  1. I have released CMBB and CMAK versions of a map i created for a campaign game I play with friends via LAN using a mix of Robo's quick campaign system for tracking unit experiance and some home made rules The maps are up in the scenario depot for download feel free to have alook I welcome feedback on them
  2. Hello there Im currently making a campaign based on one massive 5x4 K map of CM AK/BB I originally read the idea on another board and have built my own version of it. Essentially using the operational system in CM (so you can use a battle window of the map not the whole thing) 2+ players battle out over an island fighting for towns which give you economic points (to spend on new units, repairs n stuff) Its kinda similair to the Operation Flashpoint CTI games (Capture the island) Im developing a kinda strategic side of it involving the movement of formations (ie companys of troops platoons of armour sections of heavy weapons) using 1 big square (not the little squares) in the editor as movement blocks. Im trying to kinda figure out how you decide were to fight and the system for working out who attacks/defends meeting engagements and when to dig in have foritications and all that. Also I want to kind of encourage raiding style tactics of going into the enemy lines and destroying parts of towns in order to reduce the enemies economic points or cripple a port so they can't import units they dont have factories for on the island I was also going to use a modified version of Robo's Quickcampaign rules specifically for tracking the experiance of units Any help or suggestions welcome Ill also put the map up on the scenario depot when its finished (its 80% done for CMAk and thanks to the map convertor 60% done for CMBB (need to add steppes and factorys) For anyone who wants to use it for some kind of massive operation or battle game I know its not historical its purely just to have a campaign with a map that has importance, to fight over towns that mean something to you other than just cover and concealment terrain
  3. This is the most helpful tool ever created for the Combat Mission series Super work (fan boy praise over)
  4. Im having quite alot of fun now with this campaign, Started a Russian company from the outset of barbarossa. Into October 1941 now on my 7th battle. One problem i noticed is for the first few battles i didn't include units which were not participating in the fight when counting how many men were left in the aftermath, This mean't i was using casulties returning and replacements spread around these units not included in the calculations so more most of the summer of barbarossa i was operating with barely 2 platoons of green soldiers which kinda baffled me when i set the spreadsheet to give me extra replacements
  5. Cheer's thats what im after ill search under his name then (was just ploughing through the lot last time)
  6. Was looking around CMMD for a high res background for CMAK like the one's done for CMBB, are any available as i couldn't seem to find any on the CMAK part of the page?
  7. I have to admit ive started using this system recently and at first i found it abit of a hit and miss process till i eventually figured out what i was doing. Much like when i learn't to drive really Been doing a Russian Infantry campaign so far on my 2nd battle, its a good system though i find i have to keep consulting the readme word file all the time, what might be an idea is to have an index of all the inputs you can have on the spreadsheet to save me time looking at them in the rules file(knowing my luck there probably on there already, i await correction on that point)
