  3. Hi Wasi Try 'Shift C' until you get the size to 0 That should do it. DG
  4. aka_tom_w Sorry to hear you're having problems. The files were recompressed, uploaded and tested on Sunday, so they should have worked fine thereafter. You may just have hit the server during a very busy period, these files are proving to be popular. I just tried a d/l from the office and it worked fine. Please try again if you hav'nt already got the files. DG
  5. Okay I'm back and I'm on it. I'll replace the whole zip file just in case. Thanks for taking care of that in the meantime Manx. Co-operation in action. DG Done: Complete and tested replacement file 4 now available. [ 06-16-2001: Message edited by: DraGoon ]
  6. Welcome modsluts, is this what you have been waiting for? Major changes afoot this month. We are very happy to announce that CM Outpost and Combat-Missions are joining forces to combine our efforts to bring you mods, reviews and drool inducing previews. Both sites will retain their identities, Combat-Missions will continue to bring you the mods and all the other services Manx provides so well, CM Outpost will provide comparisons of the mods and will return to teasing you with snapshots of forthcoming mods, provided by the mod authors and their test teams. To cement the combination of the two sites we are very proud to be allowed to offer a very special mod, jointly hosted by the two sites. Magua has completed version 1 of his new Normandy Terrain, this Mod amounts to about 20mb (if you are a total mod slut and want both bright and subdued versions) and is split over 7 files. As a result we have divided the files over both sites to allow the bandwidth to be shared and hopefully keep both sites up during the expected feeding frenzy. We have a standby plan in case either should have difficulties. Time will tell if it works. Enough waffle, to get to the files go here and here. I would like to express my thanks to Magua and Manx for helping make this possible. DG [ 06-16-2001: Message edited by: DraGoon ]
  7. Well there would have been but due to a recent rush BTS are out of stock, seems some beefy bald bloke bought up all the remaining inventory. Instead we bring you the first work of one of our new reviewers, W Millar Logan (Highlife), and his comparison of Fernando's PSW series. Pop over to the outpost, check out the review, then come back and say hello to Highlife. Ta DG
  8. Thanks for your comments Marco, and I appreciate your patience, but you don't have to wait for me, fire them on over to CMHQ anyway. CM Outpost should be back up in the morning (GMT), and with a bit of luck we should be able to get the files available tomorrow evening. The site is moving on to a different server at the hostco ATM and I should have FTP access back in operation shortly after the site is back up. DG
  9. Hi All The situation with CM Outpost is as follows. After the last site update the Hostco informed me that we were about to go over our monthly bandwidth allocation for the third month in a row. (Due to the high level of bandwidth usage, over 10gig/month, CM Outpost has had to be hosted on a commercial server.) They kept the site up but prevented any additional uploads (no FTP Access), hence the lack of an update since the 19th. Over this last week the Bandwidth usage must have been excessive (can't access logfiles either) which has led to them making the site unavailable. I will be in further discussion with them tomorrow, and hope to resolve this situation then. If they can't or won't assist then we will move the site elsewhere, Manx and others have been helpful in suggesting alternative hosts. Thanks for your patience, we will be back soon. DG
  10. Hello Fellow Modsluts Now available for your downloading pleasure. The Complete Marco Bergman Sherman Range in Hi and Lo-Res: - Plainpak - Fullpak - Winterpak Try not to use up my whole month's bandwidth in one day. I think I feel a bandwidth increase coming on. DG Go Here. ------------------ CM Outpost
  11. Congrats, great to hear that the new site is on its way. Appreciate the amount of work that has been put in to make this happen. BTW B*gger that there isn't a spell checker on the subject line, isn't it. GD&R DG
  12. I'm interested to hear that Gremlin, can you email me specifics. The site is hosted on a commercial server with high speed direct connex to backbone. We use this service regularly for other sites. I would be interested to hear at what times and with which ISPs you have difficulties. After this weekend's fiasco I am considering our options as far as hosting goes. See my comments in: http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/Forum1/HTML/016677.html Thanks DG ------------------ CM Outpost
  13. Yep, indeedy, we be back. The problem was caused by file corruption on a disk on the server on which the site is hosted, now fixed. There was no relationship at all to the amount of traffic on the site at that time. Just for interest; After posting the Bergman updates, between 1030 and 1630 (when the site became unavailable) we had 1020 page impressions, 323mb of files were downloaded, 66 downloads of Marco's Shermans and 29 of Kitty's KT (which had already been available for a day). Mostly in the later stages of the above times. Co-incidently that would be about the time a lot of folks went to work on the East Coast of the US, Hmmm...... Glad to be back. DG ------------------ CM Outpost
  14. Still Down It would appear that the hosting company have locked the site down. Looking at the timing of this I can only surmise that there may have been a rush to D/L the new mods on Friday, which might have caused server or bandwidth problems. I am still awaiting a formal reply from the host co.
  15. Hi All A guy goes away for one day and look what happens. CM Outpost is still down, I can't even get into the site with FTP at the moment. The site is hosted on a commercial (paid for)server, I can ping the server and can access the main directories but cannot get at CM Outpost. I am awaiting a reply from the host company, as soon as I can get to the site I will have it back up. I would like to thank all those who have been distributing the files and helping out in the meantime, including Old Dog and Kitty. I think PawBroon deserves a special vote of thanks for service above and beyond the call of duty. I would appreciate it if anyone who has a reasonable idea of what time the site became unavailable could let me know. DG
