  1. Wow, I spent all night working on this the night I posted and had the same issue every single time. Probably 30 times in a row! Now, as I go to document it super carefully for you... it works perfectly! The only thing I did differently was editing the y-axis first instead of the x-axis. I'm pretty swamped at the moment, but when I get a chance I'll go back and see if I can see what dumb mistake I was making... or if it was the editing of one axis vs. the other first made a difference. Here's what I did that worked flawlessly (listed for my future reference) 1. Open “1939 Fall Weiss” in editor. 2. “Save as” Test 1939. 3. Edit Map Size. 4. Change 38 to 46. 5. Shift Map Contents. 6. Vertical Shift (y-axis). 7. 5 @ 0 -> 40. 8. Warning message…This action will reslt in data loss from tiles (*,41) -> (*,45) 9. Update related scripts? Yes. -------------- 10. Edit map size 11. 140 to 144. 12. Shift contents. 13. Horizontal Shift (x-axis) 14. 2 @ 0 -> 141.
  2. Here's what I did. 1. Fresh install of SC2. 2. Installed patch 1.04 3. Load up 1939 Fall Blau 4. "Save as" - "custom 1938" 5. Add 10 cells - cells are added to bottom of screen. 6. Then I want to shift the map down ~4 cells so I have blank area at both the top and bottom of the map. 7. - I get all kiknds of "scripts need to be updated" comments. Thanks!
  3. Wow, that sounds like the mod I was going to make. YES YES YES!!! Will Eretria be in there as an Axis territory?
  4. Now that we've got 1.4 there were notes Hubert wrote about older mods... exporting and importing info. I wasn't clear if this was for mods "in development" or all mods period. Let me know what to do. Thanks!
  5. Hello everyone. Been a while since I've been on and I have a question... I'm trying to work from the premade 1939 Fall Weiss scenario. I'd ike to make a 1938 scenario with a much different diplomatic and miltiary setup that the campaign game currently has. To do this I want to add cells to the US area (which worked fine), and I want to addional cells to both the North and South (Icelan/Africa). So I add 8 cells, and then shift it approrpriately but it seems to break a whole bunhc of scripts even though I ask the game to auto-adjust scripts to fit the new spaces. It's not working well Any hints?
  6. OH SWEET! Even though I love Britain, I'd like to play as Argentina as a cool "what if" scenario. I highly suggest having the far Eastern Argentinian coastline along with the full islands. Example here: Or you could just add Argentinian coastline (out of scale) so it's there for production's sake.
  7. Thanks. I added some screenshots for people to compare/see the different graphic options in the game too.
  8. Hi everyone. I've got a basic Strategic Command 2 site up and I'll be happy to host any and all mods you make for the game. http://www.jeffpinard.com/SC2.htm I'm not a fancy web-designer and believe in keeping things simple. As more mods accumulate I'll branch off the main page to include secondary pages with mods sorted by type. Until a lot of mods have been submited, I'll just keep them on the main page. Send them to japinard@gmail.com in a zipfile and include the following information in your e-mail: 1. A version number, so it's easier for people to cross-reference updated mods. 2. Is it beta? 3. Please include a screenshot if it's a graphical mod, new campaign, or edited scenario. If you're editing a pre-existing campaign, take a screenhot of an area that shows some of the differences (ex. differing troop concentrations/placement). 4. Include a readme with basic installation options (ex. drop this file in your //SC2/Bitmaps/ folder). If you're editing someone elses work, please give them credit. Thanks, and hope to see some new work soon! I know the site is simple - but sometimes simple is best [ April 22, 2006, 08:21 AM: Message edited by: japinard ]
  9. That is so wonderful to hear!! My wife and I have been praying for you and her.
  10. I was just in the hospital for 2 weeks and got out last week. One thing that made me feel a lot better was knowing people (outside of my family) from forums I post on were thinking and praying for me. It's amazing how good it feels to know that people you've never met care for you.
  11. COG, yea your e-mail got spit back to me. I wanted to let you and your wife know there IS "light at the end of the tunnel", and when I was almost dead I wish someone who'd been through this experience had told me that (maybe print this post out for her)... I had a full respiratory collapse in 1999 at the age of 30 after a seevre bout of pancreatitus, and was on a vent and in a coma for a month. My lungs were in sch bad shape they bled profusley all the time and were swollen and stuck right through my rib cage. Though I didn't have a transplant I had to go through the difficult and painful rehab your wife is (since I'd been in a bed for 2 straight months total). I never thought I'd be off oxygen or be able to walk more than a hundred feet again, but after 6 months I was able to do both. I mention this, because I know how slow the recovery is, and each day seems insurmountable, and the ups and downs, and relapses make you feel hopeless sometimes. BUT... I did it, and if your wife can walk 300 feet now, that is fantastic. Please tell her that means she is well on her way to being able to ride a bike in the park. And that's no bull. I could not pee for a month without fear of heart failure because it was so much "work" and would drain all my O2... The other thing I personally wish I'd known when being so sick was... the horrofic dreams, nightmares, and sickening fear I had was much more from the pain medicine and drugs, than from my mind. I thought I was having psychological problems due to being afraid of dying... and since you kind of internalize a lot, never thought to ask... but a lot of those meds have some severe psychotropic effects that are not too pleasant. Knowing its a side effect makes life a little easier... By the way, I used to see Dr. Stern at the Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Rainbow Babies - but my family nor I could handle long distance hospital stays so I haven't seen him in a long time. But when I need to go on the transplant list, I'll have them at the top of my list.
  12. You hit it right on... I'd be more than willing to pay for CD's loaded wth this stuff too. I think it'd be in Battlefront's or the community to put somethihg like this together.
  13. I know but the way I had my CMBB, I had it so I could zip it into a 300 Meg file so I could redownload it when I had to redo my system. Generaly any higher rez mappings are an improvement to me... Since cmmods will prolly be down for a while yet, is there any toher sites where people are hosting their mods?
  14. Can I ask what condition your wife has? I have Cystic Fibrosis and a close friend of mine with Cystic Fibrosis had a double lung transplant. She's doing fantastic now. CMCOg, I e-mailed you, but wanted to write this here as well in case your e-mail is down.
  15. Is there a "mod-pack" that has the best mods all packed together? I can't fathom the thought of wadign through hundreds of mods on my own
  16. Just curious is it's slated for 2005, 2006, or 2007?
  17. Just want to say "Hi" to the developers and tsay I can't wait til this comes out!
  18. I know nothing about this game, but from the main page it sounds really excellent, especially the ability to destroy ever ything.
