Rune, I prefer Friday evening after work, but I could see how that would be a problem for out of towners to make. I won't be able to make Saturday though, too much kid stuff going on. Have fun.

Bump... And I just finished "Koltov." Interesting. Sergio, how is the ezboard going to work this time, since we all have access to it now - how are you going to keep people out until they have finished their games?

I don't think there is a BMP for that. The number of trees shown is handled in the code. What the individual trees look like is handled by the BMP. [ June 24, 2003, 06:26 AM: Message edited by: wadepm ]

A new site on Soviet operational art

"Field Artillery vs. Hostile Planes"!!?? That should be interesting reading! Are you going to have the PDF files accessible directly from the site? I think you may be overwhelmed with requests, at least in the early days. -
CMAK: Will it have more than 2 Player MP?
wadepm replied to MAsta_KFC's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Yes, it is NOT possible. -
I don't have the manual or a link to the other thread but I do have my prodigious memory. What I think BFC said was that the recovery/repair of vehicles was not covered within the scope of CM. I think bodding/breakdowns are lumped together as stated by previously. [ May 22, 2003, 03:03 PM: Message edited by: wadepm ]

How can I get quality time with my AT guns?
wadepm replied to Blah Blah Blah's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Fishu, what version are you playing with? There is known bug in 1.02 that makes hulldown AT guns all but invincible. This was fixed - to my satisfaction anyway - in 1.03c, which is still in beta. -
Go to Fort Knox, KY. They have a good collection, much of it indoors. I think Maddmatt and a few other CM stalwarts made a trip down there last fall? What was the state of that collection guys?

I read someplace that the guys carrying the M1 were just ready replacements for the guy carrying the BAR. I suppose it was the same in the German army?

Official (Revised) Strategy Guide Errata Thread

Time for a joke.... Boss: I studied your technical recommendation and decided it's impossible. Dilbert: I already did it. Boss: It will never work. Dilbert: It's working perfectly. Boss: You spelled this word wrong. Dilbert: That's a number. -

Apparently there aren't many. So this thread will slowly fade away..... -

Oh poop, you guys are no fun. I have had 3rd edition text books I paid $100 for with loose leaf errata sheets inside the front cover. I don't expect perfection from these guys either, but if there are corrections still to be made they should be recorded somewhere, right? And I don't think BFC decided to give free copies of the second edition out of the pure goodness of their hearts but because they were embarassed, and rightly so. I know I would be. I think the second effort is completely acceptable ... there are just a few remaining bugs to be hunted down. -
From the AT guns I have seen up close the gunner can work the traverse and the trigger while looking through the sight. I think with the IG you fire it with a lanyard like a "normal" howitzer? That has got to make it VERY difficult to hit a moving tank. Remember, in the situation I described the tank was going full speed on a dirt road at a range of 150 meters.
