  1. Rune, I prefer Friday evening after work, but I could see how that would be a problem for out of towners to make. I won't be able to make Saturday though, too much kid stuff going on. Have fun.
  2. Bump... And I just finished "Koltov." Interesting. Sergio, how is the ezboard going to work this time, since we all have access to it now - how are you going to keep people out until they have finished their games?
  3. I don't think there is a BMP for that. The number of trees shown is handled in the code. What the individual trees look like is handled by the BMP. [ June 24, 2003, 06:26 AM: Message edited by: wadepm ]
  4. "Field Artillery vs. Hostile Planes"!!?? That should be interesting reading! Are you going to have the PDF files accessible directly from the site? I think you may be overwhelmed with requests, at least in the early days.
  5. I guess I should have atleast listened to the wavs close to 00000170 huh?
  6. Ahhhh, blessed silence. Now hows about that explosion when you exit from the game?
  7. Rescued from the top of page 3! No need to thank me...all in days work. The three finals scenarios are interesting, if there are still spots available you should think of getting in.
  8. I agree, now that it is available for everyone we should use it. I can see where one of the scenarios at least may have a problem with the invulnerable gun behind the hill thing.
  9. Nidan1, thanks for the kind words. That scenario was one of my favorites too, very tense. I was/am looking forward to seeing your AAR. Maybe I can add the view from the "otherside" in italics or something. Let me know. I also have a place where you can post it too now, if your looking.
  10. I don't have the manual or a link to the other thread but I do have my prodigious memory. What I think BFC said was that the recovery/repair of vehicles was not covered within the scope of CM. I think bodding/breakdowns are lumped together as stated by previously. [ May 22, 2003, 03:03 PM: Message edited by: wadepm ]
  11. ahhhh, OK never mind. Still, the wait is nerve racking...sort of.
  12. Nabla, I thought you only had to reprogram if there were missing scores, but it seems from Sergio's post that he has filled these in somehow. What are you programming then?
  13. H, I beg to differ on the length of the AARs. I wrote a couple of short ones for the first ROW and got zero credit. I guess it would be helpful if Kingfish gave us some guidlines on what is acceptable?
  14. Fishu, what version are you playing with? There is known bug in 1.02 that makes hulldown AT guns all but invincible. This was fixed - to my satisfaction anyway - in 1.03c, which is still in beta.
  15. Go to Fort Knox, KY. They have a good collection, much of it indoors. I think Maddmatt and a few other CM stalwarts made a trip down there last fall? What was the state of that collection guys?
  16. I read someplace that the guys carrying the M1 were just ready replacements for the guy carrying the BAR. I suppose it was the same in the German army?
  17. Time for a joke.... Boss: I studied your technical recommendation and decided it's impossible. Dilbert: I already did it. Boss: It will never work. Dilbert: It's working perfectly. Boss: You spelled this word wrong. Dilbert: That's a number.
  18. Thanks Sergio. Great idea on the BBS and thanks for the effort in keeping the whole ROW thing rolling. Looking forward to the finals, maybe this time I will get in.
  19. Hey guys, if you have finished your games come on over and join the Rumblings of War BBS to see the results of the games finished so far and discuss the scenarios. P.S. Sergio, some of the results are getting a little stale, do you have any new ones to report? Thanks man.
  20. Apparently there aren't many. So this thread will slowly fade away.....
  21. Oh poop, you guys are no fun. I have had 3rd edition text books I paid $100 for with loose leaf errata sheets inside the front cover. I don't expect perfection from these guys either, but if there are corrections still to be made they should be recorded somewhere, right? And I don't think BFC decided to give free copies of the second edition out of the pure goodness of their hearts but because they were embarassed, and rightly so. I know I would be. I think the second effort is completely acceptable ... there are just a few remaining bugs to be hunted down.
  22. OK, I'll get it started: On page 1/68 the unit data for the Luftwaffe Mech Panzer Grenadier 44 Escort squad has a formatting error. They don't carry an MP40 SMG, all the data to the right of that should be shifted left one column. Small error to be sure....
  23. From the AT guns I have seen up close the gunner can work the traverse and the trigger while looking through the sight. I think with the IG you fire it with a lanyard like a "normal" howitzer? That has got to make it VERY difficult to hit a moving tank. Remember, in the situation I described the tank was going full speed on a dirt road at a range of 150 meters.
  24. Ordered...will it be there when I get home tonight? No, what the %$#$%@! What is the shipping cost for? Maybe tomorrow then....
