  3. Quit the smoking mate. And what's up with this Waltero-dude looking down your pants? http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=104561
  4. You should look at the screen and not down the pants.
  5. so that is not the new sc3? anyway cool stuff, seems like a copy of the sc franchise!
  6. Hey guys what's happening? Give us something, a screenshot perhaps?
  7. Huh my guy is red? Well well what do we got here? Ole guardsman lurking. Greetings!
  8. I think stacking is rather dull, mostly for people who don't play the game strategically and just wants to mass units instead. As PzGndr said, the scale of the game makes this unnecessary. I like to keep the simplistic feel of sc1 with the add ons of later versions combined with great graphics and some brand new innovations. For instance more politics in a simplistic form maybe? The difficult part is not to make a game complex, but make the complex simplistic and user friendly. Focus should be the game not on mechanics. Same goes with air. It's fine an airunit occupies a whole hex without other units stacking or enter the hex. It makes the overview so much better.
  9. As I've said before, I'm willing to contribute. Playtesting, scenariomaking, research of commanders and historical facts etc. Just PM me.
  10. I don't really think it was, but if you were impressed Im happy.
  11. I know. Do you really want to repeat all the discussions of pro and cons we have had over the last well let me see 10 years?
  12. Well excuse me, but I strongly believe that in wargaming you need to be offensive to win.
  13. Mohammed Atta was killed on 9/11 and will thus not be helping out with sc3. Anyway bringing in a graphic designer would be really cool. Much of the game engine and other stuff is already developed over the years, we only lack simple retreat rules(eg retreat in normal terrain if lots of casualties, never retreat while on city hex) and hexes and some more stuff. Though what the game need is something brand new to seperate form the rest.
  14. This is excellent news. Official confirmation. Glabro: I have no doubt hexes will the choice.
  15. This is easy. WW2 is the must setting. Make one global scenario, one european theathre and/or pacific to be included. Simplicity of sc1 with the possibility to expand and deepen the game as made in sc2.
  16. Glabro: Agreed, with the editor of sc2 the sc1 game could be great and make use of different scales. But hexes must come back, graphics must be super and editing perhaps be easier to do. It can be done.
  17. Well me and JerseyJohn proposed an enhanced version of sc1 2-3 years ago. Very quiet back then from everyone else. If people no want to go back to basics of sc1 and with the improvements of sc2 series plus heavily improved graphics that would be nice.
  18. No. The reason the Red Army held Stalingrad was due to other reasons. First of all the STAVKA fed troops into the meat grinder just enough to hold the city, this exhausted the germans that had one chance to capture the city and that was on march in july-august. Remember that most of the 6th Army was locked on the flanks, just some of the divisions fought inside the city itself. In the end perhaps an infantry corps. There are also other explanations when the battle well commenced inside the city. Paulus problems to capture the northern suburbs locked up a lot of his tanks and erradicate him more attacking options than from the west. Luftwaffe turning the city to rubble was another important factor why Chuikov's troops held on in september, along with unprecedented bravery.
