  1. I realize this has probably been asked before, but when CM:BN is released for Mac, will the version of OSX that a user is running be a factor? Specifically, will it matter if one is using Snow Leopard or the upcoming Lion? I realize this may be a silly question, but I have recently started using Mac OSX on a Macbook and really like it. I was planning to replace my old Windows XP desktop with an iMac, the only issue is whether to buy Snow Leopard now or wait for Lion. As a longtime CM fan, thuis is THE ONE game that I for sure want to work well on any new machine I get. Thanks for any info, and I will not ask WHEN it will be available for Mac...
  2. Thanks to everyone for all the replies, they are very helpful. It sounds like the bottom line is CM:BN will likely be released for OSX relatively soon, and in the event it is not, it should run on any reasonably equipped Mac using Bootcamp with Windows XP service pack 2 or higher. So I think I will go ahead and get my iMac.....
  3. I am hoping someone here can give me some useful advice. I am a big fan of the CM1 series, and am very excited to read about CM:BN. I have always been a PC user, but my several year old windowx xp desktop is getting ready to be replaced. I recently got a macbook pro and really like my first entry into the mac world. I am thinking of replacing the old desktop with an iMac. I read there may be a mac version of CM:BN coming, but was wondering how likely CM:BN would be to run if I went ahead and got the imac and installed windows XP serevice pack 3 via bootcamp. I have never used bootcamp before, so I realize this question may be a very silly one....... Also, does CM:Afghanistan and /or the old CM:1 games run in the windows xp/bootcamp environment? Anyway, is my plan a good one? Thanks for any help!
  4. Thanks for the help. I am thinking about getting a system with a GeForce GTX 260 graphics card (a pretty basic dell/Alienware unit). I realize the Cmx1 games are old, but it would be great to still play them. My current XP system uses a Radeon 9800 card, and to be honest I have never had any issue with any game; they all have worked right out of the box, so I really have never had to try to play with then card's settings before. I thought about just keeping it to use older games on, but who has room for 2 desktops. Thanks for all the info.
  5. Exactly what did you do to get it to work? What is "forcing anti-aliasing" and how do you do it? Sorry if the question sounds simple, but I have never has any problems with running CMx1 games, but I am getting a windows 7 machine soon and I want to make sure I know what I need to do to get it to work. Thanks.
  6. I too am considering a macbook pro.....if one does the boot camp option, loads xp, does the cm seies work well with xp and the 8600 series cards? Also, does the regular macbook ie. the non-pro one with no graphics card run cm decently? Just wondering.......I really want to continue to play cm. It is still the best game of it's genre out there despite its age........ Thanks for any info anyone may have.
  7. Just wondering, where can I download the "Message from Goetz" scenario? Thanks!
  8. I really enjoy all the CM games, and would really like to try some of the mods (specifically vehicle graphics) that are out there. I have downloades CMMOS but am totally intimidated by it........is there anybody who could fill me in on the easiest way to learn it? I guess I am afraid of somehow screwing up the main game. Thanks for any help!
  9. I realize this is basic to most, but as a new CMAK player i was wondering if anyone could point out a few good sites for scenarios, and more importantly EXACTLY how to install them in a step-by-step, idiot proof method. Thanks for any help!
