  1. if you can't play it most likely is your sys config. I'm not going to post the long list of what the problems can be and most likely are on the users side people should already know that by now and it is common sense.It has some probs with amd processors but is still playable for me and I have been able to work around it somewhat.

  3. np hoping for a map editor and some extract/repack tool/s. Will be purchasing this game in the next day or 2.My even start a modding site for it like I have for Pacific Storm & PS:Allies depending on how many modders are into it and how much support we get from the developers etc as far as tools go.. All right play as the russians...same dusk conditions but now has rain and a bit more fog. all files go into your \Battlefront\Theatre of War Demo\Missions\SINGLE_MISSIONS\G015_Seelow folder and over write originals after of course backing them up. description: allows you to play as the russians. Also fixes backwards russian flag on all 3 of the maps. Changed German flag, modified maps a bit. Player can use russian artillery. other: couldn't get rid of the german start position zone control from player so just click start battle. Also they enemy doesn't put units there properly due to that but it still is fun and a bit of a challenge.Anyone who knows how to fix that so the germans can use the deployment zone instead of the player please post or feel free to modify the mission.   9. it seems funny to me how things that were "not included because they were too hard to put in" magically end up in a add on for 40 to 50 bucks it is possible but to code the models and animations etc is the problem especially if you have to add the models from scratch. Then they have to be added to the item lists etc etc etc. Kind of a pain in the butt to do unfortunately. Be much easier if they had even 1 because you could then simply clone it for all sides so really the too hard excuse is lame because they also could have even made 1 mortar team and cloned it with some uniform color changes even. I would have been happy with even that.Again it simply comes down to shortcutting in the game development. having mortars in coh doesn't effect the difficulty of the sp missions whatsoever.   10. I think it gives a breath of new life to the series. I hate turn based games and the fact that this is real time will make me and a lot of others who didn't like the turn style of the series now be able to get into it and enjoy it.Plus it simply looks great and will have the great base of the turn based series. I can't wait for this to be released personally, I am looking forward to playing it with great anticipation.I hope they release the demo sooner then a few days before the game is available for sale.

  13. hey np. modding depends on how tight their butt cheeks are concerning releasing mod tools to extract and repack the archives. They should support modding as it will and does extend the longevity and interest in a game.I mean look at dod etc for half life. They should also release a map editor not just a mission editor so peeps can make custom scenarios and custom campaigns.. ok here is how you get rain and snow etc *DroppingType*Rain*/DroppingType* ( had to replace < and > with * ) change none to either rain or snow. haven't tried snow but I am asusming it should work. I have it able for the player to be russian just trying to get rid of the association of the setup zone from the player and let the germans use it. Kind of a pain in the butt but working on it. You can still play but then the germans don't distribute their equipment into the setup zone. This mission will have rain and hopefully more fog.   14. np. Try changing the <StormWeather>4</StormWeather> number around. I changed it from 3 to 4 but you could try higher or lower numbers.Other then that I don't know unless other weather conditions are disabled in the demo. I should have noted that you can purchase men AND atg's in the mission setup which gives you 5 atg guns in the mission from the default 3.You also get 2 panther reinforcements.   15. accuracy of enemy artillery seems to be pretty good even when they can't see you.
  16. I have seen on tv for panthers it could take hours to replace tracks or damaged gear due to the complexity of the suspension systems etc and the setup. One of the designs downfalls.
  17. Hope so kind of weird not having them in game only to call in mortar fire.
  18. well what I found from search was yep no field mortars they are off map but no reason why also no reason why wespe etc can't fire in a upward arc that i can see they fire like tanks. They are tracked artillery but when I click attack here they shoot straight like a tank and can't fire over objects like artillery is suppose to. I like the game but holy shortcutting bat man ! Most likely the reason for no field mortar teams...they'd have to program them to be able to fire in a arc :eek:
  19. Man heat rounds at close range are brutal...the more I play this game the more fun it is
  20. I checked the unit list and didn't see any mortar crews for some strange reason . Am I just blind or is there actually no mortar teams in the game ?
  21. yes me too. I had 3 atg's hidden behind a hill and rather then the tanks remaining going dumbly over the bridge they circled around. If you take the game for what it is then you will have fun simple as that. [ April 22, 2007, 06:59 PM: Message edited by: KiloAlpha4 ]
