  1. What AFV do you think we can use in CMSF to "simulate" ( as possible as it can be simulated) the Israeli Merkava to make a Gaza scenario/campaign?For the Hamas side it seems simple enough as we have a lot of stuff to make their fighters. The Israelis can be given a mix of Bradleys and air assets (from US arsenal) and syrian infantry (from syrian oob). But what tank is the closest to Merkava??? any idea anybody???
  2. The living God is born. Merry Christmas to all!
  3. It drops a bit performance when they start to fight, but it is playable can you believe it???!!! And I don't have a super computer or something:2.66GH dual core,2GB RAM,Geforge 9600gt 512MB.
  4. some of my boys were indeed moving, also some of the vehicles.I didn't wait to have contact with the enemy, but do you think could it be a major drop in performance during the firefight...???
  5. I was just curious to see how the new 1.11 works with huge ,I mean HUGE scenarios. So I made a map 4km/4km with hills, woods and lots of buildings. Then I recruited almost an infantry division and a few tank companies for each side.Guess what?! It runs as smoothly as an angel, the same as if it had only one squad!
  6. Hey,in fact I'm just planning to play a regimental scenario, what's wrong with it?? Anyway, great to know the slideswow was fixed and the blue bar is back. Congratulations Battlefront!
  7. yes indeed,it seems the planes are not returning after the first battle.Thank you all for yr answers.
  8. I don't understand a single Syrian word, but assuming they are saying the same as the US voices (with the corresponding file numbers),I replaced the Syrian voice files with the US ones and this way I taught the whole Syrian army to speak English in 5 minutes! And...oh boy...how fluently are they speaking English now!!!
  9. strange, because the name of my .CAM file is not the same as that of the scenario opened, but is the same as that of the script txt file. Besides, from the game manual I understand that the core units file is only a source of core units for the scenarios, not a scenario itself,so there should be no reason to load it into editor, but rather to pull the units from it for the campaign,by using the "import campaign units" tab in the editor. But I tried to do it like is says in the manual, and the result was that the "core" units transformed into auxiliary units and were not used in the next battles.
  10. Yes,the core units are fine if I play the standalone missions.I don't have a seperate folder, but after the campaign was compiled, the campaign file was ready in the "campaigns" folder .I thought it was all right untill I found out my core troops refused to invade the enemy country and didn't show up in the field! LOL!!!
  11. Unfortunately the core units won't show up no matter what I do.Only the auxiliary troops are to be seen in the first battle. Is anybody here who made a campaign with core units? I have a feeling it must be something wrong with the campaign editor...
  12. page 148 about compiling a campaign; at: " 2. Load the Core Units File". By doing that I would just load the whole core units scenario that has nothing to to with the campaign I want to make and, besides, transform the core units into auxiliary units. Shouldn't it be "import campaign units from the core units file"?
  13. Well,I give up for now...I would have reported it as a bug,but I saw other people made campaigns so it must be a way to do it,just I haven't find it.
  14. I just added some non-core (auxiliary) units and they are just fine in the first scenario.Just I don't know where the core units are !! Maybe they are deserters and I might have to call the Court Martial to punish the whole dam company!!!
  15. I am trying to make my first campaign. 1)made a scenario with the core units. 2)created a new scenario and loaded the core units from the first created scenario. 3)made the campaign by loading the script file.no error message appeared After doing all these I open the campaign and in the first battle...no units !!! I try the same moves once more, the same result! what am I doing wrong and not get any unit in the first scenario??? Thanks!
  16. I am thinking to use CAS in user made operations, but because of the random targetting it would be an equal threat to my forces. So I want to use CAS only in the first battle and set the bulk of my ground forces to arrive in the seccond battle in order to make my planes to hit only enemy targets(coz they are the only ones existing in the first battle).Does anybody have any tip on how to use the air force only in the first battle??? Thanks!
  17. yeah...I guess it shouldn't. I wonder how far away 1.11 really is...???...
  18. I decided to turn back to 108 version for large scenarios,as they are unplayable with v 110. But I found out that scenarios made with 110 version cannot be loaded and edited with v108.I made a huge map that spent me a few days and got an ugly surprise trying to use it with v 108. Is there any way to make it work with v108? Thanks in advance!
  19. I am surprised to find out that there are only 16 orders for ALL 8 groups.I thought there were 16 orders for EACH group per plan. May I ask how did you find out that what excedes 16 orders is not used by the program??? Was there any statement from BF or you found it by testing scenarios?
  20. I tried to create a huge scenario with lots of uncon troops.Butwhen the "activated troops" section is full, the page won't slide to the downside so I cannot select the units under the lower end of the screen. Can you make it slide please??? maybe the next patch???!!! Thanks!
  21. Hello,I got a question about loading maps from CMSF into CM Normandy. Will it be possible? I( mean I understand there won't be any modern buildings, arabic road signs, and other things that are designed exclusively for modern Middle East) but maybe it would be possible to find a way to replace them with european buildings and others,so I don't have to make again the same maps I did for CMSF,and just simple load them into CM Normandy. Thanks in advance!
  22. I would declare myself satisfied with a 30 sq km map...after all we are supposed to have better computers by the time the game is released than back in 2007.
  23. It is an excellent feature I found in other games.i support that !
  24. In my opinion it was a great feature of CMx1.Do you have any plans to implement it(or some version of it)into the new CMx2 british module or maybe the Normandy title??? Thanks!
  25. hmmm... so how do you think I can make a better test...?
