  1. Oi.....Don't forget Mosul! Once I have overlays to work with, I'm going the whole nine-yards.....Starting in the west! (I must be mad). Still hoping one of them will be Iraq's CTS. PS - Don't forget the CM:SF map of the fictional Libyan city of 'Bishr'.....It'll need re-jigging for CM:SF2, but it's another awesome MOUT environment. I'm not sure if it is currently available, so I've stuck a copy in my Dropbox for those who might be interested, here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ceixmt2prlir4q2/Bishr.btt?dl=0
  2. That one is a fairly major modification of @George MC's original IIRC.....You can find the V1 update of the original in my Dropbox, here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5x6vz7t8st4lahk/Rolling%20Thunder_v1.btt?dl=0 Very much agree.....CM:A is different again (the Uncons are often better fighters than the regulars they face), all of the CM games have their individual merits.
  3. @Splinty Post a thread dude, would love to see what you are up to.
  4. I think it's '29 Let's Go!' one of the stock Lardy Campaigns: https://toofatlardies.co.uk/product/29-lets-go-pint-sized-campaign/ My favourite is 'Kampfgruppe Von Luck' (I like the oddball German vehicles & insane deployment): https://toofatlardies.co.uk/product/kampfgruppe-von-luck/ I did start trying to convert it to CM, but the mapping was beyond me back then (still not 100% on overlays now TBH), maybe one day.
  5. Yup, my support for that game is about 186 times stronger as of today. I wonder if @Battlefront.com could code in tactical nukes, so we can properly **** the place up!
  6. Loads, search here or on YouTube.....But nothing beats playing the game and learning the hard way.
  7. Fair comment.....Thread took a bit of a swing after the battle of Ghazni, but we don't seem to have a thread for the Afghan war and it's a very viable setting for CM:SF2 scenarios, especially if we can persuade Steve & Co. to give us some CM:BS type toys (Predator/Reaper) a little way down the road. For lack of anywhere else to post it, SWJ have some information on the content of US/Taliban discussions: http://smallwarsjournal.com/blog/afghanistan-peace-talks-stick-us-bases-united-states-wants-2-taliban-none
  8. Looks like someone is testing their pet bots. TBH - It's a game I'd like to see announced.....K2 vs Type 99A2.....Fight! PS - The bots are closing in on 600 posts each about now, hope there's a 'Delete all posts by user' tab, because that's over 4000 posts that someone's going to have to delete one way or the other!
  9. Somebody call 'The Roach'! Just remembered I did download the CM:A Demo IIRC.....I wanted to try a modern CM title out, had it a day or so, bought the full game & all of CM:SF too.
  10. Sounds like you have been well & truly bitten by the CM bug, might as well just buy both of 'em now.....You'll buy 'em all eventually, one way or the other, just like the rest of us did.
  11. WTF are you on about now? Seriously, your comments don't make any sense.
  12. LWJ on Al Qaeda: https://www.longwarjournal.org/archives/2018/09/al-qaeda-is-very-much-alive-and-widely-misunderstood.php
  13. Turret armour on the BVM looks better than the T-72B3, to me at least.
  14. Wanna guess how many game demos I've downloaded in the last two decades?
  15. Dude whether you like (or indeed voted for) him or not, he is the president of the USA.....That's not bias and prejudice, it's a fact. Or are you no longer a US citizen?
  16. I meant in the game.....I don't hear anyone complaining that the M1A2 SEP TUSK or the universal presence of NVG amongst Blue units is unfair on the Uncons (or the SAA for that matter). If you can't take the heat.....Play CM:WWII (at least until we get finally some partisans to blow your shiny tanks to bits). Scenario designers can (& do) take steps to mitigate the inability to detect IEDs, you saw what @MOS:96B2P did in TOC (with mines admittedly), I did similar in Mosul (but with less clues, because ISIS aren't very nice like that), we & others will no doubt do the same in CM:SF2. BTW - Do any of the testers know If the Electronic Warfare setting is available in CM:SF2 and whether it will effect Radio/Cell IEDs? PS - I'm still not convinced that you can't set off at least some of the larger IEDs with HE fire, on a number of occasions while testing The Hornets' Nest I had M1s shoot abandoned Taxis with HE, some of those Taxis contained Large or Huge IEDs (I forget exactly which now), and they certainly appeared to go off! PPS - CM:SF2 will have IEDs and real bridges.....If you dislike them now you are gonna hate them soon!
  17. Both tanks have ERA but the one in the second picture (and background of first) has a dust flap, the T-80 designers appear to have been hideously paranoid about dust ingestion by the turbine (hence all the flaps & screens, plus the huge intake filters on the turret).
  18. This, exactly.....The next (& only) thing I want to hear from @Battlefront.com on the subject of CM:SF2 is the 'Heads-Up' for forum members announcing the title is live. Don't want or need updates (I have CM:SF so I know what I'm getting), couldn't care less about demo versions, they just irritate me because I want the whole game, nothing less. PS - If you're bored.....Open the editor.
  19. IEDs are not meant to be nice, or civilised, or fair.....That's the whole bloody point.
