  1. What on earth are those guys doing??? They just keep casually strolling around the sniper's field of fire without a care in the world...
  2. I agree 100%: the man is as incompetent as they get and has been wrong about every single one of his predictions. However, he was already retired early in 2012 (under unclear circumstances), his position as adviser to the Merkel government ended back then as well. German public television has a tendency to always tryi to show both sides of any issue, no matter how ridiculous one of those sides may be. Vad is therefore a popular talk-show guest along with the likes of Sarah Wagenknecht etc. They represent fringe opinions but are sure to generate controversy and therefore clicks and views.
  3. That's what struck me too... He doesn't know what day it is and doesn't seem sure about what village he's in. When they drive up to some destroyed vehicles with Zs all over them, he asks "are they theirs or ours?"
  4. I hope this hasn't been posted before: cut and edited phone camera footage of a young Russian NCO's life before and during the invasion released by Ukraine after his capture. It sheds a fascinating and disturbing light on the Russian army and its perspective on the war.
  5. These embarrassing billboards are from at least seven years ago according to this link: https://weirdrussia.com/2015/04/27/sign-of-the-times-world-war-ii-victory-day-billboard-mix-up-caused-public-outrage/
  6. That's footage from 2014, however the point about training still stands...
  7. This is only my experience after a few games and needs proper testing, but to me it seems that the rate of tank guns getting disabled has more than doubled compared to other CM games. I played the demo scenario with the German attack and had half of my guns destroyed after one or two hits. Trying out the full game now and it seems to be the same here...
  8. I've been waiting for a small-scale campaign for ages! Can't wait til it's finished!
  9. Thanks so much for making this; I've been waiting for a smaller, more manageable campaign ever since RT came out. The original campaigns, while definitely involving a huge effort, have always been too cumbersome and micro-managent heavy for me. Your effort is greatly appreciated, I just hope the download would speed up :-)
  10. German here: the title should just be "Sicherung". With the added -s- the word turns into an attribute that must be followed by another noun :-)
  11. I played the first scenario and really enjoyed it. One thought, however: were the Soviet trenches really just in one long, continuous line? Once I had spotted them it was very easy to just order a linear fire mission on them, wipe out most soldiers and at-guns in them and then run the rest over with my tigers. The second scenario seems like a much bigger challenge so far, but I haven't gotten around to playing more.
  12. I've been playing the CM games since Beyond Overlord, but I've found that the ever increasing size of battles and campaigns is not my cup of tea - I'm just not that much of a micro manager. I actually enjoyed the training campaigns in CMBO and CMRT more than the actual ones due to their practical size and fast action. I've played Devil's Descent but that was the only smallish-sized campaign that I could find, so here's my question: are there any more out there that I've just overlooked?
  13. I really liked this mod from the pictures, but when I tried it in CMRT it looked fine without shaders, but when I turned them on, it caused some really ugly shadows in all the wrong places. Is this a normal bug or am I doing something wrong?
  14. I don't see them at CMMODS yet - am I doing something wrong? They look amazing, even on the crappy picture :-)
  15. Thanks for the reply - I guess my game was a bit extreme since the elefant (which had los on both targets) was under attack from two sides. It's still weird however, that when directly facing an opponent and having enough time to fire at it before turning to face the other target, it rather chooses to rotate instead.
