1. Hi guys... Do any of you have info on CMAK One Click to Combat utility? Has it been done? I know someone did for CMBB but still no word for CMAK. Its a great utility. Please let me know any news.
2. Ok guys...Im the guys playing as the allies in this pillbox controversy. They actually spent 2 direct scherck hits on my pillbox, and yes they appear to be inside the pillbox as well, the truth is that (Taunt) they turn Yellow and ran away like madcows...!!!!
3. I would love to see serious games on the Xbox, I actually own Xbox Live and have played Ghost recon a lot, my experience is that Xbox users are 25 to 35 years old...wich is great for wargamers, that reflects in great tactics and ambience while playing. Right now Xbox would publish Operation Flashpoint wich we hope could be Xbox Live enabled, that will bring a lot of people to Xbox. Also in the Mod comment I agree that Xbox users couldnt get as much as we do but remember that Xbox Live has download content meaning new levels, new skins and so on. Im very passionate to see a game like CMBB, CMBO or Panzer Elite on consoles. A pitty I am dreaming!!!
4. Guys, I was having a brawl with a PBEM and there was a situation in wich some enemy 20mm guns were hitting my Stug in the left side and some hits were done at the tracks inmobilizing the tank. I was about 250 meters away from the enemy gun and my crew was regular. They never panic, I just wanted to know if this situation could or was accounted for in any way...some could find this behavior unreal but my grandpa who served in Korea as a mechanic, told me that it could be possible that the guys took the hits because they knew there were low rounds. Could you guys share some toughts?
5. Do not dare to forget The Alamo Scouts in the Pacific Theather. N'uff said.
6. Guys I remember a while back there was a guy who made a PBEM utility to orginize and send PBEM's. The program was called CM: One Click to Combat and the version was 1.0.4.0 Do you know if there is a similar utility for CMBB games? If so could you link me?
7. though you can have an AA battery and cut them in half
8. The journalist was candid about CM and CMBB, in Puertorrican speech....He did'nt knew crap about CM RFLOL
9. How weird...Im from Puerto Rico and recieved it 3 days after release...
10. I would like to pass you 2 ideas, I would like to see in the future the ability to buy reinforcements in quickbattles..It could be great to buy a IL-2 to show up in turn 5 or 9 when things are getting rough. My second idea is for the hidden command. Could you in any way include a cammo skin or a canvas semi transparent skin on top of a hidden unit? that could be sooo cool. My best wishes for you and your team.
11. Welcome..a word of advice 1- Buy a new CD Rom, you will never pull out the CMBB out of the one you have. 2-Prepare Divorce papers..wife will hate this game. 3-Kill your dog..it demands too much time out of CMBB Optional: Buy CMBO and make a shrine for it.
12. Thank you Sir for those wonderfull mods. For the guys trying to open the RAR files, you can go to http://www.the-underdogs.org and go to the Applications sections they have a program called WINRAR its the best, it opens rar and zips. Ah, also once you are there, go to the Wargames sections you will be amazed on how many things you will find there..I personally recomend Age of Rifles.
13. Guys I have Win98 and Im using ADSL, I can't Host a TCP/IP. Do you guys have link or a PDF file to teach how to open a hole on the DSL to host??
14. We're not getting a pacific CM unless we mod it. That much I'm sure of. Out of curiosity, who might be interested in a Korean CM game?
15. I was in the same position you are now in deciding to buy this game. Over one year ago I always looked for First Person Shooters and RPGs but suddenly when grandpa died and they gave me all his WWII memorabilia stuff I grew interested in the WWII games. Once I installed it, the graphics were not match to other games in the market..but as weeks went by I began to undestand the grand scope of the game...then I sat and read the manual 3 times and I got it all right...no matter graphics this is the best game ever made...even better than Tie Fighter wich now scores 2nd place. Yes , CMBO is that good...you know why? REPLAYABILITY...it all comes down to it. No 2 games are the same ever...no matter if you play the same scenario 300 times..the results are always different. The other thing that got me going was the community. You will never find a more dedicated fans to any game than this guys. The PBEMs way of playing will bring you dozens of new friends to chat about your favorite hobbie..Counter Strike cant give you that! Last but not least..the Mods..they are great..and it will become your crack. Saying all this, I a 30 year old guy from Puerto Rico...got to understand that this great game isnt about graphics or shading and frames..is about a bunch of guys who are devoted to you and me and they gave us Combat Mission Beyond Overlord!!!
