  1. Hello! I have two PCs with WinXP SP2 OS connected via a fast ethernet switch. Both machines find each other if searching network area with WinXP. If I connect them (as well in CMBB as in CMAK) a windows appears telling "TCP/IP - loading scenario data". But after that nothing else happens. I switched off both firewalls. Ah, CMBB is patched to v1.3 and CMAK to v1.3 on both machines. Do you have any idea what to do? [ December 18, 2006, 05:58 AM: Message edited by: Zoppex ]
  2. Tried it the way you said but the same error. Any known problems with CMBB and XP SP 2?
  3. That worked! Thanks a lot for giving advice !
  4. Sorry, I forgot to tell - I use the CDV European version.
  5. I have the problem on both my laptop (P4 2,8 GHz, radeon 9600mobility, XP SP2, 512 MB DDR) and on my older pc (AMD 1,8 GHz, Geforce 4 440 MX, 256 MB DDR, XP SP 2 ). When installing CMBB the bmp.exe isn´t executed properly. I have already tried to start it the installation from the harddisk drive after copying all cd-datas to a folder on c: drive. is there anyone who knows how to solve this problem ?
  6. I installed CMAK and the latest patch. But on starting CMAK there usually appears the windows where you can set you video card. I doesn´t work. I only see moving stripes on my screen. I installed the detonator 52.16 after it did not work with nvidias 66.93 driver. Can anyone help me? I use a AMD 1,8 GHz with 256 MB DDR and a Geforce 4 440 MX video card. I have installed XP SP2 and directx 9.0c
  7. It was the second time I tried to play CMBB and CMAK via lan against a friend. Both pcs use winxp home. There is no problem getting connected to the other machine and we changed files and other stuff without any problem. Both had full access to the other computer. But on trying to play via TCP/IP the guest gets the information that scenario files or datas are on the way but nothing else happens. It happened with CMAK and CMBB. Is that a common problem? Any ideas what to change?
  8. I played several battles(CMBB) where the Russian lines were pretty hard fixed with barbed wire and trenches. I moved two pioneer squads close to the barbed wire in order to remove it so that my infantry could advance through this lane. But nothing happened. After the squads had thrown their demo charge the barbed wire was still there und still hard to overcome. Is there any possibility to remove barbed wire with infantry, e.g. pioneer squads?
  9. Good idea. I Did the same for Close Combat - a bridge too far. Did you enlarged the fighting area while converting it because a CC3 map is usually not more than 600x600 metres.
  10. Thanks for your advice. Although I only found the possibility to upload it as a scenario I uploaded it. So don´t be angry with my if I did something wrong.
  11. Please test and post your impression of Lauban v1.01! Operation is available at Scenario Depot or send an Email to: s.pzabt501@gmx.de
  12. Another funny one is Falle, Schnapp- ; für Kleintier, grau means Mausefalle (mouse trap)
  13. It took me nearly a week to design an operation called "Lauban". Lauban was the last offensive victory of the Germans in March 1945. You can get it at http://ns9.super-hosts.com/~dragonlair.net/combatmission/ in one or two days or send me your email adress and I will send it. Any constructive critic and advice is welcome !
  14. Thanks a lot. It´s a good page and exactly what I was looking for.
  15. I am looking for topographic maps of Western Europe and former German territories as Schlesien, Prussia and so on to improve my map design. Where can I find those maps in the net for download or just for watching ?
