I have played CMBO almost EVERY day for TWO YEARS. My dad and I always have 2-3 e-mail games going on and I try and get at least one move off every day. I buy a lot of computer games of all types, and I mean a lot (more than two or three a week.) Most sit on my shelf. Hey, some people collect books, I end up with the computer games. The only game I have always come back to is CMBO and now CMBB. Q

I had an American Airborne squad with over 40 once. The other squads in the platoon did well too. At the end of the scenario I think only 6 or 8 guys in the entire platoon were left alive but had accounted for three times their number. Q

I looked at panzer aces on amazon some time ago. All the reviewers panned it. Mayhap I'll pick it up anyway... Q

Wow...didn't realize my thread would be this popular. When we get the full game I'll have her translate as much as I can. As far as the accents go she says of the files she listened to(maybe 40 of them) One person had a distinct Ukranian accent and the others had no accent. Which to her means St. Petersburg(Leningrad for this time period). She was impressed as most games I have with Russians, or even movies usually do a horrible job. Funny things is that in English she cusses worse than me but she would never even think to swear in Russian. It was a while before she started to cuss in English, she's been here 7 years. She took to it fairly well though. Wow, if she reads that she'll kill me. Q

I was playing the demo and my girlfriend(from Russia)heard me playing and came over to check it out. She thought she had heard Russian. We went through some of the sound files and she was surpised that most spoke with no accent and some were distinctly Ukranian. She was also surprised at how foul some of them were. Apparently swearing where she comes from isn't as casual as it is here in the states. -dazed

Amen. DL'd adware, ran it, were not that many files to remove. Rebooted and still no go. It literally was working one night when I went to bed and stopped working the next day. I hate gremlins. In reading the other threads it does seem to have to do with WinME and the Dell installer, exactly what I have(still doesn't explain why it happened spontaneously). Ack. I have this problem now too. Updating video drivers didn't fix it. Last thing I did was install DX8.1 but that was about a week ago and I've played CMBO several times since. Any other ideas? dazed(and confused)
