  1. Wow! If this is correct it is a pretty good measurement of what corruption does to your armed forces.
  2. Steering could be damaged and jammed in turning in one direction only. Hence the circle movement only.
  3. Sadly in this post-truth world of ours it seems inevitable
  4. In your assessment, how prolific is the Ukranian use of AT-mines and IEDs? Is it a vital part of controlling advances and covoys?
  5. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for standing up to effing s**thead Putin, but the sad fact is that we have to factoring in the reality of the worst before deciding what to do. Personally, my fear turns to white hot anger in a somewhat productive way. If I didn’t worry, then I would start to worry if you get what I mean. So, when the war is over and we are all hopefully still here, I intend on turning that anger into a strong opposition to nuclear weapons. They are barbaric. It is insane that some countries can have them and thereby weild enourmous power over other countries. And they can have thousands of them. Can Sweden have one? Noooooo! So, my conclusion is that no one should have any. Is that realistic. No. Does that mean I will accept it. No. Anger/fear in this case turns to reaction/action which is productive for me. Accepting that people toy with the world for power’s sake (see lyrics for Dylan’s Masters of War). Am I a pacifist? No, but darn close to.
  6. I really don’t get that casual attitude to total annihilation?!
  7. Aha, the first version of his post included two identical pics that fooled me.
  8. I saw reports yesterday of launch of thermobaric rockets. Would those cause this ”gutting” of an entire building without one big crater?
  9. I’m also afraid that this scenario is in play if/when Putin faces total military humiliation. To ”save face” and spread fear into all and one who defies him.
  10. The opposite winds was present when Chernobyl blew its lid. Sweden was one of the first countries sounding the alarm that something bad had happened.
  11. That there must be the very definition of being ”caught out in the open”.
  12. Heck, there are about IIRC 8 Stockholm in the US, so even a capital city can be somewhere else entirely.
  13. Could it be that Javelins are used at longer range attacks and are therefore harder to get a good video of?
  14. Oligarch Oleg Deripaska had a luxury apartment in central London taken over by squatters who intend to turn it into shelter for Ukrainian refugees. I’m certain the police will turn a blind eye to it - more than willingly.
  15. I don’t get how there can be so much abandoned gear sitting around in pristine condition. Isn’t spiking the gun or damaging vital systems a thing in the modern era? It is almost as if the ruskies who abandon them leave them as a parting gift in protest of the war, before they try to blend into the general population
  16. If they resort to looting, stores and supermarkets could become great ambush sites. Let them die for their food.
  17. I found this interesting. Steve, would it be lots of work for Charles to model this type of slat armor on top of existing tanks in CMBS? Would be interesting, not only for the CM community, to see how the Javelin would fare against it using the CM-engine for real life analysis. Is it viable for full protection? Mitigation of damage etc? Also, Steve, after seeing this - what would be your guess as how effective it is against NLAW?
  18. How much would those cages slow down turret traversal? Could impede combat effectiveness perhaps.
  19. Me too. Just the mention of going full nuclear brought back childhood fears, nightmares and the looming threat of total annihilation. I can’t turn those emotions off even as an adult.
  20. I heard a russian speaking translator pronounce the Ruble "rubble". That was kinda appropriate by now.
  21. Thanks, that looks like the the list BBC uses in abbreviated form. Though they put APVs as "Armored Patrol Vehicles" which to me seems to miss APCs and such.
  22. I haven't followed this thread yet and won't read through the 100 pages, so forgive me if this has been asked before: Has Ukraine released any figures for number of captured POWs? That could be a good indicator of the fighting morale, or lack thereof, of the Russian forces.
  23. Some sound enhancment apps, such as Nahemic, can cause all CM games to crash. Delete or inactivate and see if it works.
  24. The base texture should but I'm not 100% about the "mini" texture as they seem to be of various sizes for different ground textures and seemingly vary from game to game. So my advice is just try it.