16. Hello guys... I was watching Heavy Metal on the History channel and there was a Brit Tank Commander describing how effortless was to engage a Tiger, and how bullets bounced from the 2 shoots he made at it. Then he explained how the Tiger got him and 3 crews got killed and he was almost blinded...I just cant convince myself that the remarks he made of how soldiers fleed battle at the sight of a Tiger and how unnacurate Allied tanks were...he even said that he couldnt even make a Tiger kill at 200 meters!!??? Do any of you have any sources on video depicting a Tiger kill?
17. Hello guys: The idea of a Turn based game like CM to consoles sounds scary to me. I have already played a tittle called Advance Wars on the gameboy advance and it is a very nice game, but I cant imagine playing CM against a 13 year old. In terms of age, Tactical games are a hit on Asia for kids....not in the USA. I understand that making a PS2 or Xbox game of this sort would ruin the comunity wich is the greatest thing about CM Wargamers. I have never seen peolpe so devoted to a game, I have CM it scince last year and it is embeded in the CD Rom drive. As far as Im concerned CM greatness comes from The forums and the comunity. I wouldnt like to see this forum spoiled with childish coments or having gamey tactics used in scenarios.
18. Hello guys, some friends and I were talking about how future CM games could be and we got to some interesting ideas. We love the way CM generates terrain and buildings, our idea was to have the same tactical element as we have now, we plan the mission in the sandbox and assign waypoints to units or vehicles, then we hit GO and the player is given the option to play as first person perpective. For example you can control any of your units on real time using the Orders given to reach goals. If you order a Squad to move to Hill Alpha and stay there then you have to play as a grunt and move to that waypoint to achieve the given goal. After seeing how nice games like Medal of Honor look and feel it could be awesome to have a game like that, to let you give generals orders and then hop into any unit or armor vehicle. Could be a blast...instead of a 60 secon movie you get 3 or 4 minutes of real time to work it out!! But again...Im just dreaming
19. Hello Guys, Im not able to find any Snow Brit Armor or Support vehicles Mod, I would gladly appreciate a link or two...those Churchills look real ugly in snow without any snow covering them.
20. Hello guys, thats an excellent idea...here is my two cents. Some five years ago when the Star Wars Forums on AOL were good enough to read some guys made a publication called the Holocron, it was a Windows Document in Zip form, with nice pictures inside and it was a lot of fun to read due to embeded articles made by different writters. The reason they choose Windows Doc was the easier compatibility with most users. So...there is my idea of how you can publish something over the forums with the less amount of effort or money.
21. Hello guys you might wanna check The History channel is gonna be running a special on the T-34 Sunday, December 30th 9:00 PM-10:00 PM and Monday, December 31st 1:00 AM-2:00 AM.
22. Hello guys, I got the first release of PE..wich with the 1.8 patch and installer went from average to a good game. Yes its true that physics are screwed but the rest of the experience is worth the money. Remember that in 1999 when Sony bought Psygnosys the PE licence got stucked in a bad deal and only the first batch of games were released. In a few months the game was a rarity and people began to sell it on ebay for lots of money...the game went up to 89 bucks. The PE mod comunity did a great job and the dedicated programes got the licence back to a re-launch, wich will include all the mods. In terms of graphics and gameplay, PE was in 99 a game ahead of its time, and now that we have the technology to run it, it looks and feels great. But the true joy of this game comes to replayability and customization, the maps are very detailed of the true sites and the options to play it "gamey" and real are great..you can even disable the mini tank and play every position as it was in WWII. The Multiplayer game is fantastic, and the PE people meet in Kali room 61 to play it some times. TCP/IP is available too. So if you guys wanna play me...Im game. I strongly recomend to get this game wich have a tremendous support from their producers who once posted on their boards that it was ok to burn the disc for distribution when the licence sank, with only the promise of the players to buy it if it would become available again.
23. Guys thanks for all insights and opinions. I have found the true source of this tank, and it was done to replace the Chaffe..please refeer to this link to read the story. http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/m41.htm
24. Hello guys, I posted this message in the wrong board. Im confused about the modeling on the M4a1 Tank. I went to buy me a model from 21st Century Toys wich someone told me it was an exact replica of the real thingy...but I noticed that the turret was longer than the ones in my CMBO Simulator. Im adding a Pic of my model in the hopes that any of you could point me in the right direction about this. [ 12-17-2001: Message edited by: Venjra ICQ 2126434 ]
