  1. What is happening?! It appears I am the only one left upon this hill. Me and a bunch of empties, and a bread-firing mortar carrier. I am surrounded by a minefield that I don't have the maps to penetrate (sit down, Bahaus). When will I be re-supplied(and where, O where are my former (new) compatriots)? Sir? General, Sir? It appears the trolls are gathering again. I dunna' think I can hold them back on me own!! I only gots one extra barrel and three belts a' ammo!!
  2. Two-million, three-hundred forty-six thousand, nine-hundred eighty-two and twenty-eight cents.
  3. Yes Sir, General! Here I will stand, and here I will fall. p.s. Sir, it appears alcohol has caused many of our cadre to have already fallen, Sir!
  4. I work In Eugene, Oregon (about 200 miles South of Seattle). We were having a meeting in my office, when a lady noticed the stained glass panel hanging in my window swingin to and fro. "Why is this swaying like this," she said. I said "It's just a breeze from the ventilation". About 15 minutes later we heard about the earthquake and realized that the "swaying stained glass" occurred at the same time as the earthquake. Freaky! 5. BUMP. By-The-Way (BTW), though a "bong" is sometimes used for ingesting drugs, a "beer-bong" is a relic from the early 80's teenage American wasteland, and involves a funnel, a tube, and someone who can open their throat withou the need to swallow. Anyone relate to "shot-gunning" a beer? Any-who, this place is a frickin' mess. I say we move to a different hill and protect it from the trolls. Can I get a huzzah? Huzzah!
  6. Fourties?? 'at's exactly what we (hic) need to 'old them trolls at bay. A good mount (sit down Stuka) of Bofors 40mm. Somebody that can walk go over and turn Iskander on his side. Now where'd that beer-bong go.... [This message has been edited by Leeo (edited 02-27-2001).] [This message has been edited by Leeo (edited 02-27-2001).]
  7. Terribly hard (sit down Mace) to polish a flag, and it looks as if the pole on this here hill is worn near through by those that came before me (all of you just cut out that snickering).
  8. Believe it or Not, I've got a cousin down the road that makes some My-te-fine homebrew. However, up here in the NorthWest, there are a great many small breweries that make some mighty fine beer (and my blurry vision is witness to that). Now where can we slay some trolls? Or does being an FNG make me ineligible for such a position?
  9. I can't believe all these empty Pud-Light cans. Anyone up here ever try a micro-brew? (nothing personal folks; if you take the micro- part personal, then get over it) Ah. Lovely view from up here indeed, though I fear the EPA is going to come in here and declare this hill a Super-fund waste site. Anyone up to installing a recycling bin while we're waiting for the trolls?
  10. OOo-boy, I just spent all day working with statistics (like every other day), and I can't calculate another mean. I guess I'm being mean spirited. Oh, and by the way, I'm 38. [This message has been edited by Leeo (edited 02-27-2001).]
  11. Hey!! Don't you folks need some FNG's to berate, walk point, and scrub the latrines? Were it not such an opening and evident turn-on to you 'Poolers, I'd even promise to polish the flagpole fer ya! ------------------ "I fart in your general direction"
  12. Thanks to Berli for the forthcoming thrashing. Glad to see his e-mail is up again. How many of you use the "One-Click" PBEM utility? Are there any drawbacks to using it?
  13. Thanks for bumping this, aaronb! I was wondering what you were referring to when you said you were using a utility for PBEM. I'm going to download it. Would it cause a problem for our current game underway, or should I wait until I start a new PBEM?
  14. Thanks to all for the info. I suspected it was a relatively easy task to accomplish. I look forward to receiving Berli's e-mail. I will begin the insultation once I feel ready (or stupid) enough to venture into the Cess. However, I prefer to conduct myself with decorum on the Outer Boards. Thanks again to all! p.s. I'm using v1.12
  15. Thanks!! To be honest, though I am a board gamer from way back, I'm just a mewling kitten as far as this PBEM stuff goes. I honestly need someone to sorta hold my hand through the whole thing (ain't that pitiful?). How about you send me the set up (I know it's an imposition), and if possible, the steps required to do such a thing in the future. I'd be forever grateful (and may perhaps even consider being your squire, if such would be useful to you, though I realize I am not currently worthy of such an honor). Would you mind? I'll accept whatever you deem appropriate for a lesson. Thanks so much!!! (p.s., I've been playing CMBO since I got it for Christmas, and understand basic in-game mechanics (as well as the joys of the wonderful mods out there)).
  16. CMBO is more than I could ever have hoped for!!! Hello all. I have also been known as Tankety_Lee (okay, 2 posts). That is a work persona, though (I can't quite get them to let me play CM at work). Any-hoo, I'm tired of kicking the crap out of the AI. I would prefer to play the Germans (it's a weakness), and would like to play a QB in whatever form desired. I am new to the whole PBEM thing, and would therefore require some training. However, I am 38 years old, and was originally infected by PanzerBlitz. My buddies and I still hold gaming weekends when possible, and most often play the Original Squad Leader. Someone wanna teach me a lesson? I look forward to instruction, with the ultimate intent to work my way up through the cesspool (ok, I'm a lurker, too). I would hope to provide a turn or more per day, and would greatly appreciate someone showing me the detailed protocol involved with PBEM. Thanks in advance to my teacher(s).
