  1. How do you process the movies??? How do you set it up for AI vs AI??
  2. Someone in another thread said something about getting the computer AI to play itself. Is it possible and how do I do it? I am a BIG fan of AAR and this would let me analyze some of the computers moves. Thanks
  3. Nice Job Moon! That goes for BTS as well! Your responses to the questions on this board really reflect the effort you are putting into this cutting edge sim. For what its worth....I have noticed that if I park my Tiger on the hill to the Germans left flank in LD to duke it out with the Hellcats, its seems that the Hellcats score hit after hit after hit on me (shell usually bounces off) and my 88 rounds go wide. Maybe its just my bad luck.
  4. I am having trouble watching Fionns LD battle movies 9 and 10. All the other were fine using the "save as" feature but movie 9 and 10 wont let me type the passwords (I just get a beep when I try to type). Any ideas? Anyone else having trouble?
  5. Just a question about the AI in the final product. When we build our own maps, how will the AI know what to defend and what is important? Will the placement of the objective flags clue the AI into what it is to go for? Lets say I make a map with a bridge or road through the woods checkpoint, will the AI recognize this as a nice place for an ambush? Thanks, James
  6. Am I correct in saying that knocked out tanks do NOT block LOS? If this is true...WHY NOT???? and will it be fixed in the demo?
  7. Searched for this but had no luck. How in the world do I save a turn AFTER it is complete and I want to save the movie. I cant save (alt-S) until AFTER I hit done and the replay is lost. Thanks guys
  8. One of the things I really like about CM is the way the game models the acceleration of the tanks, however, it seems that it deos not model the stopping distance. The Hellcats will tear-ass down the road at upwards of 50 mph then come to an instant stop! Am I wrong or has this been addressed?
  9. I love CM the way it is! The system they have developed where as both sides plan moves and actions for the next 60 seconds and execute them at the same time is PERFECT! No more UGO-IGO and no more "click-fests"! Now BTS.....hunker down and finish this dream come true! Lanzfeld
  10. I am a big fan of better game play over graphics. IMHO I think the explosions and tank blasts are great and functional. One thing that is really cool to do is replay a battle and set the camera up to 3 or 4 and start at one end of the battlefield and scroll nonstop to the other while imagining your an aicraft flying low over the action. With all the tracers and explosions going on its great!
  11. Just a quick question..... Are both German grenades and American grenades modeled in the game? I was to believe that the German grenades were more powerful than the American ones and does CM simulate this?
  12. I have just started reading the Alpha Battle AAR at "TGN's Combat Mission HQ" and I have to tell you it is great! It takes quite a long time to read it all (I am reading the Axis turn 13 now) but what else to do while we wait for the final product? It is like a great book that I simply cant put down. I love the after turn examination of what happened and the battle plans that the author shares with us. Great work guys. Lanzfeld
  13. Can the skirt armour on the German tanks be blown off or are they always attached in the game?
  14. Hi Guys..... First off I have to say that I have been waiting for this game all my life! That may sound lame to some of you but I am sure that there are some of you out there that are like me and just cant keep a thought in your head because you are so excited about the final product! I am already worried about my girlfriends reaction to me spending every waking moment with this game. Big Time Software....you are the GREATEST! <love you man...> <sniff> Anyway.....I notice that in replay..all the teams seem to fire in cycles. That is...the MG's will fire a burst...wait a few seconds...and fire another burst... ect....Makes sense to me. But is there ever a time where they just go sick and hold the trigger down? Like if they are being overrun. I know that Brownings Model 1911 Machine-gun was fired for 48 minutes and 12 seconds straight in a demo to the Army. And...<Just as an example to this question!!!> on the D-Day battle in Pvt. Ryan the Germans unloaded some lead into those transports. Just a question. Everybody....keep up the great work and the interesting questions! I'm returning CC4 and making room for CM. Lanzfeld

  16. Hi Guys.. Im new to this very interesting sim. I'm a big CC fan but the 3D world of CM has me hooked! Anyway....I set up the Allies in the town to let the Germans get close enough for an ambush.....well....thats my plan anyway... 1. Why do units on HIDE always start shooting at distant targets? Mostly my 30 and 50 cal do. How do I stop them until I want them to shoot? I cant Ambush!!! 2. Why is it that leaders or HQ have the ambush command and nobody else? This does NOT make sense. I want my Bazooka team to stay put until that Tiger goes by and smack it in the rear.
