  1. I'd go and re-buy the full CMSF package right now if I could get it as a one stop installer with the base game and all modules all patched right up and ready to go.
  2. Does anyone know the name of this map? I assume it's one of the QB maps but I can't seem to find it.
  3. Thanks for the heads up Panther, off to grab them now!
  4. Yes, its out. I bought mine in GAME in Glasgow about two weeks ago now. They had plenty of them and i can't imagine they have sold out yet. I haven't seen it anywhere else, though.
  5. I think I actually prefer CMAK to BB. There may be less extremely powerful units than in the last game but i don't think it makes it any less fun. One of the reasons I like CMAK more is that one of my fathers friends who died recently was the intelligence officer of the 5th Seaforth Highlanders,( Part of the Highland Division,) and wrote a book called 'Battalion,' about the fighting he was involved in. The game will give me a chance to recreate some of the battles out of it. On top of this i think there is something about commanding British troops that I like more than eastern front stuff. Believe me, there are a LOT of interesting battles that can be recreated.
  6. The sound in CMAK is great, really crisp. the sound of a hidden MG42 sudenly opening up on your infantry is still one of the most scary things aound! I agree, the BAR sound is fantastic!
  7. I was much the same at first, thinking that as I didn't know as much about the Eastern front I probably wouldn't enjoy the game as much as CMBO. Boy, was I wrong! Since before I got the game I started reading a fair bit about it all and I think there is a certain terrible romantisism about the Eastern front,It's difficult to read accounts of Stalingrad, for example, without thinking something of the bravery of ordinary men an woman living and fighting in conditions that can truly be called horrific. For me, I have gained more and more respect for those who fought and died in this war since buying the game. I even have a better understanding of the war in this theatre since buying it, and I thinks thats something pretty special for a computer game.
  8. An SS PanzerGrenadier squad of mine had a count of 86 infantry casualties. I've often seen MGs with twice that number of 'kills'.
  9. I got an FO to bring down a barrage of heavy mortars on a spot out of los. I didn't even notice at first they were falling on a company of mine that were massing for an assualt. lost about a platoon and had other freaked out before i knew it. still, I learned to be a damn sight more careful about handling arty after that so i guess it was worth it!
  10. I would love to see some sort of AI scripting, even if it's no more detailed than" go down that road, not that one." Just think of the possbilities!
  11. Great idea! if it get ported over d'ya think BFC could fix it so you get a health pack for every platoon of elite gaurds you waste. maybe witrh a cheery " Boing!" sound when you pick it up.
  12. I don't think the ground state makes a difference for troops digging in. What sort of battle is it because I think you can only dig in during a QB if your defending against an attack or assault force but not for probe or ME?
  13. I think most of it has already been said.. 1: Relative spotting 2: I think dynamic lighting would be kinda cool 3: More terrain types and doodads, like more building types, fountains and haystacks, that sort of nonsense. 4: Improved AI (although i'd imagine this is a given anyway,) and last of all, a campaign system of some sort.
  14. Yup. I've seen this too. I figured at first that it was incoming fire but it weren't. I don't think it's a bug though. Actually, I kinda like it.
