1. Feeling the growing desire for little colorful chocolate pills while watching M&M's fight.
 2. i just hope , IF there is a european version that we are not forced to buy it... here in austria, we dont have the problem with symbols being forbidden, still, sharing the same language as our german neighbours, we allways get the shaft on localised versions this can be a PITA if distributors more or less enforce local versions
 3. this is beginning to look like some cheap facsimiles trying to impose a cesspool™-thread
 4. hmm.. now if that topic would read "Stop those IDIOTIC DEMAND IN SUBJECT LINE!!>:-( " that would open a whole new can of worms... generally speaking, simply ignore them (or, put them into the same bin as the tinfoil-hat guys.. you know the conspiracy theorists and doomsayers )
 5. Shhh... dont reveal our secret Austrian counterpart of the Hummer Just imagine the psychological effect if they storm damascus on Pinzgauers There you have your way of nonlethal combat... rofl can be quite disabling
 6. its allways the same when upgrading the rig... going t he value way and do several upgrades, or going high end and then having your gear degrade slowly through upperclass until it hits middle class where you have to upgrade (at least parts) again? personally i took the dive for some top notch gear, emptied my pockets so robbers would start to weep if they jump me then again, i need the processing power for work anyways, so that 4800+x2 was set in stone anyways.. just the gfx choice was a bit game oriented, but then, who would build a porsche, and then weld some wooden charriot weels to it? at least, now i know i cant do anything dumb anymore with that 2k€ anymore
 7. that thread made me rise from my lurking state again.. in my internet cafe we regularly have direct duels with cm.. started when i unpacked my fresh CMBO copy in the cafe and tried it out there... all sorts of people have fallen to the addiction over time.. and im sure, it will be the same for CM:SF... On a side note... will there be any posters or ad banners one could get? we allways got some free walls, and i like to get people addicted to games i like myself [edited in] and for the age, 28, the people i made addicted to CM varies widely from 16 - 60
 8.
quote:
Originally posted by ciks: Thanks Hofbauer. 9. Well.. I guess I have a sollution for the order - problem! Simply lets hand a hat round, and everyone draws a number.... . . . . We take my hat, ok? I'll support the numbers as well.... ey... trust me
 10.
quote:
Originally posted by Slapdragon: How about this as a way to take our minds off of world events. I will write a truely tough WW2 history quiz. No ultra obscure idiot trivia (like how many road wheels on a Char but very tough questions you might find in one of my history classes. I will post the questions on Friday. The first person with the most questions correct who e-mails me after the sign up period is over, and I will buy them a copy of CM:BB (and ship it to them unless they live someplace mail costs 50 bucks, like Maine). Anyone interested in a little contest to pick up spirits?

Well... I am sure i cannot compete with the other guys participating (mainly grognards i guess) but hell, i would like to give it a try and sign up for that quiz too Who knows, maybe Lady Luck throws me some kisses .... (guess i would need quite some kisses )

GAFF

But on the other hand, some people like to store Snowballs in the freezer AFTER they have poured some water over it..... it is said these snowballs not only keep shape for quite a while, but they also pack quite some punch.... 12. Hmm.. I am not very familiar with the tech details (I am even not an American... but I still like these behemoths of war) but I guess the defensive side always gains an advantage... (see the example with the 57mm flak...).. Sure, a BB can't survive long without a whole fleet protecting it... but don't tell me that carriers do.... on the other hand, a carriers main weapons are planes (which it has stocked only in limited amounts). Now, as shown above, plains (even invisible ones ) can be shot down rather easily... leaving the Carrier rather toothless... and I think that American public would revolt if the navy starts to send in waves after waves into an SAM cluttered area just to hit a vital target.... and every wannabe dictator could afford a decent AA-system. Maybe even buying it of America on the other hand, we have a battleship... it too needs the protection of a small armada... but it relies on 16" arties as its prime weapon... now... I am not sure, but I doubt that a 16" shell in transit can be intercepted at all... and if this can really be done... I doubt that anyone will waste a tear for the poor shell... So, my guess is that BBs are more effective when it comes to deliver destruction to a specific target that is well defended... Airplanes are just too fragile (and expensive in both resources and live costs). Another nice effect of the battleship has already been addressed quite often... it is simply a psychological weapon.... I would feel much more uncomfortable when being shelled at with this nasty big unstoppable (?) arty than being attacked by airplanes when I have a good chance of bringing them down before they can deliver their ordnance... well, just my 10 Groschen here (sorry, here in Austria we don't have Cents yet ) -- TargetDrone p.s.: Anybody can tell me where i can get decent info on the phalanx systems and other ways to counter missiles and Cruise Missiles?
 13. Well, it might be intended.. i don't know... I tried several times to play a QB on a Small map with 5000 points.... however, after purchasing my units, i always end on a medium sized map... Okok.. i know that it is highly lunatic to play a 5000er battle on a small map.... but hey.. if i can change the settings accordingly, i also want to play my little Rushhour-Slugfest ------------------ TargetDrone Commander of the Smiley Liberation Force
