  1. Of course not It was a rhetorical question
  2. I was in the hospital for a while, so now that I'm out, I thought I'd stop in and annoy you all
  3. Ahhh! HeheHeheHeHHeeeHe! (in my best scooby-doo voice). I am a persitant little bugger.
  4. Huh????? This thread was super old. Why bring it up?
  5. There's supposed to be a big announcement here, and for COmbat Mission as well. Are these announcements still coming this month?
  6. I just remembered my last topic that as neutered with the server problem! It was this: Do most of you play with fog-of-war on or off?
  7. All the posts from my other Ireland thread are gone so we'll try again. I was wondering what people like to do with Ireland if they lose neutrality.
  8. Well, Hubert lives in good 'ol Quebec I think? Many of my ancestors are from there (Pinard) So, I'm not sure of the exact climatology, but I think it snows A LOT there. Maybe it begins consistently snowing in October... Just my guess.
  9. The Irish Sword. That sounds like something I'd like to read. Where can I get it from? JJ - I was mad when I saw your posts were gone. I know I lost a ton of posts too that morning. I sure hope they fixed whatever's wrong with this server.
  10. Thank you guys! My posts on this thread were crunched when the server went down. But I had asked if the book has lots of maps? I LOVE maps And if it's interesting reading, or just dry numbers? That might be a book I'd like to buy, but I see at Amazon.com it's $95!
  11. Lost my posts from this morning SO I was wondering if Norway and FInland had any appreicable Air Force in 1939?
  12. Is someone making a mod for SC? Is this why this thread was started? Or is this discussion for the benefit of Hubert? Sorry if these are dumb questions. All the suggestions above are EXCELLENT. I have a suggestion that is totally different than all of yours: Nuclear Research. Exceptionally expensive and risky research program. When used it would eliminate all units and production for the hex hit.
  13. Can you please expand on this of me, Im sto;o; not comprehending.
  14. In case you missed it we're talkin about countries and their tendancies of Axis vs. Allies. Very good discussion. http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=18&t=003340&p=2#000044 However I'd like some infomration that states something like this (hisorically of course) Germany had thia many army units, air wings unit, Battlships, U-Boats etc. Netherlands had an Army Group I consisting of 2,000 troops. The USA had blah blah blah then ramping up production. I can use a database or refernece to really make this scenario come alive. Can somone point me in the right direction and give me some links? LIke army totals for all countries in 1939?
  15. JerseyJohn, excellent Reponse! A few questions though: The Baltic States were anti-semetic?! I just don't know how the governments could have assoaicated Jews with Russian Communism when Stalin kill just as many as Hitler did, and Stalin killed anyone else who looked the wrong way. I figured the Baltic States would be VERY anti-Soviet, and by 1939's russo-German non aggression act would be clamoring for help from Allied tpye nations who would oppose Stalin and Russia. Greece: Technically wasn't Greece "Allied" amd against the Axis since Germany invaded and conquered them? Rambo - Don't forget Stalin. HItelr's deeds are much more well documeneted and talked abou than Stalins... but Stalin was just as bad as Hitler, and maybe even worse.
  16. That would be neat, but it's not possible with SC1. I'm working on a new scenario you might find very interesting though that will come close to what you're asking for. I'm testing it tonight
  17. JerseyJohn - I know what you mean. The amount of doctors in the boob job, chia pet hair growth, and other unneeded plastic surgery areas is sickening. Good doctors and surgeons are terribly overworked. Ohhh, this is why I don't watch the news anymore. Too depressing.
  18. Rambo you actually have a good point. I'd never thought much about the fact people may have needed jobs and at that early point in the war many of the NAzi atrocities would not have been known. I believe after his early acquisitions Hitler stated he had no intentnios to expand Germanies borders - and people were all too happy to try and believe that.
  19. I see this mentioned in the stretgy guide, yet I don't understand why. If you're units have a direct line to major city isn't this unnecessary? Thanks!
