  1. I get what you mean, Ian, but they'd need to be tagged to any specific scenario by the scenario designer themselves. There's nothing for me to tag them to, since those new maps do not (yet) exist.
  2. Hey guys. In Granny, sorry, mistress Wetherwax's words: I aten't dead! And I've made a new mod too! What I've always missed in CM's cities are roads are kerbs. Also, I've been wanting to do typical Dutch style city roads and pavement for the Market Garden module for a while now. The result looks quite good, but there are some issues users should be aware of: -This mod will not look optimal on existing maps as, due to the addition of kerbs, proper use of the appropriate segment, its placement and orientation is vital. This is not always the case on existing maps. - The kerb and pavement effect also works best when used together exclusively. This, also, is not the case on most existing maps. So, when creating new maps using this mod, avoid mixing in different types of paved ground, as the end result will not look good. Also, when used together, make sure you put a pavement tile underneath each road segment as well. Remember, the Dutch like things neat and tidy! ;-) - Many road configurations (for which the game's road system often just isn't designed) were always easy enough to fake with the stock roads, without it being too obvious. Once again, due to the kerbs, not so much with this mod! The mod is intended for CM:BN's Market Garden module, but can basically be used in any CMx2 game. For now, here's a screenshot. I will upload it to CMMODS in a couple of days!
  3. I'm with Vinnart as well. What's more, the saved diskspace really is negligible in this day and age. I remember my first hard drive ever, back in '94: 150mb! Now that was a time when diskspace mattered!
  4. Dang, you're right. In fact, I see all the optional wounded icons for that particular gun are missing. Tsk. How sloppy. Thanks for pointing it out, though. Bound to happen with so many files. I'm not going to update the mod for this, but I might post the missing files here.
  5. Although I expected v4 (final) to be the definitive version of TweakedUI for CM:BN, it was -obviously- not to be. After many requests i've finally decided to update TweakedUI to include full support for CM:FI and its Gustav line module. There are also a few other tweaks/additions that affect both games: WHAT'S NEW IN v5: - CM:FI base game and Gustav line module are now fully supported. - New unique portraits for Canadian, Polish and NZ forces. - New Bren weapon slot icon. - Cosmetic updates to loading bars and command buttons. - Optional French language splash background for CM:BN. Get it now in at GaJ's ! The repository will follow shortly, as usual. NOTE: You will find this mod in the CM:BN section!

  7. Guys, I'm in need of one more tester. Modding a game I don't actually have makes it a little more difficult to get everything right, so another set of eyes wouldn't hurt. Post here if you're interested. If you've ever tested for me before, then all the better! Juju
  8. Ah, yes, the time we broke the server. Good times, good times.
  9. Yeah, who'd have thought, I'm actually glad I'm doing this. It's always fun doing a little modding now and again. I may have to refresh my memory on how to do snow effects when 'Bulge' comes around.
  10. And there I was, saying it was never going to happen, but it's almost there: TweakedUI v5 is just about finished. For CM:BN users there's but a single new Bren gun icon, but CM:FI users can soon enjoy a fully compatible version of TweakedUI! Here are the new (WIP!) previews:
  11. Awesome, I was already getting impatient, as I'm getting along at a fast pace, as usual. I'll PM you shortly, thanks!
  12. Soo, I'm going to need a tester, if anyone's game. Just the one is fine. You need to own both FI and GL. If you're one of my former testers, then all the better. Post here, e-mail or PM me if you're interested.
  13. Death from above part deux, as requested. In post #1's preview!
  14. Well then, you're the actual intended target audience for this type of project. It will also come with a spreadsheet, which, like you, I haven't started yet! Heh, 'Death from above' nailing your own troops. Sounds like fun. I already have an idea...
  15. Now, I won't name any names yet, but 'this guy you all know' yet again came up with this neat new concept. New to CM, that is. The entire gaming world outside of CM has been saturated with it for years. What am I talking about? Achievements! Obviously for use in campaign games only. Since I'm the go-to-guy for 'this person you all know' for this type of odd-job, I happily sank my modding teeth into this one. I've been playing around with the idea for an evening. It's just a bit of fun, and nothing too serious. I just thought this was too cool not to share straight away:
  16. Yep, it's now official. You've all finally talked, whined, badgered, nagged and begged me into it. I will -at last- be updating TweakedUI v4 to be fully compatible with CM:FI (including GL). That means Italian silhouettes, branch icons, and -I haven't looked into this yet, but if at all possible- the Italian rank structure. Heck, maybe even portraits! It won't be a separate mod, but rather a complete mod pack that works for both BN and FI. That way things that are already in place in BN, but not FI, are ready from the get-go for any upcoming module that possibly includes them, as I won't guarantee quick future module updates just yet. Stay tuned! Juju
  17. A flavor mod, requested and brilliantly thought up by Kohlenklau. It's specifically intended for scenario designers who wish to simulate parachute drop zones on their maps. Comes in two flavors: early war white and late war olive drab. This mod is tagged and as is it's only usable for the Market garden module. It can basically be used in any CMx2 game by fiddling with the tag system, though. Available at GaJ's right now, and shortly at the repository. NOTE: This is not a mod in the traditional sense. It is specifically intended for scenario designers who wish to simulate drop zones on their maps. They will release it themselves as a custom companion mod along with their scenario. There is no point in downloading and installing this mod if you are not a scenario designer.
  18. Heh, like I said in the first post, only when I get bored. But, to be fair, the actual work in doing them is pretty minimal. And I do get a lot of requests for them, I might as well get it over with. Got a few weeks of vacation coming and I'll see what I can do. Gosh... Seems there's going to be a semi-dedicated UI mod for FI after all. Who'd have thought...
  19. Derfel, damn, you're right. The optional wounded icons for it are in there, but the Breda M37 files are missing from the mod. That was sloppy. I'll upload an update at GaJ's tomorrow! But otherwise everything from the preview is in there. If you referring to the 'missing' Breda 31 and 38, they were never included in the mod to begin with. Cheers, Juju
  20. Hi there guys, First, to head off any questions: no, there is no dedicated CM:FI UI mod. No, there will never be one. ;-) I'm just here to ease the pain a little, and maybe fix a few small issues. At GaJ's you will now find an update to my CM:FI weapon slot add-on for TweakedUI from a few years back. It's all I'm going to do on this, for now. I may, I repeat, may do the silhouettes at some point in the future. But only if I get really, really bored, and trust me, that hardly ever happens. WHAT'S NEW: This add-on now includes more/most CM:FI weapon slot graphics to CM:BN's TweakedUI v4 (final) mod. These are specifically intended for players who use TweakedUI v4 in CM:FI. This release also fixes a few texture mapping compatibility issues. Includes: - Beretta 34 pistol - Beretta 38 smg - Breda m30 lmg - Breda m37 mmg - Carcano rifle - Springfield rifle (with and without GL) - FG-42 (the correct early one this time) - Italian shells and mortar bombs - Lee Enfield no.1 mkiii (with and without scope) - Main background fixes: control panel interrupt buttons, menu button and C&C icons now fit the background properly - Optional Italian flag HQ silhouette - All the optional wounded icons that are featured in the original TweakedUI v4 Enjoy, Juju
  21. I almost forgot. With a bit of help from Frenchtouch there's now a French language version of the main menu splash background, available at GaJ's!
  22. It's also very much outdated. There's been three updates since! :-)
  23. CM:RT already has it's 'Red Thunder UI,' available at GreenasJade's. There is no UI for FI, and there never will be. Some people use this one for FI as well. It doesn't fit perfectly and lacks Italian weapons, though.
