  1. I'm at the end of 1942, and still holding the Germans nicely in Russia. But a strange situation has developed. The AI has massed nearly all it's units in the south, leaving the northern Russian front very lightly held! It's strange so I'll try and post a picture for you to see it. homepage Pretty strange huh? I'm having a blast tho so no complaints! [ May 16, 2007, 07:04 PM: Message edited by: AZGungHo ]
  2. Wow - looks like you guys have been BUSY!! So here's the big question: How Much Will This Cost??
  3. I'm playing - when I can! That's what happened to me too. Russia came in early, I moved units to the border and invaded Poland, but knew the jig was about up as France was collapsing. The Germans operated some units east and I withdrew in a big hurry. I had hoped to take Warsaw or some other city, but didn't get any. Units that are dug into cities are tough nuts to crack! I agree that H2H France could never hold out that long as Paris would be the focus and the gap between where the Seine ends and the fortifications begin would be targeted as well! I'll try and keep you posted on the war's progress!
  4. I'm playing a 1939 campaign as the Allies. So far so good! You really can slow down the Germans in France, as I did, holding on till June 1941! Right now as the Russians I'm holding the Germans well, they just took Kiev in the summer of '42. The one thing I've noticed is the incredible power of air units! Four of them killed a full strength corp, dug into Kiev! ONE Italian air unit killed a strength 5 British corps outside of Tobruk! I'm really enjoying this - you've done an incredible job on this mod! Many thanks!
  5. Blashy, Your mod really opens up the naval war that's for sure! I'm playing one now as the Allies. The Germans keep coming up with ships everywhere! Both surface and subs, but more subs. The Royal Navy is hanging in there, but just barely!
  6. Hey Dave, Ah - Kid Colt! I remember him well - not to mention the Two Gun Kid! There sure were a lotta kids running around the old west shooting people weren't there??
  7. Anyone who sues over this game is either insane or greedy or both! Just another sign of how you can't do ANYTHING today without offending someone, who will then attack you rather than just moving on with their lives - since they apparently don't have one! Sheesh!
  8. It just happened in my current game - and I love it! It's historical as hellraiser points out. Allowing Italy to "go their own way" occasionally not only makes the game more historical, but adds that element of uncertainty which is excellent too!
  9. Too late Kuni!! But I'm working on it! Merry Christmas to you too - and to everyone else here in SC Land!
  10. Hey Normal Dude, I'm not sure how fast I can play it through, but I'd love to try, so if you need more playtesters send it to me. My e-mail is in my profile.
  11. I played it too - against the AI which I know it's not designed for. But I had fun anyway! As the Allies I completely routed the French, and by game's end there were only French leaders still alive and running for the edge of the map, another turn or two and I would nailed old Nappy himself! Strange thing - at the end a screen came up that said Allied Victory, and then was replaced by a screen that said, Stalemate.
  12. I just finished playing it - well sort of! I got the message saying the UN had arrived and the war was over, but the game keeps going?? Are there some more turns or is this a glitz in the scenario?
  13. Well you are doing better than those of us in the United States are! Does this mean 1.05 will be here soon?? Whoooo Hooooo!
  14. You are right about the state of the Soviet Army John. Not only did they learn from all their bloody failures against the Germans, they also profited greatly from Lend Lease. Without all the trucks, jeeps, planes, etc. that that the US sent them, they would have never been able to carry out the highly mobile offensives they did in 44-45. So, two sets of units, or perhaps some stiff penalties in research might be in order.
  15. Hey Blashy, I've read that Russia was planning on entering the war in 43 if Russia hadn't attacked them by then. They would have been able to upgrade their forces by then with the T-34 and other things. Who knows?
  16. Kuni, WOW - it looks great - I'll play this one for sure! Hurry dude - can't wait!!
  17. I think many of your ideas are good ones, but the pop up and pictures I don't like. They are the same everytime and get real old real quick. I've played other games that have things like that, and always turn it off if I can.
  18. Yeah on the Para's! Now you can actually afford them! I usually don't buy them but that just may change as soon as I play this new version of your Mod Blashy. I'll miss the Siberians tho.
  19. I agree, that way when carrier's strike the airwings would suffer damage, NOT the ship itself. It would be much more realistic, but how difficult it would be to put into the code I have no idea. Still, I'd like to see it. You could ferry planes that way too - as was done in the war many times.
  20. Perhaps the HQ unit represents the staff, attached units, etc. NOT the person it's named after? So when the entire HQ is destroyed, the General's staff whisked him away to safety?? At this scale what else could it be really? Obviously these units represent more than one person, and even when destroyed it doesn't mean every single person in the unit died! Now, for some additional, and probably unnecessary chrome, how about a small chance when a HQ is destroyed that the general DID die! If it comes up, you get a pop up saying General So & So was killed, and he's removed from the HQ pool.
  21. I'm surprised at the number of you who so readily accept the whole conspiracy thing. I guess I shouldn't be as more and more people seem to be buying into this as a way to explain almost anything they don't like or want to accept. I don't know any legit historian who has studied the material who buys the conspiracy idea, and I don't either. If you don't have any real proof, all that's left is filling in the blanks with "might have beens" and you can do that all day long and never move one inch closer to the truth.
  22. I just played through an entire game, no locks up or hang ups for me. Looking forward to even more further improvements!
  23. Here's something I'd like to see: When I'm playing the Allies why is it that Russia joins the Allies at a certain point if Germany hasn't attacked them yet? In a game I'm playing now I wished I could have put off that decision to a later date given the state of my forces and the situation. Since I'm supposed to be in charge of almost all the major war decisions, shouldn't this be up to me? Same with USA, but I can't imagine how slowing their entry into the war could benefit the Allies.
  24. Hey Taojah, Wow - you never buy more Armies? How about AF? I'd love to know how you keep them from being killed off - that happens to me all the time, thus I have to buy more units, and with SC2's delay build that means there'd better be some in the pipline or I'm in trouble! Inquiring minds want to know!
