  1. Hello, I am looking for PBEM opponent. One, maybe two, turns per day. On weekend maybe more. I am a not a newbie but not an expert either and I am looking for similar opponent. Settings are negotiable but I prefer default. I like to be Axis but this is also negotiable. What is non negotiable is from settings fog of war – ON and disable undo – ON. Also I want to play full campaign. And one more thing - If you are a quitter please don’t start game. I will play until the end of game or until player is in really hopeless situation and want to quit. If someone is interest let me know on my e -mail: tinagraditeljstvo@yahoo.com. Thanks.
  2. I already said before hundred times and I must say again. Hubert, we definitely need more options and events in diplomacy. I saw once when Spain joins Axis but never when Turkey joins Axis. Lots of minors should have more options like for instance: Sweden may join Axis or Allies, Yugoslavia may join Axis, Vichy France may join Axis, Vichy France may be deactivate by Allies, Greece may join Axis or Allies, Turkey may join Allies, Low countries may join Axis or Allies etc (all of this without declaration of war from major power, of course). Too bad because this is not in SC. I am absolutely sure that SC will be much more interesting.
  3. I agree with arby for 15. and 16. 17. Landing casualty penalty should occur only if unit is unload to hex adjacent to hex where is enemy units. These casualties should be hard and by this we can also resolve problem about blitz attack from allies on the first turn when Italy enters the war mentioned above. It is stupid that you can have landing casualty with no enemy unit around as we have now in the game. 18. More players influence in diplomacy instead of this automatic and much more detailed Manual how to do this.
  4. Does anyone have any list of movements or actions what players must do to have some influence to diplomatic events? I asked Hubert and others before but I got answer I quote: It will be bad for a game that players know in advance what will happen. Well, I agree but I what to know what I must do to increase or decrease possibility for some event to happen. I don’t what to know exactly what will happen and when. Diplomacy is a part of grand strategy also. Thanks in advance.
  5. That what I mean. In right click menu check box for "Do not intercept or escort". For each Air fleet individual, of course. That was my second suggestion to Hubert but I suggested that strategic bombers could NOT attack units in generally. If Air fleet can’t attack strategic resources then strategic bombers should not attack units. Logical. With all do respect to you Good Soldier Svejk this is incorrect and stupid. Air force always has their orders. So if their orders is to intercept they will intercept but if they have order to keep their strength and fuel they will stay on the ground. And another thing – what about all this cases in which enemy air force was surprised on the ground? They did not automatically intercept enemy planes. This option for automatically interception in game to my opinion is not real. Especially you who wants reality in game should see that.
  6. I agree with your suggestion that you can't reinforce units where ever you want but disagree with suggestion that you can reinforce when is no enemy unit nearby. My suggestion is that you can reinforce only in city hex or hexes around city like in Panzer General game.
  7. Well, I belong to group where are players who think that is air power to strong but I don’t wish radical changes to this issue. My suggestions are: 1. Air fleet or Strategic bombers should never destroy land units entirely. Maybe it will be better to use rule from Civilization 3 game – You can with air bombardment reduce land units strength to minimum but never destroy it entirely. Or 2. SC should have new units – Anti aircraft guns.
  8. Hi, In my post before, Hubert said if we massively demand manual for diplomacy that he we reconsider this proposal. I am also sent to him in one of my post my proposal that Air feet should have “Do not intercept or escort” option if player wants to keep Air fleet in full strength for offensive action in his turn. If you agree with my proposal please forward your vote to Hubert. Maybe we will get this option in next patch if he receives many your posts. Thanks in advance.
  9. With all do respect to guys who wants surprises in politics I will say to you this: Why Advanced Third Reich game (which is a great game there is no doubt) has special appendix for politics? What I like specially in A3R is a diplomatic modification to dice roll results. For instance: If I declare war to Yugoslavia you must add 2 to dice roll result to increase USSR war readiness or if I have 10 units in eastern front you must decrease 2 to dice roll result to reduce USSR war readiness. I know that in A3R is a whole different concept for diplomacy but if you have something similar like this modification in SC that what I want to know. I don’t want to know exactly what will happen when I do something (this will be really stupid). This is true but Adolf Hitler knew if he attacks Sweden that will be some effects on USA war readiness. He didn’t know exactly in what percentage. For all who didn’t knows diplomatic activity was intensive and important during the World War II.
  10. Hello to all SC players! Well, because manual is very superficial and unfinished (to my opinion) I have one question: Does anyone have list of all moves and actions which have influence to politics? For instance: If I declare war to Sweden for how many percent rise USSR entry to war? Thanks in advance. Veki
  11. Hi guys! Just one more question before we start to play final version: As Axis player (in Beta demo of course ) what I have to do to make Turkey join as Axis minor ally? Thanks.
  12. Hello Hubert, Just read your Gold announcement and want to say: GREAT WORK!!! I hope that you have in mind players from East Europe (me included – I am from Croatia. It is actually Middle Europe but you in US considered us as East Europe) and that we will not have big problems to order and receive your game. Thanks in advance and once again – great work!!! Vedran.
  13. Hubert, You are right about manual setup after DOW. It will be messy and I agree with Bill Macon suggestion "Keep neutrals controlled by the AI, but possibly randomize their setup" or suggestion that "AI could select a setup based on the situation". But for manual set up at start I don't understand your explanation. I was under impression that the SC game will be so great because players have opportunity to change historical events. You can put an option (button) for historical set up but why Axis player can’t attack first France or Great Britain in 1939 and then Poland for instance? Sorry if I misunderstand you and thank you again for all your recent replies. Veki.
