  1. If Battlefront modeled the next Black Sea module after the way the Russians are "fighting" now I don't think anybody would want to play as it would be way too easy.
  2. Now would be a good time for China to take back some of it's disputed territory. Vladivostok used to be Qing dynasty's Manchurian homeland named Haishenwai but was annexed by Russia in 1860 after China's second opium war defeat.
  3. On a Fox News interview: "LT. GEN. BEN HODGES: The Russians went after his [Fmr. Amb. to NATO Kurt Volker's] training center in Yavoriv, outside the city of Lviv, partly to demonstrate that they could reach the lines of communication that bring supplies and support from Poland into Ukraine. But also I think to maybe go after the logistics buildup that’s happening there. I don’t think we should overreact to this. The Russians, I think, are about ten days away from what is called the culminating point, when they just no longer have the ammunition nor the manpower to keep up their assault. I think we keep pouring it on, and the Russians culminate."
  4. Probably a few sniper teams looking for him right now.
  5. Based on what they saw of Russia's equipment they may be doing a review of what they have before they decide to do anything.
  6. I just read that a number of cities in Europe have announced they are changing the names of streets which base Russian embassies. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/russian-embassy-london-kensignton-zelensky-avenue-ukraine-lib-dems-b986647.html
  7. This was very interesting. Taken from part of the 4th letter: "Not only that, Xi Jing Ping was considering a takeover of Taiwan in autumn – he needs his own small victory to be re-elected for his 3rd term – there’s a colossal internal fight between the elites. Now after the events in Ukraine, the window of opportunity (to take Taiwan) has been closed. This gives the US an opportunity to blackmail Xi and also negotiate with his rivals on favorable terms." I highly recommend reading through the FSB letters posted above. The 2nd one is their assessment of Putin. Nothing we don't already know but they kind of confirm what everybody thinks of him.
  8. Very interesting and revealing as to what's going on. Especially the last part of the first letter that says "Our conditional deadline is June. Conditional because in June there will be no economy left in Russia – there will be nothing left." Not to mention on what they think the amount of Russians KIA are: "But even at our command no one knows. But probably closer to 10,000 Russian soldiers killed. And we are not counting losses at DNR & LNR."
  9. The Ukrainians will likely have more heavy equipment at the end of the war than when they started.
  10. NEW/RUSSIAN CONVOY: @maxar Russian military convoy that was last seen northwest of Kyiv near Antonov Airport has largely dispersed and redeployed. Signs they are redeploying in firing positions in the tree lines in the towns nearby. Signals of military action to come by Russians 6:58 PM · Mar 10, 2022·Twitter Web App
  11. On Fox News today: "A former Canadian soldier known as one of the world’s deadliest snipers arrived to Ukraine to help the nation defend itself from Russia, only identified as Wali to protect his family’s safety. Wali is a former sniper with the Royal Canadian 22nd Regiment who previously fought in the Afghanistan War. He has a kill distance of over two miles, according to the Mirror, and is known as one of the world’s most deadly snipers. He crossed into Ukraine on March 1 along with three other former Canadian soldiers after Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on foreigners to join the war against Russia’s invasion. " I wonder if he or any of the other Canadians had anything to do with the Russian general and other high ranking officers being shot.
  12. China seems to be backing both sides: "Beijing said Wednesday it will provide war-torn Ukraine with about $790,000 in humanitarian aid, with the first shipment already on its way, though China has yet to condemn Russia’s invasion of the country."
  13. Hard to do when most of their tanks and afv's are destroyed
  14. Russia’s central bank, faced with unprecedented sanctions and a plummeting ruble, said Wednesday it was suspending the sale of foreign currencies through September. Between March 9 and September 9, Russian banks "will not be able to sell foreign currencies to citizens," the central bank said in a statement, adding that it will be possible to exchange cash currency for rubles at any time and any amount. Also on Tuesday, American credit rating agency Fitch Ratings downgraded Russia’s credit rating from a "B" to a "C" and suggested that sovereign default is imminent. The ruble has crashed to just 0.0077 against the US dollar on Tuesday.
  15. US corporations can't do much about Putin. It cares about it's workers over profits for once. A good move for future advertisements though.
  16. That was captured by the elite 1st Ukrainian Tractor Brigade.
  17. Now that the US and some European allies are going to ban Russian oil imports not to make light of the situation but this is funny...
  18. Based on the support that NATO countries are giving the Ukraine now and them seeing how ineffective Russia is they would be willing to get more involved if Russia attacked a NATO country. Maybe not all of the NATO countries but at the very least you would definitely be able to count on Poland.
  19. I wonder what the Chineses threatened Putin with for him to hold off. He had to know about the weather conditions and what would happen when the ground thaws out.
  20. Severely it looks like. That's another thing Russia didn't count on. The huge amount of support that's pouring in and quicker than it has in the past with other conflicts.
  21. There are at least 4 - 8 weeks of rainy/snowy/muddy weather. Without the ability to really go cross country I don't think they will be able to rally and pick up much steam.
