  1. For those interested in the uncompleted CMAK sound mod. You can get it from here: http://rapidshare.com/files/65371050/CMAK_Sound_Mod.zip This is stored on my premium rapidshare account so it should be there for a while. Just note that I never did finish this mod so some of the sound fx may not be the best quality. I can assure you however that there are no 'clicks' at the end of the sounds... BTW, to the guy that was talking about the 'clicks' in the sounds: this was most likely caused by the conversion to/from .wav to .mp3. I tried to tell people years ago that converting your sounds to .mp3 to save space was a bad idea. I've always released my mods as uncompressed .wavs so if you find any of mine stored as .mp3s then someone else did that...
  2. Yes. 900rpm for MG34 and approx. 1200rpm for the MG42. I used the MG34 for the CMG/BMG/AAMG sounds for tanks...
  3. Sometime this week I should be finished with the weapon sound fx for my new sound mod. I need like 5 or 6 people that would be willing to test them for me and make suggestions for changes/improvements. If you would like to help, please send me an email to jjohnson@sherwoodpolice.org and I will send them to you when I finish. I will also be updating explosions, vehicles, etc. and will send them also when I finish them. Thanks...
  4. Yes it does. Tonight I start on CMAK. After that I will probably update the CMBB sound map like I did for CMAK and then finish off the updated CMBB sounds...
  5. Excellent! I use all of your vehicle mods. They are top notch! Thanks...
  6. Finished the mortars and AA guns listings. Pretty well finished now, except for the two unidentified sounds...
  7. Ah yes, so it does... I had forgotten all about the M3. Thanks a lot!
  8. Finished updating all of the larger gun mappings. Enjoy...
  9. Just a small update. Still working on the tank main gun sounds, almost finished...
  10. Updated the AA gun listings. Now to get a more accurate listing for the tank main guns, etc.
  11. Another update. All of the small arms and AT Rifles are now mapped correctly...
  12. Sounds like a job for someone other than me! That would be one very large (and long) undertaking...
  13. Updated the list again today. Just some additional weapon mappings...
  14. I don't know. I've never heard it play before. it may have something to do with pirating/copy protection...
  15. Once again, thank you. LOL, the only accent that I can hear with any degree of accuracy is Northern and Southern US accents. That ear-grating Yankee accent is hard to miss!
  16. 17. I've updated my sound map for CMBB. It is pretty spot-on except for the voice mappings. Since English is my primary language and I only know a small amount of German, the voice mappings are spotty. 18. Listed below is a comprehensive sound map for CMAK. There are a few that I have not determined yet. They are marked with <-- next to the description. If you know what the sound refers to, please let me know so that I can update the list. The easiest way to determine what a sound refers to is to make a backup copy of the .wav, and drop in a replacement. I use a DTMF signal .wav file and then listen in-game for the sound that I dropped in. If you want to try this method out but do not know how to create a DTMF wave file, send me an email and I will send you some test files that I use. Here's the list: 00000128=Selection bloop 00000129=End battle song - Taps 00000131=Medium/Heavy tank movement 00000132=Panther movement 00000133=Wheeled vehicle/HT/Light tank idle 00000134=Heavy tank movement 00000135=Wheeled vehicle movement 00000136=Light tank/HT movement 00000137=Wheeled armor movement 00000150-00000153=Click 00000160-00000162=House explosion/collapse 00000170=Drumbeat 00000171=Quit game explosion 00000190=Radio squelch 00000200-00000202=Small explosion 00000209-00000213=Medium explosion 00000219-00000221=Large explosion 00000228-00000231=Very large explosion 00000290-00000291=Small arms strike armor 00000292-00000294=Medium arms strike armor 00000295-00000297=Large arms strike armor 00000300=Fire 00000311-00000312=Vehicle abandoned 00000320-00000323=Large caliber ricochets 00000334-00000339=MP40 SMG/Beretta SMG 00000398-00000400=Pistol 00000410=Marosczek AT Rifle/PzB39 AT Rifle 00000411=Sniper rifle 00000412=Solothurn AT Rifle/Boys AT Rifle/13.9mm AT/20mm AT 00000420-00000425=Breda MMG/Breda LMG/Chatellerault LMG 00000435-00000442=MG42 LMG 00000445-00000448=MG42 HMG 00000450-00000454=MP44 00000470-00000475=Axis Vehicle CMG/BMG/AAMG 00000480-00000483=MG34 HMG 00000485-00000492=MG34 LMG 00000500-00000523=Scream 00000600=20mm AT/20mm Hvy AT/25mm L77/29.4mm L56/30mm/37mm/37mm L21/37mm L40/37mm L45/37mm L47/37mm L54/40mm/40mm L50 00000601=47mm L32/47mm L43/50mm L42/50mm L60/57mm L43/57mm L50 00000602=65mm L17/75mm/75mm L11/75mm L16/75mm L18/75mm L24/75mm L30/75mm L34/75mm L35/75mm L38/76mm/76mm L25/8cm Panzerabwehrwerfer 600 00000603=75mm L36/75mm L43/75mm L46/75mm L48/76.2mm L51/76.2mm L52 00000604=75mm L70/76.2mm L55 00000605=88mm L56/90mm L50/90mm L53 00000606=88mm L71 00000607=83.8mm L29/87.6mm L28/94mm L15/95mm L22/105mm L16/105mm L23/105mm L25/105mm L28 00000608=128mm L55 00000609=150mm L11/150mm L12/150mm L30 00000610=20mm L55/20mm L60/20mm L65/20mm L77 AA Guns 00000611=37mm L54/37mm L57/40mm L56 AA Guns 00000612=Flamethrower 00000620=Rocket artillery incoming 00000621-00000622=Large artillery incoming 00000623-00000625=Medium artillery incoming 00000626-00000627=Small artillery incoming 00000650=50.8mm Mortar/60mm Mortar/76.2mm Mortar/81mm Mortar/PIAT/290mm L4 00000651=Panzerschreck/Bazooka/88mm Raketenwerfer43/75mm L9 Recoilless/105mm L13 Recoilless 00000652=45mm Mortar/50mm Mortar/Nahverteidigungswaffe 00000653=Ampulomet? 19. I never uploaded my CMBB sound mod to Cm Mod Database, but IIRC, it is there, uploaded by AstroCat...
  20. Glad you liked the old one. You should like the new one as well when I finish it... I never got around to doing a mod for CMAK, although I did buy it. It is ripe for a mod though as the default sound fx are way too muted IMHO. I found a partial CMAK sound map and am in the process of identifying some of the sounds which were not listed. I'll let everyone know when it is finished and available for download... Edit: Oh yeah, one thing that I am going to do is standardize the sounds between the games (as much as possible) so that an MG42 in CMBO will sound the same in CMAK, etc. [ September 20, 2006, 08:44 AM: Message edited by: NCrawler ]
  21. After a rather long absence from the Battlefront forums, I return to find that people, like myself, are still playing the Combat Mission series. I think that I am going to release a newer, updated version of my sound mod for CMBO and CMBB. I will probably also create a new one for CMAK, but I need the sound map for it. Does anyone have a good sound map for CMAK that they could send to me? Thanks...
  22. What I'd like to see for CMx2: Sound effects/music converted to OggVorbis format. I really hate making a sound mod which is 45+ MB zipped... NC
