  1. I know the CMBB guide is currently backordered, but can some one 'in the know' find out if when it comes back into stock, will it be a new '2nd Edition' that fixes the extraneous typos or will it just be more copies of the original guide? Thanks in advance.
  2. Yes, my friend. "Rock" is indeed the appropriate term to use in this scenario.
  3. Well, I for one am certainly having fun reading this thread the last week. I think it's really cool to have stumbled upon something like this. The only secret I ever got from my Grandpa, who was an engineer that arrived in Europe during the late years of the war, is that he had an affair with some hotty German girl that was actually the girlfriend of one of the german POW's they had working in the repair shops...heheh. Good 'ol gramps!
  4. So...you guys are trying to say that there are other scenarios besides the ones included on the CD? Will wonders never cease! Overall, why do you scenario designers think you create custom scenarios? Is it to see your work being played and admired by others? Is it because it's a wonderful creative outlet for your love of this game and/or the history of this war? Or do you do it just for fun? I know there's not one definitive answer for all of you, but I was just wondering in general why one goes through the lengthy process of creating custom scenarios...
  5. Hmmm...methinks you don't really know who wrote AND published this game, do you?
  6. He snaps the ball...it's in his hands...there goes the punt! It looks like it's gonna land all...the...way...on the front page! Now go vote this game the honors it deserves!
  7. Worthy cause if I ever saw one. Wargamer.com is one of the few site that dedicated to this wonderful genre of games that we all do so enjoy... Now go make a difference and help in any way you can!
  8. I agree that the AI has been playing a lot better, but do you guys find yourself playing the defender against the AI? I still find this not to be as satisfying as attacking the AI. The AI's attacking tactics intelligence still seems a bit off to me. Any comments?
  9. I did my part voting and on the comments ssections. Maybe the unwashed masses will heed the call of CM:BB!
  10. Forgetting about a delayed artillery bombardment I scheduled prior to the battle starting and then walking a whole company into the treeline it was set to fall on. Not pretty. Drugs are BAD, mmkay?
  11. Well, I have always been vocal in my praise of rune and his scenarios. I think what everyone is missing here is that a truly great scenario designer is going to have a variety of different types of scenarios to play. Different people like different things...heck even the same person will like different things. Sometimes I want to fight a uphill, hard to win scenario. Sometimes I want to play a big AFV battle with little cover so the firefight gets hard and heavy. Sometimes I want to be challenged to come up with new tactics, or to learn to adapt my tactics to situations. Variety is the spice of life, and no one is ever going to be completely happy all the time. rune just plain rocks as a scenario designer and the CM community would be severly lacking if it wasn't for his dedication to making all these lovely battle to play out! *cheers* rune!
  12. Ditto, I have seen this problem 1st hand. Thank god it was the AI and not my guys doing it. But the tank the AI was controlling kept sitting there for about 5-6 rounds trying to fire on a little MG dug in at a treeline. After about 5 rounds, it finally stopped, probably being out of HE ammo by then, lol!
