I dont know what QBs you are playing but my turn movies easily get to 1mb. 2mb and higher isnt too rare either. With all the new bells and whistles 10mb might very well be reached. And not everyone uses G-Mail so their mailboxes might fill rather quick! Steve himself said they are really trying to get it in. They arent stupid so ofcourse they are trying that. Nor should we be under the impression we were given the heads up on this issue just to mess with our minds, if it was easy to implent PBEM they wouldve done so and kept quiet about the whole thing. </font>

Ahh that's a really interesting way to find out. Still it's intermingled with a lot of useless crap (sorry guys! ) I wish there all that information could be in one single post for easy viewing. I'm sure someone will do it in time.

While I love browsing the forums I don't have time to read every single thread, especially the ones that go on to 5 and 6 pages long so I'm sure I end up missing a lot of critical bones that the Battlefront guys are tossing us. Is there anybody with too much time on their hands who could possibly create a CMx2 FAQ that contains all the known facts regarding CMx2 and update it as often as the Battlefront guys tell us new info? That would be a huge help and would definitely go a long way to helping me stay caught up with all the pertinent info!

I'm sure as old men they probably find gratuitous cussing a little offensive but I really have trouble believing that as 22-23year olds they didn't swear. I mean it was only 60 years ago, I'm suring swearing wasn't just invented in the past 20 years. Now I don't swear in everyday conversation but if someone shot a bullet at me or if I drop a hammer on my toe then I would probably say something and so would have they I think. That said I think Pseudosimonds is right is right when he says that Tom has run out of worthwhile ideas and Sequoia is right in that we probably all provide all the neccessary profanity ourselves.

Movie Playback- This is the only thing I can think of. The ability to save each movie turn and then merge them all into one big movie.

I'm with your there Sombra. These war readiness rules are completely unrealistic. I think it would be more realistic to have random events or at least make war readiness of different countries unavailable to the players so that they can't tell when countries are about to be activated.

I fixed it! You were right Schrullenhaft it was the drivers. But I didn't really realize it until I tried to hook up my digital camera and it wouldnt recognize it (Windows XP should be plug n play) So I went to the device manager and there was a big yellow question mark next to USB. So I let it install the USB drivers and that fixed that. Then I thought to myself, hey, I wonder if there were any other yellow question marks around there, so i went back and checked and sure enough it was. I just got Windows to update the drivers itself and sure enough my computer shut down perfectly. So perhaps if any other computer noobs like me have a question like that, perhaps the first thing you should have them do is go to the device manager and look for any really obvious big yellow question marks I actually have a few more questions. I dont have auto update on and with this stupid service pack there is an icon in the sys tray displaying that fact and every time I start up the computer a little bubble pops up tellng me that I dont have it on as if I was some kind of retard. Is there any way to turn that annoying prompt off? Also, I use a mouse and this touchpad is bugging the hell out of me. Sometimes i accidently touch it while im typing and i delete what im typing!! The drivers for it is called Elantech. Is there any way I can disable the touchpad without installing any of the drivers for it? (I like to keep my systray as empty as possible)

As far as I know we have the exact same computer. Bought them a month apart, and last time I went they didn't have any so I know this is from a new batch. I don't know if this helps any but this morning I reinstalled the Japanese version of Windows and it shut down fine with nary a problem. That leads me to believe that it's an OS problem or at least a hardware compatibility issue with the OS. I looked at the event viewer for errors and copied someof them into Microsofts website diagnosis thing but I couldnt really come up with anything. Is there anything wrong with leaving a laptop on all the time as long as its well ventilated? I know thats not really a solution but I'm just really tired right now.

I just picked up a new notebook today, which I'm quite happy with so far but unfortunately I've encountered a problem where the comp crashes (or seems to crash) whenever I choose to shut it down. It goes right to the screen where it says "Windows is shutting down" and then thats it. The mouse pointer freezes and the power button doesnt work. I have to remove the battery to get it to turn off. Very frustrating. I dont know what the problem could be. My roommate bought the exact same laptop and he seemed to have no problems whatsoever. I bought it in Japan, and because it has a Japanese OS I installed an english version of XP Pro. I've done all the Windows updates and I have SP2. I read somewhere that having the East Asian language pack installed can cause this problem so i reformatted and tried again without installing the language pack but it still freezes. I also read about how sometimes the USB powermanagement can cause some problems when shutting down so I followed the directions and that still didn't help. Can anyone think of a reason why my computer doesnt like me? It would be much appreciated.

Just a couple of questions for you experts. Nothing serious, more like minor annoyances. 1) I can't figure out how to get Outlook to automatically send/receive when I start it up. I've found the tab that automatically makes it send/receive when I exit but nothing for when i start. 2) Is there anyway I can stop it from trying to start up Windows Messenger when I start Outlook? I've been scouring the Options but have been having trouble finding a way to turn it off. 3)And one more question. How can I import my contact list from Gmail to Outlook?

I downloaded and installed ICQ 2002a so that i could get rid of the ads, but now I've found that this version of ICQ takes up a space on your taskbar when you have it open!! I've looked and simply cannot find an option that lets me turn that off. Does anyone know if i can?

How many people other than the 5 very vocal advocates on this thread would really want or utilize it though?

Strategic Command takes up enough time as it is. I have no interest whatsoever in watching other people play. However the idea regarding the timers sounds interesting and I think it is something that should be included in game.

Actually, now that I double check, I see little frisbees underneath all the icons-even the navy (the circles are still there-they're just not filled in)

Will it be possible to turn off the red and grey circles underneath the icons? Will it be an in-game option is what I mean. I tried picturing the icons in my mind without those little frisbees and I think I would like the look a lot better. If there is no option, will it at least be possible to mod it out? Or will they be hardcoded into the game>?
