  1. For what it's worth, I have 8800 GTS 512 and as I wrote, the display problem went away by installing this upgrade. So the answer is probably yes.
  2. I just wanted to say a big thank you for a very well timed (and almost free) upgrade to Combat Mission 2. I had just started playing CMBB again but I had a display problem while running it on my desktop PC with Windows 7 release candidate (build 7100). The new upgrade SOLVED the video problem where the previous frame was not correctly wiped when a new frame was drawn. By the way: CMBB runs fine on my Samsung NC10 webbook (also called a mini notebook by some). It only has a 1024 x 600 pixel display and Intel Atom 270 but the game is quite playable. No display problems either. This is the kind of support I've come to expect from Battlefront over the years. I'm going to purchase Theatre of War 2 next. (Now if I could only find my Strategic Command: European Theatre CD somewhere. It would probably run fine on the NC10 too.)
  3. No zoom function here either in the TC station. I'm also having a lot of trouble looking out of the tank because I can't use my joystick to turn the view due to the wrong Y-axis direction control. I've been trying to really enjoy this game for a week now the way it is supposed to, to no avail. With arrow keys the view pans way too fast.
  4. No one knows? I tried to turn off speech as a work-around. The speech comes back on after I visit the F11 map screen. Is it just me?
  5. I've got an integrated SoundMAX card and the enviromental sound is turned up to full volume and it only plays on the right. Extremely annoying. I can make it go away by switching to interior views and cycling to the driver's station, but the problem comes back when I switch stations. What gives?
  6. After two days of nagging to Saitek and fighting this game instead of the Croats, I solved the problem myself. I can't believe no-one thought of this: </font> Disable joystick support from T-72 with the configuration tool (Battlefront --> T-72 --> Configuration --> Realism --> Joystick Off --> YES)</font>Open Saitek Profile Editor and assign Y-axis --> Bands</font>Split the band in three 0 - 48%, 49-51% and 52 -100%.</font>Assign Arrow UP button to the lowest band and Arrow DOWN button to the highest band. Leave the 4% middle section as a dead zone.</font>Do the same to X-axis and left/right arrow buttons so you can traverse the turret and steer the tank.</font> [ August 03, 2005, 09:10 AM: Message edited by: Superbus ]
  7. I'm suffering from severe mouse jerkiness in the F11 map screen. I can't select nor click anything in the map view, the mouse movement is so slow. 3D views are ok, though I expected a little better frame rates at 1024x768. AMD Athlon 64 3400 Radeon 9800 Pro 1 GB DDR400 Microsoft Wireless mouse Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Any help with the Y-axis problem would be greatly appreciated. It's killing me: I bought a 170 euro joystick (Saitek X52) and it's useless because its software cannot invert the axis for T-72 and there is no option for it in the game. I cannot understand why the makers didn't foresee it - this game is otherwise PERFECT for a joystick. I already mapped ALL of the functions to my X52... then realized I can't play. +++ EDIT: I solved the problem: http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=50;t=000047 [ August 03, 2005, 09:12 AM: Message edited by: Superbus ]
