I have searched the manual. I have tried searching the forum but I can't find out how this is used in FB. It's been years since I played CM, so my apologizes for asking what may be a really simple question.

Very nice to see him have similar problems I did. But I always forget to use smoke. I also never considered going down the left side through the trees.
I got waxed by the AGS and the HMG big time. Then on subsequent tries by arty as well. Gotta keep moving I guess.

I drove a BTR80 into the line of sight of an unseen Tunguska. I almost fell out of my seat at the sound when it fired. Good lord.
The 1/2 dozen red crosses that appeared in the follow seconds told me all I needed to know.
Man do I suck at this game. Have tried 2 small scenerios, and can't ever win. Even repeating them. Ugh.

Just started download. Getting between 50k and 500k. Varies all over. Blah. 3-5 hours to go. Boo.

Pretty clear you don't want to be in view of any ATM's, especially if you're in an armored car.
I am amazed that one of the vehicles survived the first shot, AND two guys got out after the second hit. Crazy stuff.

So I got the new pc and holy crap it flys. Ran some RT scenarios last night and nearly 100% settings and had zero issues. Smooth smooth.
Also a shout out to Puget Systems. Wow. What a company!! From the date I placed the order (Tuesday) it was 6 days till I got my machine. And I could follow the build in real time on the website. Complete with pictures and benchmarks as testing went along.
Now if I could get this freakin elicencing thing sorted out on Normandy I'd be happy. Ugh. What a pita.

Thoughts? I'm getting a new system and have a "wide screen" monitor already but it's probably 6 years old. I'm guessing its a 21?
Wondering how well CM looks across dual screens. Does the bezel of the screens screw up the feel when placed side by side?

Today I ordered a 1TB drive from Amazon that I'll move existing data over to and install in the new system. Only thing that will be on the ssd will be the OS and CM.
Fifty dollars for a super highly rated drive. Fifty bucks. Lol. Wow.

Oh yah. That's the Samsung Pro SSD I was referring to. From what I'm reading it's the best around.

What about an i5 4690k and one of those Samsung pro SSDs and just the onboard video on a Asus z97 mb?
Im looking at having Puget systems build it. I really don't want to do it myself now that I Think about it.
At worst I could add a card later.

Intel Core i5-4690K is just what I would recommend, what motherboard do you have in mind?

OC means OverclockingThat I've heard of. But what's the "OCable" mean?? Did he mean OC capable?
What is needed to overclock the CPU? Is it easy? No jumpers and crap I hope. (Been 20 odd years since I built a PC)
The 660 is a budget card, won't stand many modern games (assuming 1080p >medium settings) but is still overkill for CMWell..hmmm. I don't play anything else. To old for shooters anymore.

How's this - Intel Core i5-4690K $230.
Asus GTX660 for $160. Appears to have dual monitor outputs.
GPU doesn't really matterIm currently playing RT on a very old Nvidia card. Probably from 2007. Can't really hack RT in anything larger than small battles. (Which I happen to prefer, but still, not optimal)
Maybe this is not the fault of the video card? Just the old quad core processor perhaps?
I'm guessing anything is going to be a huge improvement. It's also OEM hard drive from however many years ago I got the PC (Dell)
Putting an SSD in my 6 year old laptop was a HUGE improvement, so I'm betting I'll notice the same in the desktop.
Hmm... How about a laptop for this game? Not sure I really want to get another desktop. I never use it for anything but CM.

Happens sometimes during a game, and other times while loading the music cuts out. Sometimes it comes back, but often not. This is with the newest patch and playing Nato. Not sure if same happens with other modules.
Have never had this issue until today.

You couldn't pay me to play CMBO/BB again. Sorry, it's ancient and way out dated. How anyone feels it's "deeper" I have no idea.

Um...you can just hit the "briefing" button hot key. No need to quit the game.
