R- While I did not expect any decrease in strength considering their Naval and Air Defense, the manual says that each attack should reduce entrenchment. I should note that entrenchment works in Fall Weiss, just not in D-Day.

I started playing the D-Day Scenario a couple of days ago as the Allies at Expert Difficulty with 1.04. It appears that naval and air bombardment have no effect on Axis entrenchment. What am I missing? Thanks, Sean

I have been playing the game for about 70 hours, and have read most of the available guides. Nowhere have I found a description of the random factor for determining losses in combat. Seems to me that knowing the probability distribution is critical to planning a successful assault. Does anyone know how luck figures into the combat losses formulas at the bottom of page 19?
