  1. Turn4 2 air again used against Poland, subs raid. Damn! I just realized that moving the F Battleship increases Italian aggression! New lesson learnt for me, one I will remember for sure. I certainly will _not_ do that when I plan for a long French defense again! Ok, No Denmark, most of German army in Poland. Let’s do LC! Ireland only gets the carriers and the BS this time, since I want a nice river-defence ready next turn. And the move works like it was rehearsed. This time I want France to have the plunder, since I´ll be trying to fight aggressively for France this time. I figure that if I can hurt, divert and blunt the Germans and Italians, the war should be won by the russkis and the US. [ May 09, 2004, 05:37 PM: Message edited by: Arngrim ]
  2. Sub withdaws, preparations for barbarossa.
  3. Exel vs Arngrim, the rematch. Turn 2 17 sept -.39 Axis uses air vs Poland, hence LC gambit possible, but since I was watching the telly at the same time, I’m a bit unsure- don’t even know if the subs raided… NO DoW Denmark… Hmmm. Ah well, I’d better do Ireland straight away, It’ll give me experience and bleed Mpp’s from the german anyhow. Polish air moved to france(mine), since it had 5pts left. A free interception/strike on LC. Med fleet heads for the Atlantic. Entire French fleet sail away, ready to facedown Kriegsmarine this tinme, new tactic, lets see if it pays off…
  4. Got beer., got smokes, slightly buzzed. Keep it up guys, good saturday entertainment for me!
  5. Yugoslavia taken, Italian navy enjoys training on Malta
  6. I've sen several experienced players post that they have seen odds in H vs H games. I wonder were these odds are displayed, since I've never seen them. I only play Pbem if that makes a difference...
  7. The Italian fleet consolidates, stiull training on Malts, but preparations for the middle east and Barbarossa is continuing as planned
  8. March 30 1941 Allies reveal a nasty carrier surprise, Italian Navy withdraws. Malta attacked, but to little effect. Allied coup in yugoslavia. The insolence shall soon be punished!
  9. A RN Battleship is spotted at Gibraltar. The Italian navy angages, but it is not a wellfought battle, and casualties recieved were higher than the ones inflicted. Russians are warmongering now, up to 71%
  10. The brave italian corps in egypt is overwhelmed by the superior forces. But further west Algiers falls to the italian armies.
  11. Actually I messed up in the unit dispositioning. I've straightened that one out now, but it could have delayed the French campaign several turns.... Is the next move coming soon?
  12. Or just forget that you had them the first turn, and then try somthing creative (disastrous).
  13. Finally the opressed people of Italy rise agains Mussolini. War trials are being prepared, so is a rematch. Same rules, but allies may surrender if London, Leningrad and a few others are taken. Don't know if we're doing an AAr this time though. Good game! Thanks Exel, it's been fun, _and_ the entire war was fought on hexagons!
  14. Encircled Italians succumb. The Allied flood is unstoppable. The Italians board transports and hide in the med. wherever they can, We'll hunt them down eventually. Palermo taken, Beirut taken
  15. There _will_ be an AAR on these matches right? In that case I know How I'll spend my Saturday, with a beer in front of the computer. Oh Rambo, I'd love to meet that famous RACK of yours, but you only play TCP/IP right?
  16. Munich taken, Hungaria surrenders. Heavy flood of units is sweeping south. repositioning for italian Shock.
  17. Tirana taken, rumanian city emptied, but yet unocupied. The sweep from north to south begins. numerous german corps and armies destroyed, not much left of G army. Carriers sail with new destinaion: Rome. Date: 30/8 1942. Germany Surrenders. But I guess the Finn (Exel) will play until Rome has fallen. A very stubborn opponent, and with a good defensive strategy.
  18. The Germans obviously don't know that the war is over.standoff in Iraq, Munich taken by a heavy assault by the Germans. No headway in Italy. Tobruk taken, Prague taken, Cologne taken.
  19. Good idea, but in that case there would have to be a safeguard against crashes. SC crashes for me occasionally, ag. AI it is a bummer to have to do the turn again, but versus a human it is noted as a reload. If all moves up until the crash were cached, and the turn would restart where you were that would solve that problem.
  20. Despite heavy air and naval bombardment, Algiers holds. Egypt is quiet. Hitler and Mussolini in Heated discussions about the grand strategy. Rumania Joins. Celebrations in Rome. Italian Admiral decorated. German scientists are working day and night, and report success after success. New fighters sent to the front. [ May 05, 2004, 06:52 PM: Message edited by: Arngrim ]
  21. I'm very inexperienced, but I've never encountered it so far... and I hope not, I mean, what is the point of winning if you're cheating?
  22. Oktober -40 Tjhe valiant Italian Navy and airforce acting in concert with Luftwaffe completely annihilate the Allied taskforce Med. Probing attacks around Egypt inconclusive, reinforcements are in order. plans for seelöwe drawn up. Mussolini protests that the Med. was promised to him. HC meetings about the future of the war...
  23. Italians are stunned over the stubborn Brits. Mussolini promised that this would be esy. The RN's arrival in the Med will delay the Med campaign some time, but The Italian Navy shall prevail! Other than that, som repositioning, and reorganisation... 1 VF Battleship is sent to the bottom of the med. byt the Italians
  24. Horrifying poisoning attempt versus Manstein forces germans to declare war. unfortionately German forces are not positioned correctly, so Algers holds...
