  1. I remember that I wanted to buy a German military overcoat last year. I like it very much. However, when I took it, I found it very heavy (!)... I cannot tell u its weight, but it is much heavier than I expected. Eventually, I did not buy it. I think it will be too heavy for me, and I can't imagine how a fully equipped German soldier walking on snow ground...
  2. I have nearly completed three new scenarios. If u are interested, give me e-mail and I'll send them to u. Brief note of the new missions: Title: Struggle in Tractor Work Type: Allied Attack Date: 12th October 1942 Location: Southwest of Tractor Work, Stalingrad Turns: 35+ Semi-historical: Axis: 1550 pts Allied: 1400 pts ********** Background: October 12, 1942. After days of preparation, German was going to launch the final and decisive blow at the Russian resistance in the tractor work. In fact, they had already occupied the area southwest of the tractor work. That effectively cut off any possible Russian reinforcement from the south. In order to give the factory defenders any real chance of success, Russian must counterattack and open up the supply route between the tractor work and the gun factory. And German must gain firm control of it. ****** Title: Arctic Campfire Type: Allied Assault Date: 7th March, 1944 Location: Northern boarderland of Russia, near Finland Turns: 50+ Historical: 1660 pts (for Allied player only) ********** Background: March of 1944. Northern boarderland of Russia. In order to push the German back to Finland, Red Army conducted a major attack at the German defence line. At the left flank of their defence line, there was a German strongpoint near Hay Lake. It was defended by a reinforced German ski company. In order to conduct a successful flank attack, Russian must overrun the German strongpoint. At 0100 hrs on 7th March, 1944, Russians launched an attack at the German strongpoint under the cover of darkness, with the use of a full ski battalion. ****** Title: Tigers' Proving Ground Type: Meeting Engagement Date: June, 1944 Location: Belwagen, North Region of Russia Turns: 30+ Historical Background: This is the most famous victory of German Tiger Ace, Otto Carius. Pure tank duel, with 8 Tiger I vs 17 JS-2 + 4 T-34 (!!). This mission shows the real power of Tiger, especially under capable command!
  3. Once my advance in Stalingrad was held by a concrete bunker with gun. Since the bunker was located adjacent to a building, I decided to send a squad, platoon HQ, and a flamethrower to tackle it. All went smoothly. My flamethrower aimed precisely at the door of the bunker and ready to pull the trigger. At the moment, my reinforcement came.... a Stuka. The pilot did want to take the bunker out, and dropped a bomb onto the adjacent building  Result: All of my men dead (except the pilot, of course), and the bunker still intact!
  4. I had completed a historical mission recently. However, I think it still need improvement before it can be "opened to the public". I need playtesters to improve the scenario so that it can be polished. Brief description: Spring 1944. A single company of German ski troop held a stronghold in Finnland in order to prevent Russian penetration. In order to breach the line, Russian ski battalion tried to attack the stronghold at night. That is an historical scenario. Both OOB of both sides and map are quite accurate. However, I found it not easy to move the whole Russian infantry who are prone to panic. I hope to polish the game with your opinion. Anyone interested? I'll send the scenario to him/her.
  5. I am glad that you like my scenario. I admitted that the OB is not quite accurate. The information I got did not mention about the German and Russian armour. Those are added because it is impossible for German to cross the railroad yard without armour support (or artillery pieces). For Russian, I think the appearance of T-34 near the pier is reasonable. Although there was only a small tank brigade available for defence, the pier is so important that the Russian commander would set up some armour reserve. For those who are interested, please visit the Scenario Depot--- CMBB Battle: Ferry Ticket of Volga
  6. Thanks for your comment. Since I am a novice for scenario design, your comment helps me to improve.
  7. Once my friendly pilot even drop a bomb onto my anti-tank gun, which is behind the line and far from any enemy... I am sure that he is a spy of the enemy...
  8. I have just finished my first CMBB scenario:--"Ferry Ticket of Volga". It is about the fighting of the ferry pier of Stalingrad. I've spent some time to read related material to make this historical scenario. I think it properly recreates the difficulties of fighting in the ruin of Stalingrad. This is my first mission. Hope you enjoy it. Please give me comment. Combat Mission Scenario Depot
  9. CMBO....... It really shocked me when I played the demo for the first time. "That is the game I want!" I thought. I decided to buy it when I played the demo twice! CMBB is even better, but it didn't shock me.
  10. Once upon a time, I had to deal with a bunker in Stalingrad street. I brought up a squard, platoon HQ and flamethrower to a building adjacent to the bunker. Since the building is out of the firing arc of bunker, I was sure that I could take out the bunker in a turn ot two. Then... another helper came... that's a friendly plane. The pilot really want to help me to knock out the bunker, and he dropped a bomb on it. The bomb... missed its target and fell onto the building!! It killed everything except the bunker!
  11. Is there anyone else to be my playtester? I need your comment to improve my scenario.
  12. I'm glad to hear someone like my scenario. I tried many times as German but the best result is DRAW. In fact, this scenario is translated from the famous book "Enemy at the Gate" by William Graig. Tonight, when I playtested the mission again, I attacked an pillbox from a nearby building. A friendly plane tried to help me by dropping a bomb on that building! Everything in the building was bursted into pieces, and the pillbox still remained intact! Amazing! Just like something described in the book!
  13. I have just completed a new Stalingrad scenario and I currently self-testing it. It is about the fighting for the ferry pier of Stalingrad on September 14th, 1942. That is one of the critical battle of Stalingrad, as the city would have been captured easily if German controlled the pier. Semi-historical, 30 turns, Axis: about 2500 pts, Allied: about 1600 pts. Would you like to be the playtester? This is my first CMBB scenario ever made, and welcome for any comment.
  14. When your troop saw a covered area (e.g. wood), you think that it will be a good cover place, but the only way to find out is actually move into that place. In fact, that location may not be as safe as you think. That's the way of life in battlefield. I think there is no problem for that, and you may take your risk to expose your troop in order to move them to (supposed to be) safe place.
  15. Thanks, I made a wrong guess . Anyway, the scenario is quite good. I played twice as German, and I was surprised when the pair of T-34 appeared around the corner!
