  1. so,if you have a group (that includes a FO) with an "advance" mission, the FO should follow the script and try to advance to the objective. In that case,in order to bombard his target he needs to stop and keep the LOS on the target, but he cannot do it since he is scripted to advance toward the obj.
  2. hmm,so it seems the spotter needs a AI script just for him and allocate a whole group just for him? But in QBs?
  3. But how can the spotter keep LOS on target if he keeps assaulting?Or is he programmed to stop once he gets LOS on an enemy unit?
  4. It may be true sometimes if the AI is on defense, but when attacking, the AI arty doesn't work .The FO advances towards enemy positions as if he is regular infantry, totally forgetting that he has to observe and bombard, not to assault the positions.
  5. theoretically yes,but don't rely on it if you want to make a scenario. I have rarely if at all seen it using the assets during the battle.
  6. I am not enthusiastic about the arty in CMSF.Let aside the preplanned bombardment, the AI most of the time cannot use the artillery.
  7. Well, perhaps it isn't possible to merge all GAMES,but maybe we can expect a module or something to merge all UNITS from previous games?
  8. Did you notice if the editor still has the "import the campaign units" feature like in CMSF? And in QB can you select the autopurchase by force mix like in CM1(ie infantry, mech, armor, etc,)
  9. Steve,I take it you have finished the work on CMBN since you have enough spare time to answer every topic on the forum. If not,get back to work since my money are just burning in my wallet. :-)
  10. Guys, just sell it at whatever the price you consider to be fair. It's only we,the customers, know we all are milk cows but at the same time we don't like to be treated too obvious like milk cows. And you did good job about it so far.
  11. Or you could make a "shorter' strap.I think this way the lack of animation wont hurt that much since a shorter strap is by itself more rigid than a long one.Just a thought...
  12. I see all soldiers wearing the Iron Cross 2nd class ribbon.Does every soldier in the game have a medal,or is this ribbon shown only for veterans?
  13. That's why I think is important that the maps, once created, should be compatible to the future releases, for ex being able to use CMBN maps with CM Bulge. It would be a pity for such hard worked maps to be lost when a new game arrived.
  14. But Can we "give" by modding the BMPs a different color to the uniform of the Füsiliers than that of the Grenadiers? Yes...yes...not historical I know, but is it possible?
  15. But in CMSF we have uncons with their vehicles,we have 6 types of uniforms(1*US,2*Syrians,2*Uncon+1civilian spy) against only 2 uniforms in CMBN. Three times less in CMBN;That would make me wonder if will be less than $45
  16. does anybody know where a "winter" terrain mod can be found? Thanks in advance!
  17. So you're talking about sections. How many men does it have? Is a section similar to a squad?
  18. oh,these screens (especially) drove me nuts...I was waiting for the website and forum hoping that they would cool down my impatience, but since I saw them,it increased to explosive levels. Edit:how many seats does this kubel have?
  19. I took this quote from a DAR thread but I didn't want to overpopulate it with non DAR posts so I started another thread. can you tell us how is the AI using the spotters/HQs to call the on map artillery? Can they call the on map arty the same way they call the off map? In CM1 the AI's on map guns stay in the same place all day long,no matter if the AI is attacking or defending. Now,in CMBN is the attacking AI pushing forward its guns? Thanks in advance!
  20. Steiner,Ok ,the lone JgPz may fight an unbalanced battle, but are you sure he would have done better to bring the other vehicle along? What about the other flank? Enemy units were spotted in front of the left flank as well and maybe he wasn't sure he could switch the armor fast enough in case of an attack on his left( which as I can see is suitable for armor attack). Overall I agree with you:concentrate all armor on the right, recoil the Americans, and after that move back as fast as you can in order to be ready in case the main attack is on the left. But we have to follow Jon's strategy to understand his approach.
  21. Jon,so,you say there is no room for the other JgPz next to this one?It seems enough room for me... Was your idea to delay the attack and make the Americans pay heavy for the advance, or to stop it in its tracks before taking the hill?
  22. a couple of minutes, but we are in the field for one whole night contemplating that piece of nature...and brrr got really cold. Anyway,it may be because you guys want to keep us busy till the release, and if you'd have posted 10 turns per day we would have been bored again in just a couple of days. As it is now... a road here,a text there...not bad either. If each of you manage, between these,to post DAR twice a day I am all right. Thanks!
