  1. My God are we done yet? Drunk as hell.... If I ever sober up I'm sending the rewards out this week! Wow! Burp! Good Job! I'll check on on Monday... -T
  2. Darn, been all occupied with my system upgrading. New board, processor, triple mem and better vid card... My day off was screwed so no scoreboards yet... -T
  3. Okay, Good job all and keep it up further. My correspondence is swamped and I'm drowning on the current workload. Damn'd RL! I'll get back to you on Friday (My day off and the bird will flap to see her granny!) and I hope to scrape up ALL the necessary time then to get this going smoothly. -T
  4. So we got one going the wicked way Good show boys and keep up the good work. This one is soon to be wrapped up and I get to send the prizes unless I bleed to death due to the constant visists of KFS... -T
  5. If you are referring to the lad who managed a victory though lacking reinforcements it was rjohnson@invoqsystems.com who managed this in the "Arch Enemies" scenario. Other guys could have managed it as well but this one I could verify... -T [Edited as I got a new keyboard with a propely functioning "E" key ] [ August 26, 2002, 04:30 AM: Message edited by: Traject0ry ]
  6. Thank you brave souls for stating YHOs. As I'm running a tournament FOR you (though I get to feel the heat as well...) the idea is to get feedback and make decisions for the future. The problems you've been having with e-mail should vanish if you regularly keep demanding for missing turns. In that case a mail that was not delivered can be resent more quickly. Read the topic if turns are late. Many guys are polite enough to post here if they are away. Some are also clever enough to post if the opponents don't reply to their mails. I hope these things are sorted out without further difficulty. I've been away meself for about 40 hours (weekend off, local music video festival demanded my presence. Nothing happens here without me )and am catching up with the workload both with the tourney and in RL. Keep posting and playing lads. I like to hear from any sort of trouble you engage during the tournament as I know that some things are bound to bug you. Just splurt it out and I try to make things better. -T
  7. I thought I heard he was on a summer camp. He'll be back within a week methinks... Mine too. Prolly the very best I have ever played. Hope that Boyd does not read this topic . It would get to his head . -T
  8. Loads of feedback are pouring in as I hoped. I hope that you are not expecting personal replies as my time is rather limited to accomplish full scale correspondence with 24 people. Here are some main points and replies to them: Slow Progress I can't do much to prevent it. I WAS expecting some difficulties on this sector and don't feel crushed about the matter. Solutions: 1. Deadlines . I hate deadlines  . No deadlines  . 2. Creating groups for tourneys consisting "fast lane" with turn a day rate and a slower pace group for 4-5 mails per week and the snail lane for the slower players. Separate finals for all the groups. This too is bound to cause trouble but is the best thing I can figure out. Random reinforcement insertions Yes, they are unfair . War is not fair. As I'm a democrat I could have a vote (Yea/Nay) for fixed arrivals but IMHO as this tournament IS SUPPOSED to be about reacting to the surprises and changing conditions of the battlefield I'd love to have them included. Somebody has done very well in one of the games though his luck was so rotten that the promised reinforcements never materialized. Arrival of CM:BB I rest my case. I will acquire a copy and play the game. Still I'm more attracted to west front as the east front provides way more difficulties in scenario designing. I hope I get to post the honours and send the rewards as this folds up. I'll run this as long as you are willing to play. If you think it is not fun we'll call it a day and my boss will see me doing some REAL work for a change... Feel free to quote this or just to post your opinions about the three matters above. These were the only things that showed in multiple mails. -T
  9. Good Job with the scenarios. Hope you enjoyed the bunch already done. Have a g1 lad... Yet another finished. Soon all is done but the scoreboard The rules state that you should play all as Pbem if requested. If you'd like to TCP/IP some or all and your opponents agree there is nothing against it in the rules. This should be for fun... ...and glory and fame of course! I do not think that your CM:BO does not run after installing CM:BB. I do not think that BTS sends strike team to take you out for playing CM:BO after the launch of CM:BB. This goes for the rest of you also. I hope we can wrap this up before CM:BB reaches the stores but if not you have to play yuor games or drop out from the tourney. I mail to your opponent. I sure hope he replies. If not we'll have to figure it out fast! To Mike and Kuma: You guys seem to enjoy ripping each other apart so no further comments are required . To everybody: Those of you who haven't seen the Monty Python's Holy Grail and can't quote at least one half of the dialogue from memory alone I have some homework to be done. Watch the movie . -T
  10. And your father smelt of elderberries... Missed that one on the first screening. Age does not come alone . -T
  11. I hope all you lads pop here once in a while as this is a great place for information on game progress and possible difficulties (technical, RL etc.) causing all sorts of delays are sorted here. If you are not sure that the opponent got the last files sent e-mail them and ask. If these bounce as well just post here and I'll try to reach 'em... -T [ August 22, 2002, 03:20 AM: Message edited by: Traject0ry ]
  12. One of the bloodiest scenarios I have ever played. It always leaves you feeling somewhat empty... -T
  13. By gun length? By bumper length? Or by bumper sticker length? Keep us posted Why does the "Bushmen" always end up in a flagrush? Too few large VLs ? That Leffe fights grand for the value. I'll add him to the LFHB too so you can utilize the excellent tail-wagging man's best friend in those scenarios as well . Don't think you have won them already as the iceberg arrives as a reinforcement on turn 6. Expect to be hit and sunk before turn 25... -T
  14. Read you loud and clear... ...or should I say aloud and clear  Try and win the war lad. This one is tricky as you actually have to kill in order to win . You should be serious about the "Elite Leffe" as it cost your enemy over 400 points to deploy and has all sorts of secret weapon and sensor gimmicks installed... I sure hope that none of you can actually win them all. It might be possible though... -T
  15. Still true. Can't find a post in this thread that notes he is away. Doesn't mean I just didnt find it. jdejohn, are u out there? At the *current* rate of turn arround, it will take a ~125 days to finish Dies Ireas.</font>
