Started the download this morning before leaving for work. Patience isn't one of my biggest virtues. I have a meeting this afternoon,so no chance to leave early today... My 40th birthday was two days ago. Not too bad a timing guys, but not perfect ;-) Three hours still to go....

It's funny, there's some typical music to a few games: Everytime I hear Pet Shop Boys' "It's A Sin" I have to think of SSIs classic Kampfgruppe. When I played SSIs Clash of Steel, I had some Ace of Base cd running all night. And, of course, playing Battlefield Vietnam, it was Roling Stones 'Paint ist Black'!

I have to admit that I am quite disappointed to read this. The last discs I recieved from BFC were all shipped via the european depot. Nice and easy. Don't understand why they can't ship preordered steelboxes to Europe. But there is a lot I do not understand in this world...

Guys! I never thought that it would be possible... But even after more than 16 years, reading the word 'Fruchtreis' sends shivers down my spine...

I have repeated freezes, too. Looks like a few problems too much for my liking. First I could not obtain a license via online activation. No internet connection. Well, everything else worked fine using my internet connection. When I tried to obtain an offline license, the eLicense programm froze when I tried to save the license to a file. I deinstalled Spybot S&D and stopped my security system, even killing it to the last process. To no avail. Copy&paste did the trick. I started the game, and during the first training mission I get repeated freezes. I disabled EAX --> freeze. I disabled shadows --> freeze. Once I had a CTD. I have up to date drivers and stopped all unnessecary tasks before launching the game. Now, after more than two hours of mounting frustration, I will call it quit and wait for the first few patches. You know, there are other recent games out there that just work like a charme... See ya in a couple of weeks!

Well, sometimes being paranoid isn't paranoid enough On my server, the d: drive has som 130GB space left. So I choose a directory on d:. What I did not had in mind is that my server always saves downloads temporarily on c: ... Guess what, there were only 1.26GB space left. Now I have a 1.26GB ToW Setup file on my d: drive. I hate being outsmarted while trying to be smart Have fun with the game! I will join you tomorrow (MESZ)...

Download is working now! Thanks to whoever fixed this Speed @ 460+ kb/s. Being paranoid now, I try a two stage process: first downlad the file to my server in a datacenter (taking advantage of the relatively fast and foremost reliable connection) without using GetRight and it's kind. When this is finished, about an hour from now, I'll transfer the file to my desktop via FTP. I like being paranoid. It's not that I have to, it's only because I am able to Anyway, there is no way to try the game tonight, my partner would go crazy at me if I'd try!

GetRight tells me that it can't find the file... And now eLicense tells me that my max. downloads have been reached. bad day

Same for me. DT crashes on two different systems. Already submitted the crashlogs to the support team. Too bad, as tomorrow is a national holiday, I finally have some time to play... Fite
