I look forward to messing around with some of the mods again.
  18. Hey guys! I'm afraid the attack of the in-laws will delay, if not altogether prevent, my joining the battles today.
  19. Don't forget Stonewall.
  20. I agree with you on the infantry only match, it was interesting but also frustrating in ways; too much micromanaging involved in the bots - if we had the luxury of lots of players it might work better. I thought the Dead Gulch game was classic example of how much fun Drop Team can be. We've played that map loads of times and yet again the battle evolved unlike any we've played yet (that I can remember) and yet again it was decided in the final minutes.
  21. I've got to make dinner still so I might be a bit later than 7:30; maybe 7:45 or thereabouts.
  22. Well that was great fun today. I got dropped by the server right near the end of the last ctf game, but it was time for me to go anyway. Good teams today with Phonan, Kim2 (good to see you out Kim) and myself VS Stonewall, jby, and 152mm. Until next time guys...I've got to go see the end of the men's world championship curling...something Nexus could appreciate.
  23. Well I guess it's obvious I'm still playing.
