  1. Blame Nvidia for this one. Let me guess, you just recently upgraded your Forceware drivers? Well, in any case, heres the fix for ya: -When you click the File menue in Windows Explorer, the "New" command is missing. To resolve this issue open Registry Editor to verify that the registry key below has the value listed, and if needed, manually edit the value to match what I have listed any you will be good to go. You may have to manually create this key using the "add key" option in Regedit because the entire key will most likely be missing. Don't worry, its simple. Key:[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\New] Value Name:{Default} Data:{D969A300-E7FF-11d0-A93B-00A0C90F2719} Keep in mind, this is for Win98SE and Win98. I'm not sure of the values for 2000 and XP. Be sure to export your registry before doing this in case ya goof up:) or better yet, create a system restore point so in the worst case scenario you can do a scanreg/r to recover. I have isolated this problem to the Forceware drivers Nvidia has been releasing as of late...Although, I'm sure Nvidia would deny this:) Good luck and if ya need more assistance let me know here.
